With what just happened in Nepal, and all the other horrific things that seem to happen every day, I’m feeling really hopeless. I’m so scared about climate change. I’m scared to travel, I’m honestly scared to keep living because I don’t want to go through so much change (and terrifying events). I’m in therapy, but it just feels futile. I’m thinking about studying but it feels like there’s no point, and it feels like everyone is in denial. I want a simple future. I already accepted life would be different from how I wanted it to be because of my autism and health issues, but this is worse. I think of deleting social media, but then I won’t get updates. I don’t know how to cope with this
She’s a bit heavier now…
i haven’t read in a little while, i’m craving a book that’s hard to put down. maybe something emotional, i want to feel the way i did when i read sunburn + a language of limbs for the first time !
i’m so glad they didn’t use a wig
I’ve always wanted to get into pole dancing, but lately my depression has been bad & I feel like I need to find a way to move my body that’s fulfilling and fun. I’m 23, and I have chronic pain/chronic illness. My biggest concern is my POTS and my knees, they hyperextend/dislocate. I don’t faint, I only get presyncope. I was wondering if anyone else was in a similar boat and still able to dance?
When I was a teen I loved rollerskating (the pics are from 2019), I don’t even remember why I stopped. I’ve always had health issues, but i’ve been diagnosed with POTS now (I don’t faint, just presyncope) and also have knees that dislocate. They haven’t dislocated for years now, but that’s because I am anxious and avoidant. I’m 23 now and I miss skating and want to get back into it. Is anyone else in a similar boat and still able to? My depression has been bad, and I think moving in a fun way would be helpful but I am a bit worried about my knees
cute!
i’m insecure about plenty of things but i’ve always loved my nose 💌
I've been putting off replying to the people in my life for months and it's been weighing on me so heavily. It's gotten to the point where it's stopped me from doing other things because I just felt so guilty about it. The energy I was putting into feeling stressed about it took up all my capacity and all my spoons and I haven't been meeting any of my own needs. I just get stuck doomscrolling. It sounds so silly but it's true, does anyone else struggle with this? So many people don’t understand.
Anyway, It took me a couple of hours and I know it'll probably build up again soon but I finally responded to everyone last night & I’m proud of myself. I really wish staying in touch with people wasn't this difficult but i'll take the little win
She’s a little weirdo, I love her
some days i’m sad because i miss my long hair & then others i’m obsessed with it short. i’m also trying to grow out my dye (i’m naturally a dark blonde/light brown) 🤧 i haven’t had my natural hair colour since i was a child
Body doubling is the best, we are both autistic with (obviously) very different interests hehe🐇🚙
I've always liked Pinterest but lately I've realised I'm thinking about it and using it whenever I can. I love collecting, organising & curating things.
None of my family or friends are as passionate about it as I am and I'd love to meet people who feel the same. One of my favourite things is looking through other people's boards because it feels like a little glimpse into who they are.
I've been finding it hard to express myself through things like clothes for years because of burnout, sensory overwhelm and my health so it feels like a little world where I can still express myself and be creative.
Does anyone else relate?
I thought that by almost 11 years old we'd left the destructive puppy stage behind. Apparently not😅 Note to self: don't leave cardboard boxes unsupervised.
I just finished it in almost one sitting, I really wanted to love it however i’m starting to think YA just isn’t for me. I didn’t feel there was enough tension nor build up in the relationship dynamic, and it was quite cheesy & predictable. I love the premise, love the cover art, but it fell flat. What did you guys think?
Appreciation post for this sweet girl who will turn one soon. We got her a little while after my childhood cat ‘Charlie’ passed away. We miss her very much, but are grateful for the sweet (and crazy) Audrey. She’s such a pretty girl, I just had share some photos of her💕
what do you mean pride month is almost over…
