27M here and here is a bit of info about me if anyone wants to know.
I’m from Hyderabad, I have been living here for the past 12 years. I work as a Software Engineer and I’m looking to shift to Bangalore by early next year and to Tokyo, eventually.
My current hobbies are being a full time Japanese language enthusiast, read books, play chess and workout.
I’m currently studying for N2 Japanese and I have been going to ‘Hyderabad Reads’ club on weekends and I find it fun. I won the last two Chess tournaments at my company just by being mid at chess.com. Let me know if any one of you wants to play lol. I have been going to the gym regularly and I hope we can motivate each other on this.
My favourite music is Pop Punk/Punk Rock. I am a huge Green Day fan and that’s when I got interested in the western music. Some of my fav bands: Green Day, All Time Low, Coldplay and Kodaline.
I love movies and random tea-walks with my friends. I have been travelling frequently for the past few years after years of getting humbled by life and doing nothing about it. I went to the beach for the first time at 23 and instantly fell in love with the sea, got my passport this year and I plan to go on my first international trip soon. I’m quite grateful and enjoying this part of my life.
Some of my fav movies are Sing Street and Your Name. Fav shows are The Office, Seinfeld and HIMYM. I’ve just been watching Terrace House these days to improve my language reading and listening skills for the exam.
What’s my dream you ask? To settle down in a big walkable city with the love of my life, laughing and travelling the world together.
My CF stance is going to be my partner’s stance since I always thought it is only natural that women should make the decision. I always have something to say and I plan things out, online or offline for us to do. Is Dokkai the toughest part in N2? Grammar, vocab and kanji are all incremental to N3?
What would you say differs N2 from N3 in particular?
Hey guys, I thought I’d switch to iPhone 17 or something but if I just replace the battery, it is just as good.
I heard Apple is making big changes with iPhone 20 next year so maybe it is the perfect time to upgrade, I can just give this phone to my dad or just exchange it, thoughts?
It is not until I got the MacBook Air recently that I felt I’m making a good use of the iPad as a secondary screen, increasing my productivity and not just as a glorified Netflix machine. Don’t get me wrong, I have tried making my iPad my main machine, got the keyboard, mouse and pen. But I just couldn’t make it work. It’s not the hardware but the iPadOS is very limiting. Apple should just give iPad macOS imo or really improve iPadOS so it can make use of these M3/M4 chips. What do you guys think?
Bought this at Vijay Sales today with Student Discount (10%), Credit Card (7k) and exchanging my old dell laptop (29k). Absolutely delighted as this was my dream for almost a decade now. This is the first proper laptop that I bought for myself with my own hard earned money. I still remember getting frustrated often with my old laptops, gave me lot of troubles when I wanted to study or even during interviews. I waited for the day to get this and finally I have it in my hands. I just know that I’m gonna make the best use of it.
Planning to take Apple care too for 3 years at least as I have saved a lot of money by exchanging my old laptop. What’s your experience with Apple care? Did you guys take the 3 years option? Did anyone take yearly option until cancelled? Need suggestions on this.
I’m looking for N2 decks for kanji and vocab, if you think these helped in clearing the exam.
I’m just wondering if 6 months is enough to do N2. What do you guys think?
