PSA AR15 16" uppers - most everything is nitride. Is that just the way industry is going now or is it a supply chain/manufacturing issue?

Just something curious I've noticed for a bit. Seems rare now that phosphate chrome lined options come up for sale now. I didn't know if that's the way the market has shifted where the demand is for nitride or if the manufacturing of phosphate chromed barrels is cost prohibitive.

Both are fine to me. I like the matte look of phosphate. But if no one is beating down the doors to get phosphate, I get streamlining the options. Like I said, just curious if there was an active decision one way or the other.

(Yes, a few stainless options are available too.)
