Turn every customer into your marketing team - The Strategy I used to help rescue my friends cafe

Three months ago, my friend came to me asking for my help to get his cafe some much-needed traffic. I looked at his website, which looked like it was built during the first few days of the internet. I was horrible. So, the first thing I did was rebuild it and create a backend that allowed him to edit and manage every bit of it from his own admin panel. Then, using my growth hacking background, I started building tools to help him turn every customer into his marketing team. Here's what I did that you can do as well:

  1. Video Reviews - We placed tabletop cards with a promotion... "Create and Post a Video Review of your meal for $5 Off Your Order". The QR Code brought up a simple app we built, which was just a landing page with some Social media API integrated to track posts and suggest Hashtags for the local area. When the video was posted, they would get a coupon code to show the waiter for the discount. It also prompted the customer to enter their name, email, and phone number to sign up for our rewards program, which also compliantly opted them into our list to remarket to.

  2. Give $5, Get $5 - We implemented another program where people could send a $5 e-gift card to a friend, and when it was redeemed, they would get $5 credited to their rewards account.

  3. Google and Yelp Review Prompt - On their website, we built a pop-up that asked people to leave a review for the Cafe. We didn't offer a reward or incentive, just asked them to leave one.

  4. Reward Program - The underlying engine behind our entire strategy was our rewards program. Every promotion we run feeds new members into our rewards program. We track customer visits, offer incentives for repeat visits, and can send out email and text blasts to fill empty seats with limited-time countdown offers that expire in two hours.

Since the launch of these systems, they have had over 2300 people join their rewards program, driven $100k in attributable sales from the program, and generated over 240 new reviews on Google and Yelp and over 230 social media review posts.

All of these tools were vibe-coded in just a few days and added to the site I built for them. With the advent of AI, it's easy to implement any of these ideas into your local restaurant and turn your customers into your marketing team for free!

Switching from Build Phase to Launch Phase as a solopreneur/vibecoder

I been developing and flipping internet companies since 2008 and there has never been a better time to be alive than now. AI has made my 18 years of experience launching startups the hard way into an accelerated launch every few weeks. When I finally got good enough to vibecode a platform from start to finish, every idea I've had for the last 18 years started getting developed. I just counted ,and over the last 9 months I've vibecoded 21 platforms.

The hardest part for me is to stop building and start launching platforms which I've transitioned to now. It's so hard to stay focused though and stop building platforms. I've probably spent 60k on AI credits but I've developed platforms that would have cost tens of millions to build traditionally.

I've even built out completely automated platform management tools for customer support and support tickets for bugs that pop up.

Anyone have any similar problems going from building products to actually launching them?

Building in-house apps and tools for clients

Over the last nine months I have been building some amazing tools and platforms to help my clients reach their marketing goals. Before I would need subscriptions to a dozen different platforms and services but now with AI it’s so easy and cheap to vibe code something that works and does the trick without needing expensive subscriptions.

I have found myself needing to utilize a third-party service, and now my impetus has changed from evaluating other platforms and tools to what it would cost to vibe code my own version of it.

No matter how complicated a service or tool I need is, I have found a way to create it myself, and have built a pretty wide ranges of internal tools now.

I want to get some ideas of ways that other agency owners are utilizing AI to bills tools for their own agencies or clients. What kind of tools are you building and what has the outcome of those tools done for your clients or business. I know I can’t be the only one doing this.

I’ve turned 20 of these tools into standalone SaaS products and have even generated quite a bit of revenue from them.

SaaS Platform for sale - Owner Financing Available - $2700 in revenue generated

I have a SaaS platform that i launched about 5 months ago. The platform de-annonymizes website traffic and get's them to opt-in to your email and SMS campaigns with pop-up banners that are 100% compliant. I'm able to unlock about 20% - 45% of our clients traffic and about 19% of those people opt-in. The people who dont opt-in we build retargeting lists and feed that audience back into Meta or other ad platforms. The platform also gives you a customer journey of everything each visitor did on your website so you can see what's working and not working on every page for conversion optimization.

I haven't ran a single ad, our platform has just grown word of mouth and me introducing it to people i feel needed it. Basically anyone with a website or who does marketing and drive people to a website need the platform.

When you send paid traffic to a website, you lose 97% of your websites traffic which remains annonymous. This platform allows you to run lower cost "Traffic" conversion goal ads with lower CMP's and unlock infinitely more leads than running lead form ads. I built the platform for that reason alone.

I have a lot of expeirence in Data Aggregation and ran a massive data brokerage so I understand how to de-annonymize IP addresses and figure out who the actual people are behind the IP. We use a frew third party data providers in a waterfall system to pull as much data from annonymous traffic as possible.

I've generated over $2700 in revenue from our current customers but the room to grow is massive. I am looking for someone with a decent sized marketing budget to take the platform over and grow it.

I've been launching over a dozen other platforms right now and don't have time to dedicate to it. I will continue to use the platform and funnel my own projects and marketing clients through it which will generate long term revenue. I am able to owner finance the purchase price of the platform, but you would need to understand conversion marketing and drive your own traffic to it.

Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks

SaaS Platform with $2100 in recurring monthly revenue with zero ad spend for sale

I've put up this platform, which unlocks the contact info of people on a website, including email and phone number and gets them opted in compliantly to email and sms campaigns. I'm looking to sell it as it's one of a dozen of platforms I've started over the last 6 months and just don't have time to put into it. My other platforms are doing much better, and I have to focus on those. This is a great business, a great business model, and would grow with some simple marketing.

I'm willing to owner-finance 100% of the asking price if you put some marketing dollars to work to make it grow. You can pay me for the platform from its proceeds, so if you know how to market and have an ad budget to work with, we can come up with a deal that works for us both. I built the platform to use it on my own websites, and it works amazingly well.

I'm not posting any info about it here publicly, but if you're interested, please get ahold of me, and we can discuss the details.

Developing and Flipping Internet Companies

In 2009, I started developing and flipping internet companies. I would take a concept, build a platform around it, have my team scale it, and then sell it to someone looking for a business to walk into and take over. We would spend between $20k and $50k to build the platform and get some decent traction, then sell it for $250K+ after about 9 months. I did this for about 5 years until 2014, when I started a Venture Capital firm and started investing in other people's startups.

With the advent of AI, I've been able to develop all of the platforms I've dreamt about for the last ten years, but didn't have the time or patience to build because of how long it takes to develop the really big ideas.

In the past three months, I've put together some amazing platforms that should scale fairly fast. My problem now is that I don't have the time to market all of them. I need a team like the one I put together in 2009.

That said, I wanted to create this post and see if people would be interested in helping scale some of the platforms I've created. This would be a true partnership, equity opportunity, revenue sharing and on more than one platform. A lot of what I've built so far is cross-promotable on the other platforms, so building one builds the others at the same time.

Most of the platforms I've built are in the Ad Tech/Marketing Tech space and address massive audiences with innovative software that helps overcome a lot of the common pain points in those industries.

What I'm Looking for

I'm looking for people with a proven track record of scaling startups from the ground up. Are experts in growth hacking and running paid marketing campaigns. I'm looking for someone who can take over the entire growth strategy for a platform and own the outcomes. When we have an exit, we will all make more money together and doing things alone.

I'm also looking to build teams of people working for equity to grow these startups. If you don't have all the skills right now, you can join us and I'll teach you what I've learned over the last 17 years.

About Me

I've launched dozens of startups, had some big exits and am a serial entrepreneur and Startup Mentor. I've ran a free startup mentorship program for the last 5 years that has helped over 850 Startup founders. Feel free to read through my post history and I think you'll see I'm an expert in marketing and startup growth.

I look forward to finding some great partners to work with!

How I turned my anonymous website traffic into 294 opted-in leads in 7 days

I've been buying traffic for years, and honestly, I've never seen ad performance as frustrating as it is today.

I'm in a niche where Meta advertising is expensive, and getting someone to actually complete a lead form has become incredibly difficult. I'd watch hundreds of people click my ads, spend time on my landing page, and then disappear forever.

For a while, I kept trying to fix the obvious things. New creatives. Better copy. Different offers. Shorter forms. Nothing really changed.

Then I had a different thought.

Instead of trying to convince more visitors to fill out a form, what if I could capture value from the people who never intended to fill one out in the first place?

So I built an internal automation that sits behind my landing pages.

When someone visits my site, the system checks whether they're identifiable through a series of consent-based identity providers and contact enrichment services. If there's a match and the visitor chooses to opt in through a simple consent banner, they're automatically added to my email and SMS campaigns without typing in their name, email address, or phone number.

That completely changed how I buy traffic.

Instead of optimizing for leads, I'm now optimizing for the cheapest possible Landing Page Views. I don't really care whether Meta thinks someone will submit a form anymore. I just want high-quality visitors on my website for the lowest possible CPM.

The results have been pretty eye-opening.

I'm paying roughly $0.37 per landing page visitor, and between 15% and 33% of those visitors end up being identified through the workflow. My effective cost per unlocked contact is under $2, which is dramatically lower than what I was paying through traditional lead generation campaigns.

The crazy part is realizing how much traffic most of us throw away.

If your landing page converts at 2%, that means 98 out of every 100 people you've already paid to attract simply disappear. We spend so much time trying to improve conversion rates by a fraction of a percent that we rarely stop to ask whether there's another way to engage the other 98%.

During my first week testing this approach, I unlocked contact information for 294 visitors who almost certainly would have remained anonymous otherwise. Those were people who read my offer, visited my site, and then would have vanished forever.

Now I'm curious...

Has anyone else shifted away from optimizing for form submissions and started optimizing for visitor identification or anonymous traffic activation instead? I'd love to hear if you've found other ways to get more value out of the traffic you're already paying for.

CMO/CTO Co-Founder Available with 18 Years of Experience

Hey There,

I've been a serial entrepreneur for the last 18 years with numerous exits, including Football Fanatics (Sold to Fanatics.com in 2011 for $277M). I was also the CMO for Qello Concerts and launched the app in 2014 and grew it to over 50M Downloads, 3M Subscribers, and $340M a year in revenue. We also became the #1 Music App in the Apple TV Store in just 3 months of launching.

I've owned marketing companies, Data Platforms, SaaS, CPG, Apparel Brands and everything in between. I currently own some other large platforms that I'm scaling now.

I have experience operating as both the CTO and CMO. Now with the advent of AI, I can launch platforms infinitely faster with more business logic, features, and security from day one. In most cases, I can launch an entire platform in just a few days. Not websites, actual SaaS platforms that are designed to scale, have bank-level security baked in, and optimized for conversions.

I'm a growth hacking expert and have written 7 books on the subject. If you're looking for someone who works fast, executes at a high level and has the background to secure a lot of funding, I'm your guy. I helped one of the founders of TikTok raise $100M from investors like Beyonce, Post Malone, and VC firms.

I also owned a Venture Capital firm that's now fully vested. I understand the Startup world from a very high level, and if you have a good idea, I can help you execute and get to market quickly with the best shot of scaling growth. I'm kinda bored at the moment and looking for something truly innovative with a large potential market.

If you have something interesting, let's talk!

My Lead Gen strategy that dropped my CPL from $75 to just $1.22

I run an insurance lead generation platform for life insurance agents, and for a long time I was using Meta lead form ads. Since insurance falls under a Special Ad Category, the results were rough. My CPMs were around $270, which meant very little traffic and even fewer leads. My cost per lead was through the roof.

So I decided to try something different.

I switched from lead form ads to Traffic campaigns optimized for Landing Page Views. I kept the exact same ad creative and sent people to my landing page instead.

The results? Even worse.

I got plenty of traffic... but zero form submissions. At that point, I honestly thought I was out of options. 😂

Then I came across a TikTok video talking about identity resolution software that can help identify a portion of your anonymous website traffic. From what I understand, it uses identity graphs and matching technology to connect some of your website visitors to real people. I don't fully understand the technical side of it, but it can reportedly identify anywhere from 15% to 40% of your traffic and provide information like names, email addresses, cities, and phone numbers.

The platform I tested adds a consent-based opt-in experience to your website through a pixel installed in your header. Visitors who choose to opt in can then be added to your email and SMS campaigns without having to complete a traditional lead form. The idea is to reduce the friction that causes so many visitors to abandon the process.

As soon as I implemented it, I started seeing results.

The software only charges when a contact is actually unlocked, and in my case the cost was about $0.10 per unlocked visitor.

Here are the numbers from my test campaign:

  • Meta traffic spend: $279.35
  • Landing page visitors: 755
  • Unlocked contacts: 249 (33% of visitors)
  • Cost to unlock contacts: $24.90
  • Opted-in contacts: 89

Results:

  • Total cost per unlocked contact: $1.22
  • Total cost per opted-in contact: $3.41

Compared to the lead form campaigns I had been running, this approach dramatically lowered my acquisition costs. Instead of paying premium CPMs and hoping people completed a form, I was able to get significantly more value from the traffic I was already buying.

I'm planning to test this strategy across some of my other campaigns as well. Has anyone else experimented with identity resolution or anonymous traffic activation? I'd be curious to hear what results you've seen.

Instead of buying software I needed, I just built it using AI

I launched an insurance marketplace platform a few weeks ago and wasn't having any luck generating leads from Meta using lead form ads. So, I thought I would send traffic to my website using "Website Traffic" as my conversion goal and then just deanonymize my traffic using a third party app. All the platforms that I could find didn't have exactly what I was looking for which is the ability to opt people into my email and text messaging lists compliantly. I couldn't even find a single app that would allow me to deanonymize the mobile phone number of my website traffic which would have been very restrictive. So, instead of buying a solution, I just created one with Perplexity. I've been in the DaaS space for a while so I just buy identify graph data from the big data platforms and plug it into my software to deanonymize my traffic. When they opt-in using my pop-up, I'm able to compliantly email them.

This brings me to the point of this post, when you need software or services from other providers, it might be worth just building it yourself. I still have to buy the data but it only costs me .03 cents to unlock anonymous website traffic that I'm paying Meta to send.

What kind of software or service do you need that you could just create now? AI is amazing. It's a total game changer for my platforms and has made me 100% able to develop my own platforms in days not years! Share your experience!

Meta Ads Growth Hack I'm using now that's killing it!

I run a lead gen platform for an industry where the ads are in a special ad category which sucks. I had tried every type of campaign type from lead form ads to traffic ads and wasn't getting even a single new lead generated no matter how much i spent on ads. So, necessity is the mother of all inventions so I put together a different strategy... I'll explain below:

Instead of using lead forms on Meta or my own website, I set up an account on a platform that deanonymizes website traffic. There are plenty you can choose from. Instead of running lead form ads (Which are way more expensive from a CPM standpoint), I run traffic campaigns to maximize the number of website visitors that i can deanonymize. The only useful contact info i get from the deanonymizing tool is the email, but there is another platform that can take an email address and append it with more contact info like first name, last name, mobile phone number, LinkedIn address, and more.

I added a custom integration i created with Perplexity that opts people in to me deanonymizing their IP address and opts them into being contacted by someone from my company. About 45% of my traffic opt's in. This allows me to generate infinitely more leads by running traffic campaign ads on Meta and compliantly being able to reach out to the leads once I enrich their data.

This has been a game changer for this platform and I'm planning on using the same integration for my other platforms. Hope this helps!

Does anyone use Insurance quoting Landing pages for customers?

When you have a new customer interested in getting a quote, do you use any kind of landing page that allows them to get quotes based on the carriers you're licensed with? Or do you just generate quotes and then send them options?

Does your IMO provide something to you like this? Just curious

What came off SpaceX starship this morning?

My daughter and I were driving home this morning and saw SpaceX starship flying over Jacksonville, Florida. It looks like a piece of it broke off and was falling to earth. Not sure if this was one of the stages breaking off or an unplanned rapid destruction event. What are your thoughts?
