India's exports hit $43.7B in April 2026 — are smaller exporters actually seeing more orders, or is the growth mostly at the top?

Official trade data shows India's exports grew 13.4% YoY to $43.7B in April 2026. Most of the growth seems concentrated in petroleum, telecom, and pharma. Curious if merchant exporters and smaller businesses here are actually feeling any difference — more inquiries, better pricing, new buyers? Or is the headline number not translating to ground reality for most of us?

Which CRM do you use to manage your exports business? Do not share links!

To operate international trade business, where sales, marketing, quotes and tracking of goods and services is needed, a CRM solution can come handy. Does your business use any sort of solution for the same?

We started using the free HubSpot account recently.

Just got started with wet shaving!

Hello everyone. I started wet shaving from March 2026 and loving the learning and progress.

Got Mach 3 as a first choice of razor, got Park Avenue kit, love the smell, foaming and quality of the same.

Some learnings:

  • Use warm water to clean the razor blades and shaving brush.
  • Staying calm can save you from cuts.
  • Mach 3 is somewhat better than single blade razors, at par with 5 blade razors.
  • Wet shaving can become an expensive hobby.

Did not use warm water for shaving for a couple of times and ended up feeling itchy all day long at the office. A colleague suggested the trick.

Let me know if there are other tricks I should know.

Why is it so hard to get serious buyers when starting out in exports?

Ive been trying to break into exporting hotel uniforms for a few months now and Im honestly a bit stuck on what actually works in real life.

Most of my early attempts were through online listings and while I did get a few inquiries, they mostly faded after pricing or sample discussions.

I also tried reaching out directly through emails and a couple of trade groups, but it still feels like I’m just guessing and not really building anything consistent

What’s confusing me is that some people make it sound straightforward. Although my experience has been more like random conversations that don’t turn into actual orders

Rn I’m trying to figure out what channels actually matter for this niche and whether I should be focusing more on trade fairs, referrals, or something else entirely. Samajh nahi aa raha ki exactly kaunsa approach actually kaam karta hai aur kaunsa bas time waste hai

For those who have already gone through this stage, what actually helped you get your first solid international buyer? and also what would you avoid doing again if you started over?
