been living in Toronto DT for the past few years, never owned a car and never felt like I NEEDED one. even with kids. everything was walking distance and if not, it'd be a streetcar/subway ride away.

I'll be moving to London soon. I might not have a car for the first few months. is it doable ? is public transportation reliable in London ? is it accessible ? I'll be doing daycare/school drop-offs with stroller/wagon.
or should I long-term rent until I get a car ?

I just installed sunshine on my macos mac mini server
I added emulation station desktop edition as an application on sunshine
"/Applications/ES-DE.app" this was set as the output

I installed moonlight client and whnever i click on ES-DE it opens to my desktop and not ES-DE ??!!

I've tried asking chatgpt and it gave me various commands to add but none work.
I mean once im in my desktop i can simply run ES-DE from the dock and start playing but it's kinda bugging me that it's not starting straight to ES-DE

awesome launcher seems very promising.
I installed it just now to give it a shot and I like it. However I noticed that it's not playing nicely with both Plex and Plezy " a plex client" apps. when on the top row, the featured "watch next" cards fail to load the episode/movie thumbnails for some reason. and only shows up as a black rectangle with the movie/episode title.

I'm seeing alot of setup here on this reddit where Plex watch next seems to be working just fine so i'm wondering if this has anything to do with the fact that im running the app on a fire stick 4k max !?
that being said, projectivy seems to be working fine and is able to pull watch next info fully from Plezy with no problems.

on a side note. can the featured cards size be changed to poster size 2:3 instead of the current square size 1:1 " or is it 16:9 im not sure"

I changed my iPhone 8 battery and it worked fine for the first 24 hours. After the battery went all the way down to 0% I plugged it in to charge but now the phone is stuck in restart loop and the battery is stuck on 1%

I re opened the phone and made sure every thing is connected tight and no loose parts or anything but it didn’t help.

The reviews for the battery in Amazon seems fair, I don’t know if it’s an issue with the battery itself !

I just installed iOS 27 public beta yesterday and it seems that the automation no longer works.
Anybody else having the same issue ?

When I enter my email and password that I created after purchasing the annual subscription I’m getting password is incorrect !!

So I just placed an order under my account and name but the thing is I want my spouse to be the primary registrant not me.

I'm currently using the latest beta version of SmartTube and the latest official release of Projectivy Launcher on a Fire Stick 4k max.
For some reason, SmartTube isn't showing up as an option at all when I go under "Edit Channels."

(Note: Please don't reply with "get an Onn box" or "throw away the Fire Stick" unless you're buying me one)

long time tivimate user in the process of switching to sparkle mainly for its integration with homescreen channel
one feature i'd love to see in this app is ( dealy before adding to history/recent channels
I dont want a channel to be added to recent channels just becasue i passed it while flipping up and down

of course this makes a big difference cause i have recent channels as a a row in my home screen launcher

would love to have my favorite channels or recent channels on my tv homescreen

I recently switched from Apple TV to a Fire TV Stick 4K Max, and I’m struggling to replicate my old idle setup.

On my Apple TV, I had my family pictures set as a screensaver starting after 5 minutes of idling, and then the Apple TV would turn the TV off completely after another 15 minutes of screensaver.

On the Fire TV 4K Max, the "Ambient Experience" screensaver can only be set to start after a minimum of 15 minutes of idling (which is a PITA, but I can live with it). However, there is no setting to control when the device send the tv to sleep.
Right now, it seems hardcoded that only the Fire TV will turns off after 20 minutes of screensaver. When it does that, it triggers my TV’s built-in idle screen, which takes another 15 minutes to turn off the TV completely.

So my current timeline looks like this:

• Home Screen (15 mins) ➔ Screensaver (20 mins) ➔ TV Idle Screen (15 mins) ➔ TV Finally Turns Off

I want to know if there is any way I can make it this way:

• Home Screen (5 mins) ➔ Screensaver (15 mins) ➔ TV Turns Off

Appreciate any insight from anyone who has successfully bypassed this!

I just installed this launcher on my fire stick 4k max and for some reason watch next widget on the home screen doesn’t work with Plex official app.
Is this known limitation or am I missing something?
It seems to be working just fine with “Plezy” a non-official plex client but I’m no longer using it so I’d rather have the widget be connected to the official plex app

So we went to Canada’s Wonderland today, and after one of the rides I got talked into buying the seasonal FunPix photo pass. The employee gave me a small card with a QR code on it and said I could add it to Apple Wallet later through the website.

I just checked myfunpix.com, and there’s no option anywhere to add it to Apple Wallet. This card is definitely getting lost before our next visit, so I’m hoping I’m missing something

has anyone been able to add theirs?

I finally upgraded from a 1st Gen FireStick (2017) that was stuck on an older version of fireos, and was really looking forward to the refreshed interface. However, after setting it up, it looks exactly the same as my ancient one.

Am I missing a setting somewhere ?
