Matching Promotion

Kinda disappointed, well I guess it was on me that I did not read that the transfer needs to be registered to qualify. I transferred a bunch of stuff hoping it will get the match.

Messaged customer support and even with the premium thing they say when you reach an amount, they are saying no way to match it.

Just seems a simple fix if they want to do it.

Anyway end of rant. Very disappointed.

Getting the passport hitd harder than getting the citizenship

Ewan ko din, pero parang mas kinilig ako nung nakuha ko passport ko kesa nung natapos yung Canadian citizenship ceremony namin.

Pero baka stressed lang ako that time hahaha.

Anyway sa mga nag pa dual sa Canada how hard/easy is it to do?

With all these trades shenanigans I miss Game of Zones

Crazy off season to say the least. However the amount of content that Game of Zone could have work with is definitely gonna be wild.

This PG and Brown trade, Giannis, and Lebron.

Wonder if there is any chance it comes back with House of Dragon airing right now.

Revisiting goals and plans and how to execute them with wifey

Bilang mga Tito and Tita. Me and my wife listed our goals sa buhay and how to reach it while drinking wine hahaha.

We do know our goals. Pero it felt good just writing it down and revisiting everything. Lahat from baby#2 , when to retire, health and death of parents.

Just nice that we have broken down what we need to achieve short term and long term para maayos ang pag pasok and labas pera.

ELI5 how does buying a share of stock or ETF make you money?

Just started investing recently. The one I cant wrap my head around even after watching some financial videos is how do you make money buying stocks?

Lets say I bought a stock right now for $50 per share, then tomorrow it goes down to $45, then goes up to $52 on the third day and so on for 30 years.

Like how does it grow long term? Or it just grows as the price of the shares go up?

Me and my son's pancake tower!

Just wanna share this pancake tower we made. It took an hour or so to make it, from the mixing to cooking. So much mess was made.

Taught him how to be mindful and be more efficient, taught me how to chill and breathe and it's just mess, we can take care of it later.

We got some imperfect pancakes, but we have a perfect moment.

Also, taste so much better too when we finished all of it cause we are so hungry.

Anyway, just sharing our moment

Time to move money and use it from Scotiabank to Wealthsimple wait time has increased by a lot

So basically I bank with Scotiabank, used to be I just hit transfer from my bank to invest in Wealthsimple and I can use the money in a day or less.

Now, when I move money, it takes almost 5 business days to transfer an amount and invest it.

Not sure if my wife opening an account with wealth simple and moving investment accounts from Scotia to it and also opening a joint account on wealthsimple has something to do with it?

Just frustrating that I cant invest right away. Also disappointed with the customer service as the agent on the chat after dealing with the AI is pretty much saying the same thing with the AI and not understanding the situation. Now I am stuck waiting for someone to talk to me through email and all the while I cant invest our money which I was able to do without any issues before.

If this was an issue with the bank flagging all the transfer and not allowing us to do it, I will have no issues, it just sucks that Wealthsimple cant provide an answer to a very simple question.

Trying to get into underwriting

I have a level 1 License here in BC. Works in a local broker for almost 3 years. The work is pretty chill. However, I am kinda disappointed that I have not been given a chance to take another step to getting my Level 2 License because the office is really small.

I am kinda interested in underwriting, especially a career with ICBC. What route should I do, like what courses should I be taking or do I need to go back to school for this route?

I have been trying to google stuff and from my understanding it's CIP that I need to do?

Thanks any answer will be appreciated.

Im a short guy probably 5 flat.

Growing up, I have encountered everything, the highs and the lows (no pun intended of a short guy).

I have accepted it and has thrived. Never had it as as in issue to be in a relationshp, nor it has been an issue with other aspect of my life.

However, yesterday, naranasan ko ang inadequacy ko when it comes to height.

I went to the grocery store and naka sale yung pringles na if you buy 2 it will be cheaper. Favorite ko talaga ang Sour cram na flavor, pero pucha isa lang yung abot ko, yung the rest nasa 3rd shelf sila and nakapasok. So, ang ending ang nabili ko ay sour cream at isang cheese.

Ive never been defeated as a short king. Anyway, feed your kids and dont let them eat pancit canton as a staple food growing up.
