This is a weird story but here we go:

Recently I showed my mom 'Lords or Chaos' (A movie about early years of a band - 'Mayhem'. It is bad from a fan's perspective but it talked about crimes and murder. Something me and my mom bond over - watching cults, crimes, murder movies, documentaries, listening to podcasts).

Surprisingly she enjoyed it, though she was concerned about death scenes. When there was a scene of one of the band's vocalists - Dead's suicide, I mentioned the infamous bootleg - 'The Dawn of The Black Hearts' and things surrounding it. (It is a really gory picture so I'm warning). She just nodded and we continued.

Something my mother despises is me exclusively wearing band shirts on a daily basis. No matter the graphic, fit or anything. She just hates them for some reason and refuses to buy me ones when asking for gifts. She bought me one a few years ago but when I started to wear it almost every day she was upset for some reason.

Back to the current time.

My mom happily announced that she has something for me. I thought that she maybe got me something from her store, until I unpacked it and saw a t-shirt with that picture of the Mayhem's vocalist with his head contents just spilling out. I had no idea how to react so I just awkwardly said that "it's cool".

And now I'm stuck.

I really appreciate my mom's attempts at appreciating my hobbies and interests (for the first time in a very, very long time) but at the same time, the print feels so disrespectful to me and other fans. Dead's parents, friends and other people tried to stop the photo from spreading but the damage was done.

I am not sure what to do with it now... I'm the type of person that can't say no. I've thought of just forgetting about it or throwing it away but I know my mom will be upset.

Hi, I'm F18 (19, later this year)

For as long as I remember, I always daydreamed. About everything, literally everything. Sometimes even forgetting about other things. But for the last couple of years it has been one thing: relationships.

Everyone around me: my siblings, my classmates, people my age is dating. Some relationships were short, some long. Some were so beautiful when watching from aside.
In almost every video game I play or movie I watch, there's always a topic of romance and it always makes me think "It would be so nice to have someone I can talk with, someone I can be physically with, someone I can be vulnerable with".
I even started imagining my ideal partner. Personality, interests, appearance.

But with my luck I never had an actual boyfriend or girlfriend.
I did what I could, Try to change myself. Try to be myself. Try this, try that. Be this, be that.
I would always hear that I am too ugly, I am too weird or while I tried to flirt, people would always already have a partner or quickly find one.

My friends laugh at my standards which are just simply being kind and liking me. I started to ignore other traits and focused on just finding someone that could like me. But now I realize I might be doomed.

I'm trying to fill my head with different things, other than dating but it just keeps coming back, over and over again.
I've always heard from my mother that adults can control themselves and their thoughts but I am struggling so bad. Everyone always told me I am so mature for my age but I just can't control my thoughts and I crave a relationship with another human and breathing being so, so much..

I used to go therapy sessions (It started because I was too shy and I can't say no and some other things) but they didn't really help me that much and it got too expensive for me and my parents to continue so the 'therapy' answer is currently a bit off-limits for me

I don't know why. If it's my terrible luck or just coincidence but every time I find a new hobby, soon it explodes in popularity and of course scalpers.

I've been into collecting dolls as long as I can remember. Customizing, photography, forums. I never really had any dolls in my childhood (the only new ones I got were 3 EAHs and the rest were old, moldy Bratz from my cousins) but I always adored Monster High.

Now, when I'm an adult. I can go work, I can legally earn money - Bam. Monster High is popular and my favourite characters (Ghoulia, Cupid, Isi, Wydowna) are some of the most overpriced dolls.

I've had the same thing with figure collecting and Lolita fashion - adored it for years, finally have money - it stops being niche and is filled with scalpers.

It hurts even more when I was into something when it was cheap (like Monster High and Lolita fashion) when people were quickly selling or giving away their things before the prices skyrocketed.

I am scared (half-joking) of finding something else because I know, with my luck it will get popular and get overpriced to the oblivion.

I know it will sound terrible but I wish for the bubble to burst so the prices could go back and people who were here just for a quick buck would leave

I'm thinking of creating my Monster High OCs. While I don't have a problem with some of them, I'm having issues with male characters.

A lot of head molds I could find (Monster High and different brands) have what I like to call: 'A chad mold'. If you think of chad, and suffer from the same face syndrome. All of them have very strong, angular jaws, meanwhile I'm also looking for more softer ones.

And another thing which also includes girls, is the fact that strong, roman noses or just aquiline ones are impossible to find.

Finding a masculine face with different or more interesting features is almost impossible. Most of male dolls also have molded hair.

Male bodies are also always either skinny or very muscular but I want average.

My male oc is indigenous (Cree) and I'm inspired by a musician I saw online and fell in love with his features: strong aquiline nose, high cheekbones, angular/square jaw. But I'm struggling to find a good base for him.

Would I just be better off sculpting on an already existing mold?

Also I'm looking for a good site with Monster High head molds references. I found one tumblr but it was not updated since 2014 and I found a google drive link but it was just messy

I wasn't very active in IN community for a long time and I haven't played a game for a long time too (last time I only quickly logged to buy Queen's Move)

I started to see posts on my Reddit timeline about some cleveage drama? Something is getting censored?

I also saw a post of Cn players calling Nikki their 'baby' or 'child'? What's going on 😭

For more context: my mom runs an outlet. I'm not sure if this term works abroad but in short, she often buys big packs of Zalando Returns, samples or ends of collections. It's a popular way a lot of boutiques and second hand stores work in my country.

Most of the things are thoroughly checked and then the packs are graded and then sold, so she's buying things blind. Some of the things have small damages, some have bigger ones but we either don't sell them or get them fixed professionally and sell them for a lot less.

My mom is a huge fashion maniac and checks for any damage, if it's original, etc. And she is pretty good at it after spending most of her life with clothes.

We sold a lot of clothes through vinted and never had any big issues.

Back to the Vinted part of the story.

There were a few things in my mom's store which we knew won't sell well in store so as a way to let me earn some money, she gave me some things to sell on Vinted. Including an Adidas dress. It was almost fully made out of huge sequins. I noticed that some were bent but it wasn't anything bad. It had all tags and when we opened the package when the stock came to the store, it was still in its original bag. Besides that it was brand new.

I put it on my Vinted for less than half of it's original price and put a disclaimer that some of the sequins are bent. I picked the option 'brand new with tags'. I had a lot of people asking me about it

Then comes the buyer, let's call her Ms. Monkey. Ms. Monkey kept lowballing me but at one point she put a price I was satisfied with. Then she started to ask so many questions about the measurements. Okay? I mean it was in the description but okay.

Then she bought the dress. It was the middle of the night but she kept asking, when will I send it, why did I not send it yet. I told her I will send it the next day in the morning. And I did.

While the package was in delivery, Ms. Monkey went on vacation. I had to wait for so long for her to finally get the package out of the InPost box, I think it's time was almost up.

She got the package and I kept waiting and waiting a few days. Finally she messaged me:

• The tags were in the wrong place (??)

• Some of the sequins were bent (I literally mentioned that?)

• The dress smelled of cigarettes (No one in my house smokes, and it didn't smell when I sold it)

It was my first time on Vinted with someone like that. And the way she worded everything, sounded like I've just scammed her.

I calmly told her that I mentioned all the defects in the description, that I run an outlet, that the things are coming from returns, samples or even overstock but everything is brand new.

I also added that if she's not satisfied, we can do a return.

Ms. Monkey took our sweet, sweet time before telling me that I lied to her and she will not confirm that the transaction was successful.

I'm getting anxious because it was still expensive, I never had such a situation on vinted and I'm worried I'll be left without a dress or money.

I am not sure who's right? Did I actually scam her?

An update: I've selected an option for her to return the dress but she threw a tantrum in my messages :/ I guess we just have to wait

I just saw someone selling fully complete Ghoul's Night Out Spectra (one of my dream dolls), she's in almost perfect condition, the seller even offered to give her original box and the price is low.

The problem? She is so yellow around her scalp and her hands. I know that it's a problem with all Spectra's or dolls with lighter skin but this one just looks bad. Dark yellow and shiny. It even reached her face.

However she's one of my dream dolls and seeing this offer just feels like a God send.

I never 'lightened' a doll so I don't really know what to do. I saw some people working with UV lamp/sun but also soaking her arms?

I saw that it's possible to accidentally ruin a doll's face but is it possible to just do it too much?

Also I'm not sure if it's sun damage or the glue from the scalp. Does fixing these look the same or is it different?

This might be weird but it's something I've been thinking for quite some time. I have some artists which I've been listening for years but not all albums.

There are bands in which I like a lot of their older things, their newer things are not really something I'm into. Or artists where I have one favourite album or even a few songs.
For example: Gnaw Their Tongues. I have 2 albums from Maurice that I love but I've tried the rest and it was just not for me.
Or Mayhem (I know great example..), I like their older albums and some of their newer things but it's the 90's black metal sound that really made me fall in love with them and their music.

Would it be wrong to call myself a fan? Or to put patches on my battle jacket despite not liking all of their music?

For context: I live in a very rural area of Eastern Europe, Poland specifically. But the MH community is crazy over there. It would be cheaper for me to buy a complete C.A. Cupid from abroad + pay for shipping than just the doll (without any clothes and accessories) here. Same with different dolls. Vinted is filled with scammers, scalpers and people selling broken or destroyed dolls for fortune

I decided to look on local Facebook groups. I posted under an anonymous account a few posts that I'm looking to buy or if anyone has free dolls, I can take them (unrealistic, ik but maybe there are oblivious parents..). I posted a collage of a few dolls I'd like and also just a generic photo.

I didn't really think about it and I left it for a couple of days. Most of my posts didn't get any traction, I just shrugged but I noticed that on a few groups for a town nearby my posts have been removed by group admins.

I thought it was weird so I posted it again, worded it a bit differently but again my post got deleted and I got a message from admins to stop posting about dolls.

There wasn't any rule prohibiting things or anything like that, people posted many different things, hell there was even drama in the group.

I decided to ask them 'Why?'. I didn't get a reply from anyone for a few days until I finally got a reply from one of the group's admins.

In the area there was another collector who asked and paid the admins to delete any other posts from users looking for dolls.

At first I thought he was joking but he was dead serious.

I expected anything. Spamming, language, quality of the posts but not that.

I know that some people can fight for dolls but I did not expect bribing Facebook group admins

I guess it's time to go back on Vinted 😭

I'm thinking of taking a gap year between high school and college. While planning what I should do, I thought of doing a 'pilgrimage'.

Plenty of people my age are doing them, mostly going to sacred sites but I'm not interested in religion.

I have a few family members living in Norway, so I thought of places such as Nosebled Records and burnt Church sites from the days of Church burnings. I'd have to see what metal festivals will be happening in the future since I could go there too.

(Thought I'm open to places all over EU)

But then, what else? I've been mostly listening to music and I've started dipping my toes into the 'subculture' side a bit more.

I'm taking all ideas into consideration since I'm open to traveling.

To jest trochę głupie pytanie ale przeprowadzamy się z rodziną na takie małe ranczo. Dalej ta sama miejscowość ale bardziej schowane, nieznane i bardzo ciężkie do dostania się miejsce.

Najpierw trzeba sobie poradzić z dość ciężką drogą leśną a potem z kilometr piaskowej drogi.

Jeszcze tam nie mieszkamy ale ostatnio mieliśmy pierwszą przesyłkę i pierwsze problemy.

Była to IKEA - kuchnia i szafa rodziców. Nigdy wcześniej nie mieliśmy żadnych problemów no a tutaj zaczęły się problemy. Najpierw dostaliśmy info że nie widać u nich tego miejsca, wysłaliśmy im lokalizacje na google maps. Potem mieli problemy z samą drogą, ale koniec końców jakoś im się udało. (Skończyło się na paru poobijanych frontów 🤷)

Wiem że istnieją paczkomaty ale np. moja mama handluje paletami i może być to problem, albo zamawianie zza granicy (często muszę sobie sporwadzać merch różnych artystów, i najczęściej jest tylko jeden sposób dostawy). Nie zawsze też jest możliwość kontaktu z kurierem (w przypadku gdy nie będzi mu pokazywało tego danego adresu).

Pytałam się na poczcie czy oferują skrytki ale uslyszałam że nie.

Czy miał ktoś podobny problem?

I currently got an offer on a prototype doll of my grail. However the problem is that her hair is cut badly - I mean bald in some places.
This was one of my dream dolls for a longer time and I just see her this cheaply but I have no idea how her faceup might react.

It's handpainted and I'm not sure if it's sealed or not..

Would it be better to just leave her as is, or maybe spray some MSC and then reroot her?

I know it might ruffle some feathers but I don't care that she's a prototype - I just care that it's that specific doll I've been hunting for some time
