Had a random thought about celebrities

When you talk about a celebrity you‘re talking about an imaginary person because we don’t actually know who they are as people.

When it comes to a woman sliding in your dms, how open are you to it?

So obviously online dating is a thing, but I know that when it comes to pursuing a stranger it's not always ideal for everyone. There's this really cute guy on instagram that I'm just super impressed by and I'm feeling tempted to ask him if he wants to talk or get to know each other. However, we have a few mutuals but we don't follow each other and yeah we just obviously know nothing about each other. I also have zero posts cause I hardly use instagram anyway but there isn't much for him to go on i guess except my profile pic, and that's my concern.

He also lives in another state. Like is it stupid to even ask? Is it unrealistic to expect a guy to be able to tell me if he wants to get to know me when we haven't interacted at all or reasonable? My main questions are as guy in this position, if a woman you didn't know just dmed you and said she was attracted to you and wanted to talk would it be weird to you or would you have no problem pursuing it if you're attracted to her? Personally when it comes to strangers online I'm not super inclined to pursue things unless I feel a strong attraction initially just based off of the little I know. Which isn't often.

Is this emoji 🥰 for flirting?

There’s a girl who called me hot and I appreciate it but I don’t know her too well and I’m not really looking for anything romantically right now. I was gonna say “Thank you🥰🥰” but a friend said those emojis are flirty? Is it alright in this context?

The world feels so dystopian right now

Idk, I think I’m becoming too online. After falling down rabbit holes of content about Taylor Swifts Wedding, Alex Meyers and Obsession, AI, etc….its just wild. We live in such a freaky dystopian society it scares me and it’s getting worse. AI is so fucking creepy. I can’t scroll more than two seconds on instagram without seeing some dumb AI ads. Idk, it’s more than just these subjects but it’s where my brain went after thinking about them specifically. Idk, the future doesn’t seem so bright. Also capitalism. Money, greed, GLP 1 ads and scary thinness coming back, It’s all so tiring. Our society is continually becoming the exaggerated version of itself that’s depicted in movies and literature and no one seems to be batting an eye.

Is it wrong of me to admit I'm attracted to this girl?

So this cute girl had dmed me on instagram and just started chatting with me. Asking me friendly questions and we talked for just a few days. We had mutuals and I'd seen her in some of my friends posts. After those few days she flirted with me and called me cute and I said the same to her. A few more days passed and we didn't talk but then she hit me up and asked if I was interested in talking more and getting to know each other.

However I had a date planned that weekend and it felt wrong to pursue that while starting something else. So I told her I'd be happy to talk as friends but explained the situation. She said it was all good and told me that since she wasn't interested in getting to know each other as friends she didn't want to pretend, but she appreciated the honesty and understood. But I was attracted and would have been interested if it weren't for this date, is it wrong to text her back and follow up that I would be really interested if it weren't for this?

Just incase it wasn't obvious? Or should I leave it be? Is it shitty the other person i'm pursuing rn if I just mention it so she knows how I really felt. I want to focus on this date but I’d just like to make it clear I would have been interested for her sake, so she doesn’t think it was about that.

How would you politely reject this flirt from someone?

If I told a girl I worked in retail and she responded with "Seems like all the cute guys end up working in retail :)" she's obviously flirting with me right? How would you respond if you weren't interested? She dmed and we chatted just friendlys stuff for a couple days, she also doesn't live too close, so even though I kind of think she's cute I don't think anything could come of this.

Did this guy gently reject me or was he actually flirting back?

I started dming this guy I thought was really cute on instagram. We’d been chatting for about 2 days, nothing super intense just friendly conversation. He told me he works in software so I decided id shoot my shot and flirt with him. But after I called him cute he just said that. I said haha and it’s been two days and he hasn’t said anything else.

Now i’m thinking maybe he said what he did as a way of being like “You’re cute but too far” and so he’s not interested in talking anymore. He’s in San Diego while I’m in SF. I know I could’ve said more than haha but i’d been initiating most of the convo and just figured he’d say something else after flirting. Thoughts? Was what he said a way of gently rejecting me? Worth saying something else or just let it be?

Should I take his response as a light rejection or him flirting back?

I told this guy I’d been chatting with on instagram for couple days I thought he was cute. He told me he worked in software so I said “Seems like all the cute guys end up working in software” and he goes “😳, Alas seems like all the cute vegan girls end up on the coast.” He lives in San Diego while I’m in SF. At first I thought he was just flirting but now realize he might’ve just been saying I’m cute but too far to keep talking to?. Is that how you would take it also?

Best way to DM a guy you’re interested in?

So there’s this guy I think is cute. We have some mutuals, I saw him on this dating app and liked him but never got a like back. I assume he didn’t see it only because the app has so many old profiles and it’s niche and even I deleted it after a week.

I followed him on insta and shortly after he followed back. I think he’s really cute and I’m tempted to DM him but don’t want to be weird. What’s a good way to message him? And is it too soon? Should I like reply to a story or something more lowkey? 21 btw.

I want to DM this guy but not sure if it's too soon, what's the best way to do it?

So, there's this guy I find really cute. I'm 21 btw. He's around my age I assume. I saw him on instagram in photos with other friends and thought he looked really hot. Then I came across him on a dating app and sent a like. I don't know if he ever saw because he didn't like me back but also the app is really niche, there's tons of old profiles and fake ones too. That was a little while ago and I've since deleted the app.

I came across his profile on instagram and followed him. We have a few mutuals. Shortly after he followed back. I'm tempted to DM him but don't know if it's too soon, and if I do, guys what's the best way I could do it or what should I say? I don't want to come off as creepy or weird since he's a stranger. Is a DM right away too soon?

At 36, would you go out with a 21 year old?

So, I met this guy I was really attracted to at this thing a long while ago. We just briefly talked, and I was really cold and he gave me his jacket at the event. I just thought he seemed cool. I downloaded this dating app and saw him on there and gave him a like. He’s 36, I’m 21. I don’t know if it was stupid of me to think he’d consider a 21 year old or not. Was it? Although we met once I really liked his profile and he seems similar to me and he’s just my type. He does want a serious long term relationship and kids. I honestly do too.

What’s your go-to hangover meal?

What food just instantly makes you feel better when hungover? I gravitate towards breakfast burritos. Is there a food that for you just hits the spot perfectly when you feel like shit after drinking?

What’s better for anxiety? Getting high or drunk?

I have an important phone call I’m nervous about. It’s with a friend but it’s complicated and I’m dreading it. Am I better off getting high on thc beforehand or drunk? And why? I already had 200mg of CBD but still nervous. Lol
