ProCosplay Tobey Maguire Spiderman suit sizing help!

ProCosplay Tobey Maguire Spiderman suit sizing help!

Hey everyone,

Trying to decide what size suit to go for, and need a little help. I'm 168cm tall, so height-wise I'd fall into the Small category, but for the chest measurement I'm at 42" which is a Large on these suits. I normally make all my cosplays but with the Spidey suit I don't like my chances haha, so wanted to buy one.

I get the suits will have a little give in them, but I think the small is going to be way too tight? And I reckon the large will be way too long on the arms and legs. And with this suit specifically, with all the raised webbing glued on, I don't want to risk over stretching the material and causing it to rip off.

Anyone have experience with these suits that could provide some help, I'd really appreciate it! I have contacted all 3 suppliers of the same suit, ProCosplay, Unibuyplus and CosSuits, none have them have gotten back to me.

Why do I feel like my friends hate me? Can't stop worrying

It gets to the stage where I make myself feel so sick from worrying that I have to lay down for a while, my stomach is almost in knots 24/7.

I'm an incredibly anxious person, I'm always worrying about what will/can go wrong in situations, especially when it comes to losing friends.

It can be anything as small as a read message with no reply, my mind will just spiral worrying that my friend now hates me or is sick of talking to me. Or a message comes through and it reads a little dry, there has been so many times that's happened and I've immediately gone to apologise thinking I've done something wrong.

Anytime I'm not actually with my friends, if I don't see a message from them during the day, my mind immediately goes to "They hate you, you've annoyed them, you're a terrible friend". But then I don't message them first because I don't want to bother or annoy them.

I worry that I come across as too needy. If I'm not at work then I'm home on my computer, so any message notification I get on both my pc and phone, then I end up opening it straight away. I'm sure they see me read it almost instantly, and think "Does this guy not do anything else?", I'm scared that they'll think I'm weird for always replying straight away

If anyone has any advice, I'd be incredibly grateful! I want to try sort this before I actually mess up these friendships.

Prototype of my 1:1 Slinky I'm making!

Really happy with how he's looking so far! Still need to do some fine tuning and adjusting the colours a little, but overall really happy with how he's looking! With the feet though, I think the leg and foot may need to be one piece, as there is a bit too much movement around the pin which makes it difficult to stand.

I do plan on making multiple heads that I can swap between for different expressions!

3D modelled him a few weeks ago, then managed to get all the bits printed, then sanded and painted! Hope you all like him! :D

Overthinking is ruining my life. How to stop?

I'm so sick of not being able to react normally to something, the most minor inconvenience and my brain immediately just blows it right out of proportion.

I've got 2 friends, they are both amazing people and they mean the world to me. But I always feel like I'm annoying them or saying the wrong thing. If they are busy and maybe don't get a chance to reply, my stomach will be in knots all day worrying that I've upset them or annoyed them. I've had so many nights where we've been messaging and I sent the last message, then worry that I did something wrong and then I don't sleep all night.

I'm so scared of losing them as I can't stand being on my own, so I always just try play it safe, but then I worry I'm being boring and they'll leave me anyway.

Every little aspect of my life I overthink, I might not hear from a friend after they say they're heading home from work, then I worry that they've been in an accident. So then I look online, constantly refreshing the news and local groups, to make sure nothing has happened. And every single time, they're fine and nothing bad happened, but my brain can't stop thinking about it. Someone could pull out infront of me while I'm driving, and I'll be worrying for days after thinking "I could've hit that person, what if they had kids in the car, I'd never forgive myself". Even when it wasn't my fault at all and nothing happened. I hate it so much, it makes me so angry and upset that I'm like this, I just want things to change!

I always feel like I need to apologise, but then I end up saying sorry and they're like "You haven't done anything wrong, why are you saying sorry?". I don't say to them how I feel though, because I worry they'll think I'm weird and no longer want to be around me.

I have zero reason to think like this, but I can't help it.

How to stop overthinking everything?

I've always had this, but its definitely gotten a lot worse over the last few years. Any tiny little inconvenience my brain spirals and makes it into something 100x worse.

I could make a harmless joke at work, but people didn't laugh then my mind will spiral when I get home, worrying that I've offended people or annoyed them. My stomach will be full of butterflies all night, I won't be able to sleep at all. Until I get to work the next day and everyone is fine with me, nothing bad happened.

Or I'll be messaging a friend and they leave me on read, my brain will then tell me everything I've said was wrong, that I'm a terrible person, that I've destroyed the friendship. Then it just turns out that the friends phone died and nothing bad happened.

I make myself sick with how much I worry, for example, a friend could be heading home from work and said they'll be online when they get home. Maybe they're a little bit late, bad traffic or whatever. I'll then start to worry that something has happened, I'll be refreshing the news, checking groups making sure there hasn't been an accident. Its ridiculous, my mind shouldn't have to go there, I'd understand if I hadn't heard from them randomly for weeks, but we're talking 20 minutes here and my brain goes to the immediate worst outcome.

I hate being like this so much, it ruins everything I want to do. I've lost friendships before because I'm constantly checking "have I done anything wrong?", "I'm sorry if I've messed up, I didn't mean to" when nothing has happened.

But no matter how many times I convince myself that I'm overthinking things, and everything will be okay, I still can't help it.

For anyone who has had the same or similar, what have been some ways you've found to help it? I'm an emotional wreck at the moment and I'm really trying to work on things.

Advice on drain holes for hollow prints! Elegoo Saturn 4

Hey everyone,

Just finished modelling this Slinky ready for print, I did a test print with the head solid but its going to be way too top heavy, so will need to hollow the head and the body. Any advice on where and how many drain holes I'll need?

I'm probably going to do a wall thickness of around 8-9mm, so its still decently strong but not anywhere near as heavy. Ideally I want to try avoid as much post processing work afterwards, but I know there will be some.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Best way to orient these parts for printing? Elegoo Saturn 4

Hey everyone,

Both of the pictures are from the 2 failed attempts I've had.

Using an Elegoo Saturn 4, with the "ELEGOO 8K 3D Printer Resin, Standard Photopolymer Resin 405nm". Changed the exposure times to the recommended on the bottle.

Just got my Elegoo Saturn 4 and been having some great results on the first couple of prints, however I've tried to print these parts and have had 2 fails. The first fail was a delamination fail about halfway up the large object, the smaller objects were all completely fine though. The second fail, nothing printed, came back from work expecting it to be 70% done and the build plate was completely empty.

Had absolutely no issues before with the first couple of prints, and I know this printer auto levels, so I have no idea whats happened?

Going to try reprint in the morning, but wanted to try get as much info as possible to limit any future fails!

Appreciate any help!

New company requiring us to install clocking in/tracking app on personal phone?

I'm based in England and I've been given some new information about the company who is taking over, and their clocking in procedure requires an app we must install. "All employees are required to install Blip", "Blip is a mobile application which must be downloaded on your personal smartphone"

Can they force us into installing this?

Not overly fond of the idea that they can force us into installing an app on our personal phones, which will alert when we enter/leave the site area, prompting us into clocking in or out.

I appreciate any help!

How to not feel shy/embarrassed to have a laugh with friends?

Really looking for some help on this. I'm a very shy/introverted person, and it does take me quite a long time to build up trust in a friendship, enough to where I can start properly having a laugh and joining in with the banter.

I've built up a good friendship with two colleagues at work, who we spend all our shift together, chatting and joking around. I trust them both a lot and they are really good people, but I still cannot for the life of me act "silly" or make a fool of myself and have a proper laugh in front of them.

There is just something in me telling me not to, I want to join in with the random singing and silly stuff they do, but my body physically won't allow me to do it. I worry that if this keeps up they'll just start thinking I'm boring or no fun to hang around with. I've had the same with previous jobs where I could never get over that line and just be myself, I'll joke around a bit but only when I know its "safe" for me. I was bullied all throughout school, college and most jobs I've worked at, which has massively tanked my confidence, but its something I really want to work on as I know its holding me back in a lot of aspects of life.

Recommendation for custom buzz heads on the Disney Store buzz

Hey everyone!

Recently got my Signature collection Woody and picked up a Disney Store buzz for a display, I did want to change the head though as it definitely isn't quite what I want.

Has anyone got any recommendations for heads that will fit the Disney Store Buzz model, and where to get them? I'm based in the UK

I don't currently have a working resin or filament 3D printer, so can't print them myself.

Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you! :D

Thinning touch-up car paints for airbrushing on diecast model?

Hi everyone!

I'm about to start repainting a VW Golf MK4 diecast model for a colleague at work, and was wondering if anyone has any tips for doing so?

I found this touch up 25ml bottle of the right colour, and trying to look for some thinners to use but not 100% sure which one to go for. I do have multiple acrylic thinners for my airbrush, but I'm guessing a proper car paint thinner will be needed?

I would've preferred to use a normal acrylic as I'm a lot more familiar with the medium, but couldn't find much which matched, and this colour is the exact one.

Any help is greatly appreciate, thank you! :D
