Netflix has been digging its own grave for a while now

I think they secretly always knew their model was unsustainable and they have been trying to milk it as much as they can these last few years. My only advice is not to get too attached to any Netflix show, they are a tech company

Netflix keeps producing second-season bombs because it's a tech company

“And tech companies know how to build wonders, but not entertainment.”

Personally I gave up on Netflix a while ago, when I noticed they just really did not have a long term strategy anymore. It’s all about juicing a show for its novelty and then canceling them or making terrible second seasons.

OPINION: inZOI should stop slow dripping small updates and focus on making updates that feel more significant

Personally, when I hear that a game has an update, I expect it to introduce a significant amount of changes, enough that it can be considered a new “version.” I think Stardew Valley does this excellently, a new update means there’s enough new content to drop at least a few more hours into it.

I get frustrated with inZOI announcing so many updates, and so many of them coming with long explanations saying that they’re working hard on making more. I wish they would just focus on fleshing out the game and making use of the hype that a new update usually builds.

While the June update seems like a step in the right direction, in spite of how unprofessional it seemed to delay it by one day at the last minute, I think they need to do more.

How important is music and sound design in a life sim and which ones do it best?

Something I really love about The Sims series is how many sounds there are in these little worlds, and how well the music ties it all together. Paralives has also done a fantastic job of capturing a cozy vibe with sound that feels like ASMR at times. Which games do you think do it best and how important is sound to you in particular?

Just how many people are actually waiting on a Wicked Whims kind of mod before they try inZOI and Paralives?

Whenever I see posts about inZOI and Paralives on TikTok and Instagram, there’s always comments saying that the only thing they’re missing is Wicked Whims or that they’ll wait for Wicked Whims to drop for the new games.

This makes me wonder, just how many people are actually waiting on this? Would the release of this kind of mod really attract a new wave of players, or are people only joking?

What can life sims learn from each other?

Just for fun: what features/mechanics/characteristics from one of these games would you like to see in others?

Paralives has done the one exact thing I was begging life sims for

Life simmers have been chronically bored for years—so much so that asking "how do you keep Sims 4 interesting tor yourself?" is a bit of a cliché. My theory is that life sims need to be harder, or at the very least get back in touch with the strategy roots that made The Sims so enticing way back when. I truly thought I was just yelling at clouds, and yet Paralives has just launched into early access and it is, in fact, doing the exact thing I was begging life sims for.

How do you plan on spending the last 3 days before Paralives’ launch?

As for me, I’m going keep watching all the videos on it I can and also keep telling my friends about it. How about you?
