Good evening and wish me luck, ladies. Tonight is going to be the first time I'm wearing a rep to dinner. Now one could say go big or go home... I'm wearing it to The French Laundry.

Has anyone here done a solo Napa trip? I'm already lucky enough to be a plus one for a table at The French Laundry. Are there any other must do things?

I started ordering Hello Fresh because I am single, and was working 12-16 hours a day. Anyway, there was a weird smell in my fridge after putting my orders away. I checked the meat and the vacuum packaging was fine... not damaged. Has anyone else had this experience? I'm thinking it was the paper packaging, maybe?

So. A couple of weeks ago I visited a Michelin starred restaurant I was REALLY looking forward to. Unfortunately, I didn't believe the reviews... I should have listened. It turned out to be one of the worst meals I have had in a very long time. At this price point one would expect something at least reasonably good.

Please folks believe the reviews for Alinea. The funny part is that at first you might think it's you not understanding or not "getting" the food. The reality is it's them. Now, don't get me wrong the service was spot on... fantastic.

When in Chicago please, please go to Ever, Smyth or Oriole. Heck I had a better meal at Bavettes.
