Canadians who moved to US for the big money, how is it going and was it worth it?
Some Canadians are moving to the United States, and I'm curious to hear from those who made the move for higher salaries and career opportunities. How has it worked out for you?
Do you think jinger & Jeremy homeschool their kids?
I don’t know if this is the right flare
Maddie Ziegler’s recent fillers
She needs to get them dissolved ASAP. It does not look good.
Were Caroline Kennedy and Carolyn Bessette close?
What was their relationship like? I’ve read that she was very protective of her brother. Does anyone know what books or other sources have said about their relationship?
Can DJ Wagner still make it to the NBA?
What do y’all think? He was #1 in his high school 2023 class, so he was hyped up coming into college as he was projected to go top 10. Then he fell off completely and hasn’t been playing well ever since.
Is he an overseas guy?
Medical racism is a well-documented fact supported by extensive data - Officer Tatum is ignorant and uneducated
His whole argument was “I’ve never heard of that”
There’s a book called ‘Medical Apartheid’ that covers the history of abusive medical experimentation on African Americans from the colonial era to the present day. It’s a good read. There are studies on this.
Can we be a little honest? (no hate)
l made a comment a while ago saying that I think Carolyn really wanted John F. Kennedy Jr. because of who he was, he was rich, famous, a Kennedy, and came from generational wealth and power, but I got downvoted to hell for it and told that there's no way she wanted him because of the money/status because she also had money and status herself. So..
Is it really that far-fetched to say his status was a major factor? Like, sure she made her own money and I guess was known in fashion circles, but nowhere near as big as him him. I mean, this was JFK jr.. Practically every girl wanted to be with him. So why do people act like Carolyn was an exception? I'm not saying she sat in a room with a master plan strictly calculating every move, but come on.
Is it crazy to acknowledge that she wanted him because of the whole package, the wealth, the name, and the fact that people literally viewed him as a future president? I'm sure that looked well.
Especially with stories from her college days about wanting to end up with someone wealthy, or just looking at the overall culture where women in high-society circles were very aware of status, positioning, and making the right moves.
Even looking at how messy things were with the Dary!
Hannah overlap, Carolyn stuck through that and didn't just walk away. That doesn't mean she didn't love him, but isn't it just realistic to admit that status, wealth, and hypergamy play a huge role in dynamics like this? Why do we have to act like his prestige had zero influence on her wanting to be with him? Looool. Please don't hate me
Pastors who protect abusers…
Why? Just why? Having attended my fair share of churches, I’ve noticed a pattern. Time and again, when a woman leave or tries to leave a physically abusive husband, church leaders end up blaming them even when they’re not at fault. I’ve personally witnessed situations where men were actively abusing their wives, and the whole church knew it by the way, yet pastors urged the women to stay because 'divorce isn't an option', even when their lives were directly at risk. They are blamed and called bad women for protecting themselves and leaving a life-threatening situation. I personally know someone who was terrified for her life. She explicitly said that if she stayed, he was going to kill her. She left with her kids. Yet instead of protecting her, the leadership turned around and blamed her. And the worst part is, they never held the brother responsible. They never held him accountable, nor did they ever even acknowledge what he did. I know this because I’ve heard phone calls. I’ve seen this exact same pattern play out in multiple churches. One of the women actually had to go back because they basically forced her and I don’t know how she ended up.
Why did Carolyn dye her hair blonde? I don’t get it.
I’ve been looking back at photos of Carolyn before and around the time she met John, and she had naturally brownish hair for years and it was even a more medium blonde for a while when she was with John before they got married. But then she bleached it a, bright blonde.
I don’t know, I guess as someone who didn’t grow up in America, I’m genuinely trying to understand the cultural obsession behind this. I have friends over here who aren't natural blondes either, and they keep bleaching their hair over and over, even when, honestly, the harsh bleach doesn't really suit them or do their hair any favors!
Was the '90s in the US just completely consumed by bright blonde hair as an aesthetic status symbol or trend??
I feel like that the blonde was a bit harsh on her features and didn't suit her as well as her natural brownish hair did, but she clearly stuck with it once her profile blew up.
Irina Shayk allegedly dating Kendall Jenner’s ex Devin Booker
Page six reported on this too.
According to the source, the two were introduced by mutual friends a few months ago and are trying to spend a lot of time together this summer before he has to start training for the season. “Expect to see Irina at some of his games,” the source added. “She is very into him.” On Sunday, Deuxmoi posted a picture of Booker from the back exiting Tutto Caffé in East Hampton, New York, and reported that several sources saw him and Shayk together in the Hamptons.
