Starting a food truck business with some partners

Ima gonna start a food truck business with some partners and when i asked to get an LLC, for inspection and other business related tasks, one of my partners straight on suggested he be the owner of the LLC and me and another one, be paid as employees. He said if one person LLC is easier to manage and 3 person LLC is a real pain due to needing an accountant and what not? Has anyone gone through the same process? What is required here and should I be concerned? Also if im paid out as employees, wouldnt it cost me more on taxes than the one who owns the LLC knowing we 3 are partners? Please give me insights?

Got a commissary trailer, finding a place to park it?

I have a commissary trailer and am finding places to park it at. It is not active at the moment but will be active later this year. For now, I just need to park it and take it out only for inspections etc. Also will need an electric line to it for refrigeration for over night. Place should be safe and secure as the generator is exposed without any cage to it. Please give me suggestions for places that can accommodate this at a price. Thank you.

Not getting PM hours when already hired for PM position

I was hired for PM position but my schedule is all over the place.. i get scheduled for 2 days atleast at 9am in the morning.. and 3 days in noon, evening and afternoon.. and every weekend my day changes.. like one weekend its sunday, another saturday and like on and on again! Is this everywhere for part timers? Because i would want to do something for myself in the morning but i cant with this schedule. My manager says its like this but i think i have some rights to a fixed schedule right? Even when i worked at Aldi as part time, they gave me fixed schedule for part time for closing.. this is ridiculous..

What kind of stupidity is this?

This is a real ad in Miami at Bayfront Park at the peak for pushing hyperscale AI data centers in rural communities over the objections of the people residing there because of the ecological dangers to the land. They tell us we must outpace China when they have less than 500 data centers while we are planning an additional 1500 more on top of over 4500 already operational, many of them hyperscale. Why such a frenzy and don't say China? What do they have planned for us and why does it seem the people in charge, right down to the local level seem to be facilitating this without our consent, like usual. And overwhelmingly surprised on the people who are even working for them, FOR.NOW!! They are easily replaceable as well. What is even going on? Till when can we just let it happen?

Starting anew and kinda lost

Hey y’all! So I started finding food trailers in Opelika, Alabama, where I am currently at and having a really hard time getting an appropriate size and build on the trucks. Facebook marketplace has been hell, because people promise one thing in the pictures but when you get there, the trailers sometimes dont have a roof lol. This happened to me when i drove to NC and found the trailer was a 2003 and not 16x8 as he said but rather 14x6 which is an odd size for a chef who is 6 feet tall. Anyhow, i need guidance on if only Facebook Marketplace is the place to search for old trailers as I am constrained on budget ($16k-$18k) inclusive of 6ft exhaust/hood, 1 wall galvanized or stainless steel, 2 fryers, 1 girdle, 1 AC, 50amp electrical and gas pipelines, fire suppression installed and 3 compartment sinks with 2 water tanks, and 1 large serving window. I want to start small but not get limited later and have 2 people working in parallel with no issues. Please suggest where to look, if I am good on budget, what is the trailer to look for to start on cash (not into financing as interest something i can work with), and any good advice for a complete beginner. Thank you so much!

Palantir on Farmers now

Control the food, control the people.

The USDA just signed a $300M deal with Palantir to centralize all farmer data.

That brings Palantir’s Government contracts to over $6Bn.

The company was named after the all-seeing “palantíri” stones in The Lord of the Rings by Palantir’s founder Peter Thiel as a deliberate reference to the ability to “gaze across vast distances to track friends and foes.”

The new system they are implementing is called “One Farmer, One File,” and it will combine USDA records into one digital profile for each farmer.

It arrives one day after a watchdog sued five agencies over Palantir surveillance systems.

Food system consolidation has historically operated through the physical: four firms controlling 85% of beef packing, just a few controlling 60% of seeds, a highly consolidated grocery market, etc..

But now this means unprecedented informational consolidation: farm payments, acreage reporting, program access, and support all run through one private platform.

Palantir’s use case is very specific: turning fragmented data into actionable surveillance.

They now effectively monopolize the data for the entire food system meaning everything from policy, subsidy, and compliance will flow through their data.

This is why local, decentralized food systems are so important.

When we buy from centralized supplies like Costco, Sams Club, Walmart, we lose choice.

And while we can’t control Governmental policy like this - we can support our local farmers and help fight for a more sovereign food system

Does this need total replacement or should be fixed?

So I recently started working at a tire shop, and because it has an offering of lifetime warranty and replacement for a “minimal” charge, they often earn more on replacing the tire for the most part. This customer had good tread on their tire, had a big nail stuck to it, but our technician said it needs replacement instead of a repair. Please have a look and let me know if this should have been repaired instead?
