Anyone else enter nursing school wanting to go straight into hospice? Why?

Ive worked over 10 years in assisted living and adult family homes and through my experiences working with hospice I know I want to be a hospice nurse.

I'm going into my 3rd quarter and while I dont feel like a social pariah I think im the only one in my program who wants to be a hospice nurse. I get the vibe from my instructors that its a bit abnormal. Once again, not necessarily judged for it, but that its a bit rare.

With the goal of feeling a bit less alone, does anyone else in this sub want to go straight into hospice? What during your life journey led you to this?

Anyone come out of Evil Dead Burn flabbergasted? *spoilers*

I cant recall the last time I've had such mixed feelings on a horror film.

The good:

Lots of very fun creative shots like:

- the mirror shot

- the top-down staircase fight with Thya (headrest deadite)

- the long one take with absolute chaos

- the bathroom shot where Alice gets dragged up the ceiling.

- the upside down shot when Alice is laying down outside with the house burning.

I also loved Deadite Thya. She embodied the sort of fun yet absolutely evil vibe I love in a deadite. All her shit talking about Joe, the tricking grandma out of the basement and even the little eyebrow raise she did prior to pulling the headset out was great.

Also lots of really great sequences. The car wreck scene, the long take, the dinner scene with the insane tension. Fantastic.

The bad:

Grandma being used for the same punchline 4 or 5 times. Shouldve stopped when she let Thya out the basement.

The constant cutting of tension. After the car wreck there's that odd bit where the dogs buried that kind of kills things. They keep doing this the whole movie. Worst was grandma going back down the lift after the alice murder attempt.

The fucking kiss scene

The rubbing Joe's face into Thyas stub of a face

Some extremely questionable decisions even for a horror movie

The dumb funeral home guy

The cgi for Will.

And the after credits was just so bad and cheesy im happy they're doing a prequel next. You mean to tell me Elle was cremated after the woodchipper? What did they scoop her up to cremate her? Then shes just back? Ugh. Worst type of fan service.

I really wanted to love this movie, and I loved about half of it. I feel theres a damn good movie in here with some editing and cutting scenes

I searched Google for the worst reviewed restaurants in Spokane. I found this review and absolutely insane response from the owner of Boomers classic bar and grill

Been looking off an on for 1) the episode with the crematorium advertisement with the ridiculously cheery stock music and 2) the episode with the guy whose passionate about selling shoes and its actually kind of wholesome
