A trope I've never heard of - how do you do it well?

I've just discovered a trope: "both v****ns." And it so happens that the story I'm just starting to work on fits that trope. I've been puzzling over how to make the spicy scenes I have planned... spicy, because of this. In the past my characters, male and female, are always experienced. My MMCs are often the initiators, too, with varying levels of assertiveness. For this story, though, I wanted the romance to really kind of sneak up on both characters. It's a forbidden romance, and their both being completely inexperienced is a big part of the reason why they don't see their attraction coming. Anyway, has anyone ever written this trope? Or read it, and thought it was done really well? I'd love some insight.

I edited and reposted this since my original post triggered Reddit's censors.

Tropes you love the most

Someone recently asked what tropes make you dnf a book, and it made me curious about the opposite. What are your favorite tropes you can't get enough of?

I love forbidden romances where the yearning is off the charts and every touch is accidental and smoldering.

Considering meds, but worried about required first step

Hi everyone. I'm just now starting to learn about glp-1 meds. I live in France. I'm in perimenopause and while I have always carried more than average weight, for the last year it's been getting away from me. My knees are starting to hurt and I'm worried about my health. I realized years ago, though, that counting calories, dieting, and tracking my weight were a fast way for me to end up in a bad place mentally.

I just did a little research on glps in France and I gather you have to do a six month diet and exercise plan before you can qualify for a prescription. This is probably a deal breaker for me. I'll still talk to my doctor about it but from what I read it sounds like a hard and fast rule.

I was wondering if anyone here had to go through the same thing?

I'm feeling pretty upset because on the one hand, reading about glps gave me this sudden hope that maybe I can stop this health issue from worsening, but then learning that I might have to go through six months of dieting and weighing... I don't know if I can do it.

My mom found this skull years ago. She lives in Burgundy, France.

The AI we used says wild boar but when we compare it to other wild boar skulls she's found it has differences, especially the craters under the eye sockets. It's also very big for a boar (37cm long). I'll post a photo of it next to a boar skull (boar skull indicated by blue line).

Classics that make good high school plays

I'm starting a new teaching job in the fall. I'll be working with the equivalent of sophomores (10th graders) as an English teacher in a French lycée that specializes in theater. I used to be a theater teacher about a hundred years ago and more recently I've already used bits of plays in English lessons as a long term substitute, so I'm pretty enthusiastic about this. I'm not sure yet whether I'll be able to do a full play with my students, but I hope so. Right now I'm just trying to think of what play I might do.

In the past I've done Dracula, but I realized I'll probably run into problems with it because laicity (keeping religion separate from schools) can be pretty strict here, and there's no removing blatant Christian beliefs from Dracula. It's possible it would be allowed but I'd just rather avoid anything tricky like that as a new teacher. So I started thinking about what other classics might have good adaptations, particularly for teenagers. I have already found Pride and Prejudice, which I love, and depending on how many female and male actors I have, it could work. Then I thought it might be fun to brainstorm this a bit here, with you classic literature lovers. Ideally the play would allow for a lot of characters. My main hesitation with P&P is that it has a lot of female characters but not as many male characters, which is not surprising given the story.

What classics do you think would make good adaptations?

Need to find a therapist who knows about AFRID [21]

My ten year old has almost always had trouble with eating. He meets the criteria for AFRID. We've had him in group and individual therapy with the local CMP for two years and while that has been beneficial in other aspects I don't think it's touching the AFRID. I don't know if therapists in France are ever specialized for children with it. Anyone have experience with a good therapist? I don't know how to locate a therapist who works with people with eating disorders in children. I'm in Bourgogne.

My unicorns are killing my elves.

Apparently unicorns are carnivorous and destructive? This is news ot me. I saw somewhere that I can edit traits in a species. Can I edit my unicorns to make them peaceful leaf eaters? If so, how? Will I have to edit every unicorn separately or will it change the traits of all of the unicorns at once? I figure my alternative is to change the world rules to make creatures never get hungry and be peaceful, but I'd rather just change the unicorns.

Short scene with a kid wielding a sling

Pretty sure it's a movie from the 80s or early 90s, Indiana Jones maybe? There's a kid who looks like he's playing and then when a character starts to run? I'm not sure--his expression gets all serious and he swings the sling around harder, then releases it and it knocks down the character.

Wanna help me figure out what console to get my kid?

My son's bday is coming up. He says all he wants is one thing, a laptop, tablet or gaming console. Currently we have an aging switch which the three kids have to share. The other two boys also have laptops, although both are also aging and often can't handle much in terms of gaming. The bday boy is the youngest and so hasn't gotten his own anything yet. We're not rich by any stretch and spending 500 euros is not possible. We can do up to 300. I'm looking at PS4s at the moment but to be honest I don't know anything about this stuff. What do you recommend?

My girl is not drinking enough.

She's got dark pee. I try to encourage her to drink throughout the day and sometimes she'll humor me an take a few sips, but most of the time she ignores me. We go on a one hour walk every day, and she's acting like she's tired in a way she never used to--I'm worried about her.

Recommend a page turner for my reluctant reader

My eleven year old is a late bloomer with reading (as I was). What made the difference for me was discovering teen romances. That's very far from his thing. He loves stories. He's really into ancient history and medieval history. Loves weapons, but is also kind of sensitive, so I don't want anything very violent at this point.

He's not a confident reader so I think Tolkien is way too hard, even a shorter book like The Hobbit, although he loves those movies. He needs to build up his confidence. Ideally, the books I'd get him would be relatively short but action packed, full of cliffhangers to keep him wanting to read more.

I'm open to comic books but we also need text novels because we'll be reading those together this summer.
