Im having trouble installing Mint Cinnamon on a lenovo legion laptop and can not seem to figure this out.

I created a bootable usb with Balena Etcher, it launches fine, but when I get to the installer, I do not have the option to "install alongside windows" only "erase disk and install" and "something else." I used this option on a windows 10 machine a few days ago and really liked it.

I have disabled BitLocker and fast startup, which I read should fix the problem, but I'm not having any luck.

I recently installed mint from usb as a dual boot option on a windows 10 machine and used the install alongside windows option. It allowed me to partition and format a drive very easily. Now I’m installing it on windows 11 and only have the options “erase disk and install..” or “something else” that takes me to a installation type tool that I’m not familiar with, though it looks like a partition tool. Is there any way for me to get this simple option back? I made the iso with Rufus for 10 and balena etcher for 11 if that could make a difference, I also renamed the grub64.efi file to mmx64.efi as I got a Failed to open EFI boot x64 file not found error when booting on the windows 11 machine.

I just got a TV for the first time and I’m looking for a HMDI casting device but I don’t know much about them, I would probably use it almost exclusively for plex. I would like to avoid google and amazon products if possible. Is there an open source solution?

I just need it for about 30 seconds, so I'm wondering if there is an inexpensive option or an alternative process/material that might be readily available.

It’s time for my annual attempt to get back on Linux. In the past I’ve used Ubuntu, but want to try out Mint. I’ve read that plex is not explicitly supported on Mint, but that doesn’t seem to stop it from working (as Mint is based on Ubuntu I think?) Anyone here running Mint with plex? This is not for the server, just the desktop app. I already have the server set up on a synology NAS.

I can’t log in anymore, I haven’t used it for quite a while but I can’t stand the regular app.

The NAS itself is accessible through the network, so I believe it’s working fine, where do I go from here?

I've been having the recurring sidestore UDID issue (1006), and in the process of trying to fix it, I've somehow made things worse. When I use iloader to install sidestore stable, can't the install seems to go fine until I refresh sidestore for the first time after install, then I get the UDID error. I cant install any apps or refresh anything. Any ideas how I might proceed?

I’m using Sidestore and LiveContainer, and when I attempt to refresh apps at home I get a UDID error and a message to replace my pairing fil(e) with iloader. However, the process works fine consistently at work. I’m connected to WiFi in both cases and using StosVPN. Any idea what causes this?

I wrote fil(e) because that word seems to keep me from posting, as it’s related to apps that are not permitted here.

Have all user APIs been removed/revoked? About a month ago I used mine to reinstall Apollo, and now I get the infinite loading screen. I have tried to install Apollo reborn with the credentials I had saved but it will not work, and I cannot locate the api key on old Reddit like I had before. Any help is much appreciated.
