Dude, could you imagine a ‘80s style Warframe show?

Dude, could you imagine a ‘80s style Warframe show?

The Tenno are an ancient caste of warriors. Guided by the enigmatic Lotus and the honorable Master Teshin, the Tenno use the mystical power of the Warframe to protect the Origin system from Wallie, the Lord of Indifference, Neff Archon of Greed and “Do not breathe his air” Vey Heck! I would watch the fuck out of that.

Fellow veteran did the right thing at the right time

I had an experience that has stuck with me for months now, and wanted to share. I was parking at the veterans parking at the local supermarket, and this old leathery dude started approaching me. I am brown skinned and he looked like those crusty old magas you see making performative videos on r/iamverybadass, and therefore was half expecting a confrontation. Anyway he asked me where I served, I replied, and without breaking his stride, he gives me a big hug and says “thank you for your service brother”. I broke the fuck down in this man’s arms. Life has been HARD lately. Alongside the country I love being turned into an authoritarian theocracy, I have been partially paralyzed, I am fighting cancer, my ac unit needed to be replaced, etc. Life was kicking me in the balls and this man’s actions broke the dam I didn’t realize I was holding back. He just held me (I am assuming awkwardly) until I was able to regain composure and embarrassingly apologize profusely, to which he replied “anytime man”.

So many of us are struggling and you never know the effect a kind gesture might have on someone. Now while I wouldn’t suggest doing what he did, as that was kind of crazy, I was inspired to check in on some friends I just “never had time to” before. Take care of each other out there.

Once the hackers had infiltrated every automaker’s servers, they sent three commands before taking them offline.

Shift to park, lock doors and turn heaters to max.

[spoiler] I get now part of the rush to get Constellations out

I finally got time to play through the main story, and it struck me how the three protagonists were fathers. Hunhow, in his bitterness and unwillingness to let go of the past failed his two children, and had both betray him, while Umbra was forced to kill his own child by Ballas. It’s too late for either of them, but not the Stalker. Someone high up probably latched on to this and wanted to get the update out before Father’s Day, hell or high water. I am of mixed feelings about this. On one hand, they should not release content that they knew had bugs, but on the other hand every piece of content they have launched has had a bunch of bugs. I am enjoying the content they released and am confident they will squash the bugs eventually, but could any other company besides DE get away with consistently releasing such buggy content. Maybe Bethesda?

Now DE just needs to flesh out this mysterious future and the characters from it, and not just move on to the next shiny…

Edit: my first reward! Thank you kind sir / ma’am.

Introducing Colonel Trilogy Fuzzybut PHD

Horribly injured as a kitten, resulting in the loss of one of his legs, Trill did not let that slow him down, earning a PHD in biteoligy. He earned his commission and served with great distinction during the Great Spider Cricket war of 2008 eventually rising to the rank of Colonel. Now retired, he spends his days lounging, whipping the youngins into shape and generally being a furry menace.

“You can’t kill a god.”

A: “But your agency advertises the neutralization of spiritual entities, including and up to deities.”

H: “Yes neutralization.”

 ”…”

“You can’t kill a god, but you can neutralize them, either eliminating them or recreating them. Gods, are the spiritual embodiment of a concept created and empowered by the worship of sentient beings.”

“That makes no sense, the Barlast have scientific proof they were created by their god”

“Once a god is created it has always existed. Every sentient being emits some psychic energy. Some more then others, and the Barlast are both extremely powerful psychics and an extremely religious society, therefore their god of life is extremely powerful.”

“Ok we are getting off track. We need a god eliminated, can your group do it?”

“Yes”

“How”

“By going after a god’s followers. The easiest way is to kill them all. However, this is rarely done anymore, due to the ethical and practical implications. For your raider problems, start talking about the God of Mercy around them, and then when we tell you to, let them go in her name.”

“Why would..”

“Please don't interrupt. We will assassinate the Archons of the Cult of Goregar the Grim, many of whom are their best and most accomplished military leaders. We will then install agents to preach for the God of Mercy. Then we will have you release the prisoners, shortly after, you will start your next offensive. We will help you win the fights against Goregar leaders, but you will throw the ones against the Mercy leaders. The Judan are proudly marshal, and a particularly psychic people. It will not be long before Goregar weakens and fades and Mercy manifests itself.”

“How can you be so sure?”

“The cult of mercy already exists among them, but it is seen as weak. We aim to change that. Do we have a deal? Excellent, John will discus payment.”

Tell me it’s way too hot, without telling me it’s too hot.

Poor guy chugged a bunch of water from a bowl we leave out, then started melting.

What would happen if you could disrupt the strong and weak forces for a second?

Hello All. I am writing a sci fi / fantasy story, and have been trying to come up with a (somewhat) feasible galaxy destroying super weapon. From my limited understanding, the weak force governs radiation, fusion and fission, and the strong force helps hold everything together. If you could somehow turn those off for a second on a galactic scale, would that do it? If not is there a reasonable amount of time without them that would do the job, and what would it theoretically look like? Like would everything disappear into a cloud of dust, or would everything just fall apart? If not the strong and weak forces, what law of physics, if any, could be “blipped” to cause that level of destruction?

Not looking for 100% hard science here, just don’t want to sound like I am completely talking out of my ass. Thank you in advance for your help!

Behold the almighty Rainbow, drama queen, and generally sweet cat… with one major personality quirk.

If you have two legs, you’re golden, if you have three, she starts getting twitchy. Anything with four legs risks getting slapped just for entering her airspace, and at six or more it’s on sight. I once saw her go after a house centipede, and the war crimes committed would have made a Canadian proud.
