Current situation: I just turned 18 and I currently have around $12k saved and $2.5k invested into long term ETFs. I started to DCA into VOO $400 monthly. I started a casual job which gives me around $3k/mo working 3 days/week. I started my own business 6 mo/ago but it highkey failed because I wasn't solving a real enough problem (selling ai receptionists) and I don't have business skills. I managed to get a few clients but none payed. I've tried other online businesses and lost like 2k day trading. I can keep saving/investing 3k/mo. I'm currently studying finance for investment banking- 5 year degree but not sure if its worth the debt or not. I could save 50k from working in 1.5 years and invest half then use the other for a business. I just don't know what problem to solve. I know how to make apps/design websites and code. I know sales decently enough but I suck at marketing. I have no clue honestly what to do from here. Used to be an athlete did it for like 10 years but stopped to try make money. Feeling a bit stuck.

Any advice would be appreciated. What business would you start with 20-25k ish, what underrated problem to solve? Should I bang on further into the AI startup stuff? Just feels like Im throwing shit at the wall and nothing sticks. I understand you have to solve a painful problem and build a company around that and then for wealth, sell it for $1b equity. Everyone says tech is booming so solve a painful problem using tech and AI, but what problem??

What's the pathway to getting there?

I’m testing an idea and want honest feedback from people who actually do stonework. Just trying to work out if this is a real problem before building it.

The idea is an app for irregular stone cladding/walls/pillars.

Instead of guessing where each stone goes. You take a photo of your stones and then of your surface and the app tells you which stone goes where and measurements. It will give different design options with realistic pdf mockups. If you have clients you can show them design options before hand and they can pick which design they like best and from there you just select that design and it will show you exactly which rock and where to put it. It saves guesswork and time.

Example use case:
A narrow pillar/post face where you have 30–50 irregular stones and want to plan rows before installing.

Let me know if you would find this useful or if you have any feedback.

Does anyone else struggle with having 100 AI tabs open at once and you have to rexplain everything to each tool... chat gpt doesn't know what's going on in claude or open claw unless you screenshot and it's such a pain.

Do you face the same problem, what are the fixes?

as the title suggests, every time you vibe code something it always looks the same.

The square tiles, ugly designs and dark font on dark backgrounds. I've made a tool where you essentially de uglify your vibe coded designs. You push your site/code through the prompt and it deuglifies it and improves the UI.

Lmk if you would use something like this or if you'd like to see how it works. (I use it for my own projects too)
