Passed and got my CLP today!

The Knowledge, Air Brakes, and Combination test questions were verbatim from the CDL Prep app (steering wheel with the blue background), as well as CristCDL.com, and epermittest.com.

I also studied the CDL manual for Florida.

Two weeks of studying really paid off. Finished all three test in 45 minutes. Now it’s time to learn how to drive a tractor.

Colonoscopy prep update:

I’m literally sitting on the toilet as I type this.

Yesterday I made a post asking for advice on how to prepare for my colonoscopy this Friday, and a lot of you came through with some great tips.

One of y’all recommended mixing the nasty prep powder with white Gatorade to help mask the flavor. Whoever suggested that, you’re a lifesaver.

It actually helps a lot! But damn, son… nobody warned me that the human body was capable of pissing out of the back like this.

I thought I knew what diarrhea was.

I did not.

I’ll keep y’all posted. 🫡

Anyone here become a CDL truck driver after the Marines?

Currently have no career prospects so was looking into getting my CDL. I wonder what y’all’s input is on the matter.

Pay, lifestyle, days off, family time, etc…

Any point in disclosing sleep apnea?

I was diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea while in the military. I was prescribed a CPAP from the VA. Since then, I lost 30lbs, quite smoking, and limited my alcohol intake. I’m now 165 at 5’10.

I’m thinking about going to CDL school soon and was wondering if there is any point in disclosing my sleep apnea past on the DOT physical? I go to the gym 5x a week, normal BMI, and a normal resting heart rate. My gf said I don’t snore, nor stop breathing anymore when I’m asleep.

Just wondering what experienced CDL driver thoughts on here.

Can you get a CDL license with VA disability?

I’m SC for sleep apnea and been prescribed a CPAP, even though I dont use it anymore. When I was prescribed the CPAP, I was pushing 200lbs, but now I’m 165lbs at 5’10. I sleep fine now and wake up fine.

I’m SC for sleep apnea, but I don’t use the CPAP machine I’ve been prescribed. Wondering if anyone here has been through the process.

Interesting

I find it interesting that in 2019, as a teenager, with no credit history at all, Goldman Sachs’s approved me for an Apple Card. I applied once and was denied the first time. I said screw it and applied again, and somehow I was approved.

It’s weird how the whole system works. You see people here with relatively good credit score, being denied for who knows what.

Any who.

What advice would you give a 26 year old man?

I’m 26 years old and my twenties have been interesting. I just wonder if my 30s will be any different.
