Hey there, I'm 19F, and I wanted some help regarding shortlisting and finalising my college. I have applied for certain colleges and the two I'm confused about are : JSS noida vs Chandigarh University (other options are mostly via wbjee: heritage, haldia etc but those don't really provide any coding culture or exposure)

It would be great if someone could help me out by answering these questions:

1. Median/Average reality : is it actually from 9-11L?

2. Companies visiting: any 2026 batch passouts or 3rd year peeps, could you tell me what all companies actually visited the campus and what's the overall % of students placed?

3. How is the coding culture, coding clubs and competitive programming and development crowd?

4. Does college provide exposure and overall crowd?

5. What is the summer internships and workshops scene? How do you guys get those? Does college help you guys in those?

6. How is the mess/hostel scenario? Is the food/living conditions good enough? (Preferably a girl could answer this one😭😭😭🎀)

7. How hard is it to maintain cgpa? Do you guys get time to upskill and stuff?

8. My other option as I said is jss university noida (not jssate,aktu affiliated, that has shut down and merged with jss university) which has newly formed in 2024 so there is no data or stats about the placements and companies because the oldest batch in this uni is in 3rd year😭🙂. But jssate(which was aktu affiliated) had a placement of around 37% 💀💀 with mostly them being mass recruiters so this is the scene with jssate/jss. So I am kinda confused like I can take the risk and go with jss and hope that it would improve in next 4 years but still jss uni is very new so I don't know what to do...

9. Budget is surely an issue. Total jss fees is 16L where as for chandigarh university it's 20L....so yeah

Is the roi for CU worth it?

9. Brand tag/value/alumini network, do these help you guys in off campus placements? How is the overall off campus scenario ?

I'm 19F, and I am from Bengal though I have mostly stayed in Northern part of India but my diet and stuff is bengali pre dominantly (non veg food). I wanted to ask regarding JSS Noida, mess and hostel situation (might take admission this year):

It would be great if someone from jss can reply to the below question 😭😭😭😭 :

1. Non veg vs Veg food? Is non veg food allowed in the premises or is served in the mess? And how is the food in general?

2. For girls, is the room 1-2 seater? Or 3 seater?

3. Do we get AC or Non AC? (Heard someone say getting an AC room is pretty difficult?)

4. How's the wifi situation and network situation?

5. Um are the wardens okay? Like I get sick kinda often and would the wardens atleast give a fuck about me? Like obviously not on parents levels but I heard someone say that the wardens are genuinely shit and all they say is "ice lagalo"😭😭😭🫠

I am getting admission in JSS Noida(Cse-ai/ml) or Heritage Institute of technology (cse, cyber security or data science) or Haldia Institute of technology (cse). What do you think would be a better option for me based on brand value, internships, ROI, placements and exposure? Fees for jss is 16.6L whereas for haldia/Heritage it's 9L

I need some assistance regarding admission in GL bajaj session 2026

I'm 19 F, general, from outside Delhi (West bengal) and I wanted to know regarding admissions in GL Bajaj. I have already filled Uptac councelling form but dunno whether I will get CSE or allied branches in GL Bajaj or not. It would be great if someone could answer the following questions and help me out because I don't have much idea regarding north indian delhi ncr colleges

1. I got 2.8L CRL (82%ile) , general, outside Delhi, will I be able to bag CSE, CSE spcelization or IT in GL bajaj under Uptac councelling?

2. My overall 12th % is 92 and pcm is 80.33% , I got 100 marks in cs in 12th. Based this will i be able to get merit based direct admission in GL bajaj in cse, spcelization or IT?

3. Fee structure of Gl Bajaj including hostel (is it really 8L total?)

I tried calling GL Bajaj but they didn't pick up my calls. I also filled their online form but didn't receive any further assistance from Their side.

Got a number of queries tbh about the whole list of colleges under AKTU or UP colleges tbh please just help me out man because obviously I got zero idea about north india lmao :

1. What are the government colleges under AKTU? Are they better than the private colleges in terms of what companies visit them and placements and overall brand?

2. How to take admission is KIET? Like what's the procedure? (I got 92% in 12th btw I heard somewhere I can benefit from that) are the admission still open?

3. What should be my order for the private colleges under AKTU? (Including KIET)
