My Lipstick Collection (+ swatches + reviews) 💄✨

I have formed a lipstick collection over the past 2 years, and here's where I'm at right now. Most of these are extremely affordable, ranging from ₹100 to ₹400.

Here's a small, honest review of all these products (TBW: I don't really care for non-transfer lipsticks, so my reviews are based on that, but I'll mention if something is not transfer-proof)

  1. Dot & Key Gloss Boss Strawberry Crush: (5/5)
A very cute red shade, smells exactly like strawberry (tastes like it too, don't ask me why ik that </3)

  2. Mars Candylicious Gloss (Tutti Frooti): (5/5)
Not sticky at all and makes your lips look very juicy

  3. Insight Long Wear Lip Gloss (Frost): (3/5)
It's a bit thicker than I like and kinda sticky, but it's cheap (literally ₹100), and it does the job

  4. Insight Lip & Cheek Tint (Strawberry Summer): (5/5)
I'll keep buying her for the rest of my life; she is the most perfect warm-toned blush, and I use it as a lip tint when I want a more cohesive look

  5. Etude Water Tint (The shade is probably Cherry or smth I can't find it): (2/5)
Water tints are kind of annoying to use because when you blend them, you absorb more product than you end up using. I'd suggest using like a silicone applicator or a brush instead of your fingers or a sponge. It also settles into the fine lines of your lips, and it's not two-toned lips friendly if you wear it by itself. Doesn't last long either, and not to mention Etude isn't cruelty-free. I only use this to colour correct my lips when I want to wear a soft pink or nude lip.

  6. Insight Gloss Up Vinyl Lipstick (Muted Maple): (4/5)
It's the Maybelline Vinyl dupe, and it's like 90% transfer-proof, but it's kind of sticky. Doesn't work unless you follow the very specific and long list of instructions it comes with lol. But its super pigmented, looks glossy, and it literally smells like salted caramel. The shade is stunning too. It makes you work for it, but it's mostly worth it.

  7. Insight Gloss Up Vinyl Lipstick (Cappuccino Crush): (4/5)
Also smells like salted caramel (I could give these a +10 for that alone; they smell heavenly), and the shade is a nice dark brown.

  8. Sugar Pop Lip Balm (Plum): (6/5)
Y'all don't understand the number of compliments I receive when I wear this; it's a beautiful shade, even when you wear it by itself. On days when I don't want to do heavy makeup/base makeup, I just use this as a blush, and it gives me the most natural, glowy flush (and it doesn't feel greasy or sticky as a blush either, I promise). I'm about to hit pan on this one soon 💔

  9. Sugar Pop Lip Balm (Cherry): (4/5)
It's a bit too bright red for me (I like deeper reds), but if you like the shade, it's super cute. Also works as a blush.

  10. Sugar Lip Balm (Irish Coffee): (6/5)
It's kind of like Vaseline but less slippery, so I sometimes wear it before sleeping, and I wake up to super soft lips. Hitting pan on this one too, very soon. Smells really good too.

  11. Mars Popstar (Pop Off): (5/5)
Liquid. Matte. Doesn't transfer. Doesn't feel too dry or patchy. But the formula turns darker after drying, so don't trust any swatches until they're dry because this looked like a light nude when I first applied it.

  12. Enn Beauty Semmi Matte Lipstick (Mocha Martini): (3.5/5)
Kinda sticky. Kinda transfers. But it's apparently vegetarian and contains ghee, so it has a nice sheen to it. I'm mostly salty that the shade was a light nude in the photos (can y'all tell I've been in search for a good nude lol), but it's pretty cute otherwise.

  13. MARS Creamy Matte (Zesty Zumba): (3/5)
I loveeeee the shade, it's perfect for a bold desi look, but it feels dry and makes your lips look crusty.

  14. Manish Malhotra Creamy Lipstick (I have no idea what this shade is called): (2.5/5)
I LOVEEEE this shade, but the formula is SOOOO BAD. I got this from a wholesaler for kinda cheap so idk if this is a dupe lmfao (which idt it is because the packaging is so high quality, but who knows). The formula doesn't damage my lips or anything but its a bit TOO creamy, almost as tho it's melted. Because of which it lasts for exactly 0.05 seconds LMAO. It's also too light for me so i have to use a brown lip liner to make it work. I also think this was a limited edition or smth.

  15. Insight Creme Comfort (No Strings): (5/5)
THIS is my perfect nude. The packaging has a luxe vibe too (the gold case; it's magnetic as well) if you care about collecting. Smells like warm chocolate. Glides smooth and feels balmy. Has a nice sheen. What I love is that it's very buildable, which was it makes it such a good nude (My swatch is at max coverage). And despite being kind of sheer, it's somehow two toned lips friendly. BUT, it transfers if you care about that.

  16. Insight Edge of Desire Liner (Magnetic Magenta): (4.5/5)
It's a bit pink-leaning for my liking (honestly mb for not reading the name lol) but its soft and creamy.

  17. Insight Edge of Desire Liner (Choco Butter): (5/5)
Literally the most perfect true brown for a chatpata lip combo 😋. It's neutral and neither too dark nor too light.

  18. Miniso Smoothie Lip Mask (Brown Candy): (3.5/5)
Lip Masks changed my LIFE. This healed my lips so well. BUT I got scammed. I should've opened the packaging to check the quantity or smth because most of the packaging is a waste of materials and space; the product itself is very little. Comes with a cute applicator tho.

  19. Mars Infinity Demi Matte Palette (Var 3): (4/5)
Lmk if y'all want me to swatch this palette. Quality-wise, it's VERY smooth. But it transfers. Love the shade ranges in this. It comes with a brush and spatula. (The brush is a little too hard tho, it takes off more product than it applies)

  20. Vaseline (Cocoa Butter): (1000000/5)
Vaseline is the loml. Y'all can pry her away from my COLD DEAD HANDS.

Okay that's it imma yeet out now 😔💅🏻

I wanna try out GLs

Okay, so I'm mostly a Bl girlie, but I love yuri, so I've been meaning to try some GLs, too. My only issue is that the very reason I got into BLs is that I don't like how women are represented in like 95% of straight romance. Too much sexism and sexualisation for my liking. Even in BLs, they sometimes treat the characters, esp the bottoms, the same way because they essentially see them as the "woman" of the relationship, and that kind of irks me.

This is why I've been unsure of GLs, so can any GL watcher tell me if it's better for women in GLs out there, or should I just stay away? Also, can y'all give me specific reccs where they have good representation with clear consent being involved?

I also really want to see "Us" because EmiBonnie have been on my feed so much; is that a good start?

I was watching Only Friends and noticed something about the ost

Not much to read here other than this random thing I noticed about how the Let's Try Ost sounds so similar to Dum Dum by Jeff Satur. I love both of these tracks sm ngl they're a total vibe.

Retail Brand: Savana [Medium Press On Nails (Red)] - link in body

First time trying press-ons, never did nail prep before, so I pushed in the cuticle a bit too hard, and the alcohol stung, lol. But was it worth it? ABSOLUTELY. I'm in love, and I don't think I'm ever going back to regular nails as much as I miss my ability to type lmao.

Retail Brand: Savana [Design Name: Medium Press On Nails (Red)]

Here's a link to make it easier: Red Bow Nails

P.S. They came with a nail filer and sticky tabs which I did try on earlier but I did it without prep so they didn't work for me. I bought a nail glue instead and they are sturdier but if you prefer sticky tabs, go for it they're super cute.

Need some Got7 Album/EP reccs

So, I'm very new to K-pop but ik a lil bit about BamBam and Jackson Wang through some other fandoms, and I've heard a few of their individual songs, which I quite loved. I honestly love the vibe of Got7 as a whole from whatever little I've seen of them in reels and edits.

I've been meaning to get into their music, but I'm more into listening to full albums/EPs, so do y'all have any reccs for a newbie?

As such, I'm open to any good music regardless of the genre, but I lean more towards good lyrics, so if there are any albums/EPs that are more English, that'd be nice cuz I'm super new around here. But again, anything works as long as it's good.

I also don't mind any singles if they're super iconic or a must-hear and all that. Pretty flexible to any kind of reccs, but full albums are appreciated.

Underrated Scenes Appreciation!

What's a scene/quote/element in the movie that you wish more people talked about?

I'll go first: The scene where they discovered Adrian, and no, I'm not just saying that because of the breathtaking visuals.

Rocky trying to name the planet Medium Rough Texture Circle Planet (hilarious by itself already). Then instead of rejecting his idea, Grace going, hey how about a backup in case that one's taken (sweet, considerate). And Grace choosing to name the planet after Rocky's mate when he had the option to name it anything in the world, that's the beauty of their bond.

And finally, Rocky saying it's beautiful when Grace picks Adrian, because honestly, it really is a beautiful name for both his mate and the planet.

AND add to all that the visuals, it really is the most perfect scene to me.

EDIT: When I say underrated, it can be entirely underrated, and it can be relatively underrated, too. Since PHM is on the scale it is right now, using the word underrated might sound wrong, so just clarifying that it can just be something small and specific that you love and want to point out so more people can appreciate it <3

Savana is testing my patience.

I placed an order on Savana on 8th of June, and they gave me an estimate of 16th-19th June. On the 14th of June, my tracking (still under processing) got updated one last time, and then Savana just... ghosted me. It's been 6 days, and the tracking is still stuck there. So I tried to talk to their agents. I've been at it for 3 days, and all they keep telling me is to wait for 2-3 more days. When I ask them for clearer answers, they send me the same pre-written responses, and twice, they just ended the chat in the middle of the conversation. I reached out to them on Instagram too, and they told me they'll connect me to an agent, but then they also... ghosted me. No response at all.

My main concern is that this order is worth 5k, which is not a small amount, let's be honest.

If anyone has gone through something similar (since I've only placed one or two orders from Savana before this), can y'all tell me what happened with y'all? Did you receive the order at all, even if it was delayed?

And ik one option is to mail them, but I can't seem to find their ID anywhere either, and honestly, I'm just frustrated with how bad the quality of their customer service is.

Lowkey thought Dyuti was kinda fine until he opened his mouth to talk 🥀

Can we talk about how painfully underrated 10Dance was?

I mean, yeah, sure, Heated Rivalry was fine. But 10Dance was a piece of ART, and Heated Rivalry stole all the spotlight (no hate). I wish 10Dance had gotten the hype it deserved, but Ig Sugiki was right, Asians really can't be no. 1 🥀

I like..... Laili and Alizey?

I'm sure people don't quite like them, but I find them to be kinda alright? I liked the way they comforted Iryna and how Laili kept telling her that she wasn't a bad mom. I also liked how Laili didn't crash out when she found out Alizey invited Pam, and instead mentioned how her sister is just a peacemaker. Sounds like they share a sweet bond. Alizey lacks a bit of personality imo, but overall I don't exactly hate them so far?

But I don't mind changing my opinions cuz I see people not like them lmaoo, makes me feel like I'm missing something. So genuinely, why do y'all not like them?

P.S. Some real reasons aside from the plastic shit, I am talking about them as people, not about how they look or wtv

Hair type - 2b, low porosity: Tips to a newbie who wants to take better care of her hair? seeking Reccos/Review

Hi everyone! I have meduim to high density, low porosity, and medium thick hair and I’ve been trying to understand it better because it’s been a little difficult to manage lately. My biggest issue is dryness, especially during winters when my hair starts feeling frizzy and dull.

Right now my routine is just regular Dove shampoo and conditioner, so I don’t really have a proper hair routine yet. I’m mostly trying to build one that keeps my hair moisturized without making it feel too heavy or greasy. Since my hair is low porosity, I feel like a lot of products don’t absorb properly, so I’m still figuring out what works best for me.

I’ve also been thinking about trying a proper curly/wavy hair routine at some point because I feel like my waves could probably look more defined with the right products and techniques. If anyone with similar hair has beginner-friendly CGM/wavy routine tips, product suggestions, or advice for reducing dryness and hair fall, I’d really appreciate it!

Also, any styling tips for long wavy hair would be really helpful!
