30L crag backpack??

hi everyone, im looking to buy the rei ruckpack 30l and use as a backpack for climbing (originally i wanted the 40l but realized it would be too big as a personal bag for flying).

i would pack 6-12 draws, ~70m rope, shoes, harness, chalkbag. would 30l be enough for this?

CAMP Orbit Wire Express KS Quickdraws vs Mammut Crag Wire Indicator Quickdraws

Both are wire gated and I found them for the same price. Does anyone have any experience with either?

Returning items and repurchasing it from resupply

One of my friends is an avid rei consumer and an equal returner who always raves about buying discounted items via their outlet. I was curious if it would be hypothetically possible to buy something, return it, and then repurchase it after it is resold for a discounted price via the resupply?

For context, I have never bought anything from rei and dont have the membership so I wouldn't be able to buy things via resupply anyways, but was wondering if this is some kind of insider secret hack that people do.

Working for Aramark as a climber

Hi everyone!!

I am a climber who is looking to spend more time in the valley and was looking into working there as well for lodging and money. I am considering a retail job and know that basically everything is operated by Aramark.

I was wondering if any climber has experience with working full-time for them. If so, how did it go? Did it feel like you had adequate energy and time to actually climb?

Hi everyone, I recently started climbing but go to a big corporate gym where I have been told the grades tend me be really soft. As such, I am looking to compare the difficulty of routes in various gyms. I think it would be interesting to see how different grading is across the board. If you are willing to, please drop a pic of a 5.9 route in your gym

I will be staying at Yosemite for a while for work, but need to take a science class with a lab (in person) at a cc. I was wondering what cc would be most accessible via the busses at Yosemite. Does anyone have any experience commuting to and from the valley for a class?
