lmao what do people think they’re gonna achieve by going to HR after violating a policy

at my site we have an issue with other departments cutting through the yellow safety chains in AFE to get to the main break room/clocks quicker(It’s only saves them 1 min btw lol), and my manager has been writing their badges down so if they do it again it’ll be a write up

and this goofy ass girl apparently refused to give her badge info and went to HR instead just for them to back up my manager anyway

shit like that is always funny to me because why on earth would they defend you when you went against policy, especially a safety policy 😂

has anybody tried Nature Remedy’s Lemon Skunk?

It’s been a while since I’ve had their house flower and was hoping someone could tell me if it’s worth getting or not

how much do yall have saved in your 401k?

I just checked and I’ve managed to save 5k since the beginning of 2025(I contribute 3% and usually work 50-60 hour weeks) and honestly I’m pretty proud of myself, I have an issue with overspending and not having money saved but that has made me feel better.

I have absolutely zero intentions on touching that until I’m older, it’s nice to know it’s there tho, that I’m not completely out of luck even if it’s not much right now.

Is it safe to feed my cats friskies chicken & tuna/salmon?

I know friskies isn’t the best but it’s what I can afford at the moment and I’ve been getting the meaty bits/filets and they enjoy those flavors

However I wanted to buy a variety pack box which includes the two flavors I listed in the title but I’m wondering if that’s okay and if maybe anybody else in this community feeds it their cats.

they should put the sinks on the outside of the bathrooms & write up people that don’t use them

they should put the sinks on the outside so they can see who does or doesn’t wash up b/c there’s too many foul mfs that don’t and they should be written up under the hygiene policy.

how easy is it to take a mental health LOA?

I’ve been dealing with depression/mental health issues since I was 9 and I’m now 31, it’s always been a rough battle but this last year or so has really taken a toll on both my physical and mental health because I’ve burned myself out working 60 hour weeks for 17 months straight. I force myself to go in b/c I have someone and animals that rely on me to keep a roof over their heads but I’m sinking here and I really need a break. I have about 58 hours of vacation time but I’m trying to save that to visit my parents and lil brother in Australia(whom I haven’t seen in over 7 years) and I’m wondering what my paid leave options are and how easy/difficult the process is?

Today confirmed that I’ll never be switching to day shift 😭

I usually work 6:30-5am FHN but decided to pick up a 7:30-6pm shift(ended up leaving at 3) and I think I may have died inside. I already picked up another day VET shift for next Friday but I won’t be going in any earlier than 11:30 lmao

being depressed/having mental health issues is expensive

I often order DoorDash or when I go grocery shopping I’m often buying premade meals because I don’t have the mental energy to go through the whole cooking/cleaning process, which has cost me a lot of money(I’ve spent over 10k on DD over the years).

On top of that I work 50-60 hour work weeks, overnight too, so I’m always exhausted from that as well.

It frustrates me to think about how much $ I’d probably have if I didn’t deal with mental health issues.

I just forced myself to make some fried rice(using microwaveable rice and veggies) instead of spending $40 on DD so I can make sure my rent is paid on time and I’m proud of myself for that but I wish it was easier for me to cook on a regular basis.

I miss my parents and little brother, it’s been 7.5 years since I’ve seen them last that’s depressing.

My parents and lil brother moved to Australia(from the US/Texas) in March 2019. I was suppose to go visit them Christmas of that year but I have an extreme fear of flying and the thought of having to fly for 27 hours was too much and then Covid hit, which made me regret my decision to stay even more.

The last time I saw them was when I dropped them off at the airport and I miss them terribly and it especially hurts when my mom reminds me that they have no intentions on coming back.

I grew up homeschooled so I was around them dang near 24/7 and to go from that to going years w/o them has been a lot to process and for the last year or so I have been this anxiety about how my parents are getting older and the average age that people tend to make it to and if I only get to them see every few years that I don’t have much time left with them and I don’t know how to change that other than moving there or finding a really well paying job that allows em to visit once a year.

Anybody else live far away from their family?

picked up day shift VET as a night shifter, wish me luck 💀

I usually work FHN 6:30-5 but VET has been going so quick at my site I said fuck it and picked up a morning shift 7:30-6

I already know I’m not staying the full shift(I feel kinda bad but they rarely drop partial shifts) but I’m gonna aim to go in at 7:30 and stay to at least until 12:30-1

last time I tried this I slept in by mistake and didn’t get their til 11 lmao

why post a full shift just to then reduce the hours 😐

Why post a full shift for July 4th if the site is going to be partial closed for night shift, instead of just dropping 11:59-5am shifts ? I picked that up because I needed the 10 hours and now it’s been reduced to 5 hours.

Now I have to go the hassle of positing the shift and hoping someone picks it up and then crossing my fingers that more VET gets posted.

I understand the hours for July 4th have been up for a few weeks now but due to the fact that a whole shift was dropped I was under the impression that those who picked up any shifts would come in at the time posted and clean/complete tasks until things are running again similar to maintained days, not that the building would be fully closed.

drivers; would yall be willing to pick some up from the grocery store?

I can not rely on grocery delivery, they either forget items, pick up out bad produce, etc etc so I figured I’d just start using Lyft/Uber but I’m curious to know if drivers would be bothered if someone ordered a ride and had groceries with them

$80 order and majority of it was missing 🤦🏽‍♀️

ordered 34 items, only received 14, and of course non of it was the stuff I actually needed

atp where I’m just gonna start taking a Lyft to the grocery store and do my own shopping, it’ll cost more but atleast it‘ll be there

“Why schedule SET if you’re just gonna send out VTO”

because it’s easier for them to be over staffed and send people home than it is to be understaffed and post shifts last minute.

flower selection in Metro Detroit sucks compared to other places

so many brands/strains I want to try and they’re all 40+ miles away(for example I really wanted to grab Ripe Herb’s last drop but the closest place is almost an hour away) I don’t have a car either and taking a Lyft/Uber often cost more than what im trying to get so seems pointless :(

is there a reason why brands don’t carry their products in this area?

best strains that don’t lead to feeling couch locked?

I work at Amazon and our prime sale is coming up, which means overtime, and I need something that’ll keep me alert and won’t have my body or eyes feeling heavy half way through my shift.

I’m in Metro Detroit(usually shop KOB Ferndale, NRC Ferndale, Cake House(Detroit and Pleasant Ridge) and have to stick to delivery unless it’s somewhere close by.

About to get worse

About to get worse: my store is apparently a test store for removing all deliveries from OGP at super centers and giving them to Spark, which resulted in a 50% deduction in picks, hours, and shifts. In OGP, people are having to work on the floor just to keep 35 hours, and people scheduled in OGP for the day are constantly pulled to other departments, all for cheaper labor without benefits that can't do the jobs without asking for assistance from us. I know 'union' is a strong word, but it seems pretty clear what's at play here.

The T1’s are what make me hate this place…

Management very rarely bothers me but omfg some of these T1’s make me wish I could b*ow my brains out in front of them. Between the walking like zombies on the green while staring at their phones, the need to watch loud ass videos while in the break room, nasty mfs leaving blood and piss on the toilet seats(I’m a woman btw), stealing your food, trying to talk when you’re clearly trying to work, lazy ass waterspiders making me do extra work(I’m also a waterspider) while they’re probably off circle jerking it with one another…I mean I can keep going.

I try my best to ignore it but it’s an everyday thing in here and as someone who is terrible at interviews and has high anxiety, I’m grateful that I got into this job as easily as I did but unfortunately that means that these people can also get employed here.
