CastKeeper just dropped the 4.1 update and added Dropbox support for saving podcasts to your own Dropbox folder.

Also, it now supports a full App Clip experience when sharing podcasts with others who have an iOS device and allows them to fully listen to the episode in a small version of the app, and even get the Smart Summaries. Pretty neat implementation of App Clips.

I just looked at this new iOS app, CastKeeper, that uses all on-device AI with Apple Intelligence to not only listen and watch podcasts, but also save them to your own private storage.

Apple Intelligence is used to:

- Create AI generated chapters when there are none
- Do all on device transcription and translation. No cloud no tokens.
- Create episode summaries and identify sponsors and sponsor codes, or call out dynamic ad insertions.
- Make “Smart Collections” to find all topics in my library.
