Chamber heater suggestions?

Looking to add a chamber heater to my S1 so I can print ASA more reliably. Creality seems to have a decent enough add in kit but it looks like it requires cutting for a neat installation which I'd like to avoid.

Any suggestions on an alternative model that may fit better?

Bassinets that can be placed flat on a table or desk?

Hi all.

My wife and I are looking for a bassinet without legs that can be placed on a flat surface. We're very limited on space and plan on keeping our newborn on the desk next to our bed. We need it to have some kind of mesh cover to keep our cat from trying to sleep with our baby once she's born.

I've found some travel bassinet options online that fit the bill but none seem to be a quality product and many look like the same product sold by Temu style resellers.

Any recommendations on a bassinet that can sit on a flat surface but isn't awful?

Is there a way to tie day and night modes to sunrise and sunset times?

I have an aftermarket head unit for my Tesla. The unit doesn't tell my phone to switch from day mode to night mode, which results in google maps being stuck on day mode at all times. It connects to my car via a wiring harness and for whatever reason this function doesn't work with either my phone or my wife's Xiaomi. I can't see anything in settings that would allow me to tie the day/night function to sunrise and sunset. Is there a way to do this?

How much trust would you put into Choice's prams to avoid list?

Choice has their webpage listing a number of prams that meet Australian safety standards but failed Choice's own testing. I was very keen on the Redsbaby Aeron until I saw it was on their list of prams to avoid. The main complaints from choice were a harness that can separate (posing a strangulation risk), and a gap in the seat design that creates head entrapment and fall hazards.

I contacted Redsbaby to ask if the Aeron had been revised to address these concerns, and they responded with the following:

We want to reassure you that the AERON is safe. It passes all required Australian safety standards, including both the mandatory standard and the more comprehensive voluntary standard. In addition, the AERON passes the EN1888 European Safety Standard, which is, on many requirements, more rigorous than the Australian standards. We hold pass reports for all of our products according to these standards.

All of our products are independently tested by Intertek, one of the world's largest and most respected testing laboratories for children's products with over 130 years of expertise in product safety testing. Once we received Choice's testing results, Intertek reconfirmed that the AERON passed the full standard, and strongly disagreed with Choice's internal findings.

This position is further supported by safety group INPAA (the Industry Nursery and Pram Association of Australia), who we have worked closely with in disputing Choice's findings of the AERON. We have been a member of INPAA for several years.

It is also worth noting that Choice does not publicly disclose their specific findings; they are only available behind a paid membership. We stand by the safety of our products and the independent pass reports from Intertek, who are global leaders in this space together with INPAA's assessment.

Their response seems reasonable, but of course they're going to defend their product. Could Choice be overblowing these safety risks?

Google login borked?

I created an account through google a month or so ago. Attempted to log in today and I'm getting an error that says the account already exists. Is this a service outage/issue that's happening to everyone at the moment?

What would you choose between the Hikig and Meza mounts for dual VKB Gladiators?

I figured the printable mount for the monstertech in the second picture should fit the Meza so I wouldn't need to worry about the mounting plates being different.

Is there a chair mount that allows a hotas to pivot/rotate up and down like this so it can be stowed when using M&K?

Easily stowable mounts?

I'm trying to find a mounting system that won't break the bank for my Gladiators. I need to be able to swap from my sticks to mouse and keyboard quickly, but wife approval is unlikely on anything too expensive ($150 AUD max I reckon). Any suggestions?

Travel pram vs regular?

Hi everyone.

My wife and I are expecting and have begun researching prams. We're leaning heavily towards a travel pram due to the portability and lighter weight compared to a more traditional pram. A friend of mine who has three kids has told me that I should only consider a travel pram for when I actually have to travel, and has emphasised that they don't have enough space for everything that we'll need. I think we'll be a one and done family, whereas she has three kids, so I'm sure I won't need as much stuff as her.

I'm still figuring out what I'll need to carry when we're out and about, but surely it isn't that much? Is she right that travel prams aren't comparable to full size prams?

Replacing a worn rubber thumb grip on a Naga Pro?

The rubber grip pad on the side of my Naga Pro has worn down to the point where it's pretty much smooth. Have any of you tried replacing it? I can see there's grip tape out there you can adhere, but I imagine that I'd need to rip the current one out. Any suggestions on the best way to replace this so it doesn't look or perform like ass?

Had this issue with swapping apps since purchasing. UI 8.5 update has made it much worse. Any ideas on a fix?

S24 Ultra.

Tried GoodLock's Home Up and Navistar but neither have helped. I have no idea what else I could try. Any suggestions on how I can fix this?

Striking in two weeks. Which protest sign slogan would you choose?

I mark their work. They mark my face.

I came to inspire young minds. I left with a concussion.

One occupational violence incident every seven minutes. I'm not a punching bag.

Educator, mentor, punching bag.

Studied teaching, not self defence.

Hired to teach. Expected to bleed.

Safe schools start with safe teachers.

I believed in the power of education. Education believed in punching me.

I came to make a difference, not write an incident report.

Struggling to adapt to gladiator omnithrottle

Originally posted in the HOSAS sub but figured this would be a good place too.

I've recently set up dual VKB Gladiators for Elite Dangerous and I'm really struggling to adapt. I'm finding the OmniThrottle quite counterintuitive after coming from an X52 throttle, particularly for lateral and vertical translation compared to my old throttle and index HAT.

My main issues are constant vertical axis bleed I can't seem to eliminate (deadzones help but reduce my control), and difficulty making effective use of the horizontal axis at all (feels like too much to think about at the moment). Any tips for speeding up the learning curve? I'm quite motivated to make this work but it feels a bit insurmountable at the moment

Fdev discarded the official DW3 logo for their own version this time. Looks way worse, doesn't match the prior two, and doesn't apply right on a substantial number of paintjobs.

The battery and charging specs for the 17 Ultra state: "Supports QC3+ / QC3.0 / QC2.0 / PD3.0 / PD2.0 / 90W PPS".

I want to be sure that this means I don't need the official 120w charger that's recommended to achieve 90w charging. Are there specific voltages that the charger would need to output like Samsung's super fast charging 2.0 protocol?
