I hate the thought of going into a relationship right now
I just wanna start by saying that i got out of a relationship turned toxic last year in September and im still mentally recovering from everything that happened last year in my life. I haven’t thought about moving on to new relationship opportunities because im simply okay with being single and i LOVE being by myself, i take myself out on dates and treat myself. I did try dating apps but thats like…..where the worst things that happen, and this is part of my rant.
Reason 1:
I genuinely hate how men my age act nowadays, or any age actually, because of the mindsets that these “Redpill” podcasts twats (im british btw) ingrain into their mind that cheating is okay or that women are below you, It makes me furious. You got birthed out of a vagina and hate women??? Lay off it.
It adds to the male loneliness pandemic, and then they say “oh why does every girl reject/leave me?” Take a step back to mature a little, maybe look at how you treat women or any other gender for that matter. Ask yourself “why am i acting this way?”, when will you see that this mindset will get you NOWHERE in life. I had guys get so fucking mean to me after i reject them because of how they open up a chat on Hinge (ew i know) But seriously??? this is why you’re still on the app!!! You cant handle the rejection!!
But Seeing men actually listen to these so called “podcasts”makes me question humanity sometimes. this is just one reason why im not dating.
Reason 2:
The amount of posts i see on Tiktok or here on Reddit about somebody’s partners cheating on them, sickens me. The fact that they will ruin a perfectly normal relationship just to either connect with their ex or for their own selfishness, makes me ill. But worst is when they’re either expecting a baby, living together, married, have children and a house. Everything that you want to have in your life, and you cheat on them? Or you manipulate them? emotionally abuse? so many things you could do to ruin a perfectly good relationship. Just for your own gain or pleasure? then you have to deal with divorce, moving out, shared custody, bills and whatever. You go through all of that because you decided to cheat? GET MARRIAGE OR COUPLES COUNCILLORS, PUT IN THE WORK TO FIX IT! DONT GET LAZY! If you truly ever loved them, you would work on it right? you might say “it doesn’t always work that way” But cheating doesn’t fix it either does it?? or even emotionally cheating???
Reason 3:
I just get discouraged from seeking a relationship when i see all of whats happening right now socially. im pretty confident in rejecting someone if i simply don’t like their behaviour or opinions or how they speak about their exes. Im perfectly fine with doing that.
But also I know its not my relationship to get involved with, obviously its not my business. but when its a public shame post? I dont want to be in their shoes at all and i feel so bad that the other person who had this happen to them, had to go through that. I genuinely feel so guilty for them.
I rather wait until the right person comes to me then actively seek someone out. and if that never happens, then im okay with that. I just don’t want to be hurt again and get cheated on. I rather love myself first and get better. But seeing all of this stuff, makes the thought of dating seem so overwhelming and depressing to me.
if you have a good relationship, then im happy for you and i wish you the best.
