Gas, less gas, and more flash
The Polonium made its way out for a run this week. The Tisha Ti and Recce Inconel are my go to 5.56 options at the moment.

I don’t shoot this 11.3” 5.56 as much as I should but I’m trying to change that
I’ll never shoot this again without a suppressor but at least the brake works.
This 10.5” 5.56 ran with an H4 and a spacer today. I didn’t get to run it without the suppressor but I doubt it will LRBHO or cycle with that much weight.
I got out to try the Comstock Armory’s compact muzzle brake with the Tisha. It’s not the best looking but it does sound good.
My first shots with the Tisha on a 10.3” 5.56 SA piston upper. I just installed a CA compact brake for my 10.5” 5.56 set up so we will see how the brake compares to the R2S.
The Tisha is my second titanium can behind the Ventum so I expected the sparks.
Unless I go with a Slash heavy buffer. This set up is easy to control even on longer strings of fire.
JRC buffer tube, KVP 10 oz buffer, 2 Kynshot spacers, Tubbs lightweight buffer spring.
My Prime drills started with a magazine fumble from IWB. I got a little smoother along the way.
I’m coming from carrying a G48 so the ambidextrous slide catch is causing some issues for me.
How hard of an install is an ignition kit and/or trigger for the 2011 platform? Are there any recommended videos besides EGW’s?
I swapped the main spring to 19lbs, the recoil spring to 9lbs, and added the Fusion Firearms steel magwell.
I couldn’t manage the Mcarbo kit upgrade for the sear cage on my CZ75 BD so that’s my baseline.
My $850 Ti Tisha from Double M Defense was just released from jail and I’ll shoot it next week.
I’m probably going to drop the PWS H4 in the 10.5” 5.56 to see if I can slow it down a little more.
I went to swap out the polymer magwell on the Girsan Witness Match X and I hit a snag.
I can’t seem to line up the holes enough to drive out the slave pin with the Fusion pin. Any ideas?
I hit over 1,500 rounds with the Prime and moved it into my EDC rotation.
Both my SS are functioning perfectly with a manageable ROF.
The 16” barrel is where the Klik sees the best results. IMO anything shorter yields diminishing results for sound suppression.
The Girsan is my first 2011 but second hammer fired offering, the first being a CZ75 BD.
I finally had some success with my suppressed set up and it’s running 8.1 oz in combined buffer weight.
I’m getting light strikes with the RB5000HP, a Kynshot spacer and a white carbine spring while suppressed with a FOR Systems Recce.
It would run while not suppressed but it was intermittent this trip.
I’m probably going to dial up the buffer weight until I can get it running suppressed….
And it is good.
Supers, suppressed supers, and suppressed subs.
This is the first time I have run the D50 with subs and the JRC buffer set up. It’s running 2 Kynshot spacers, KVP 10oz buffer, and Tubbs lightweight flat wire buffer spring.
After this trip my MP.22lr has over 25,000 rounds through it and the Titanium K is probably staying on this set up.
