Small update on my overdose a few days ago. The symptoms returned!

A few days ago I posted about how I messed up and took twice the dose of my prescripted meds (lamictal). Back then I experienced blurry vision and slight loss of balance. In the end the symptoms went away and the doctor at the ER said I have nothing to worry about.

Well, that was until I took my regular dose last night and the symptoms returned. They were less intense, but I didnt think much of it as I thought it could just be the aftermath of my previous nights double dose.

Then, this morning they returned once more and the effects were just as bad as the first time when I actually overdosed. I had to switch my assingment at my job today as Im usually our stores main cashier, but there was no way I could continue working with customers whith only one functioning eye. It went away ~3-4hours after I took my meds.

This time it obviously cant be the lamictal causing this as it surely returned to its usual level, the one Ive been on for more than 2 years now, which leads me to my new theory:

Lamictal isnt the only drug Im taking, as I also take 150mgs of lacosamid with it. But heres the difference: the lacosamid is a somewhat new med (Ive been on it just 5months so far) AND just last week we increased my previous 100mgs to 150mg. All my symptoms also fit as side effects of lacosamid and now I think the 50% increase might have caused this.

Ill track my reaction for another few days, but if the symptoms wont go away, Ill obviously talk to my neurologist.

How do you handle your over-aggression?

Hey there! Yesterday I posted about Kalista and in the end my support and I agreed to focus on playing hypercarry enchanter comps like Zeri Lulu, Sivir Milio and especially Yunara Lulu.

The last pairing is by far our best duo and after winning our tournament match yesterday (yaay), we reflected on why certain comps worked better than others and came to a pretty simple conclusion: Im a mechanical freak (or at least above average in our elo) and can put out tons of damage even in tricky teamfights, (We often manage to get quadrakills even if the rest of our team isnt doint great.), but heres my main issue. I often take too risky plays, because Im overconfident and even with his peel usually end up dying in teamfights, though our team can usually clean up afterwards.

We work around this by picking enchanters, so I can get away with way more than I actually should. My mate is also a great support player in general and doesnt care to play aggresive in lane too. Making our eventual lvl6 all in way easier.

But as soon as I enter soloqueue, the lack of communication and his shotcalling in general just makes me play 10times worse. Im way too focused on dealing damage and end up missing stuff like obvious ganks, or not noticing that my teams is retreating while I literally solo engage.

Do you have any tipps on how to work around this? I know all of this sounds like a silly question, but Im really struggling to work around my hyperfocus and I do think that if I improve that part of my gameplay, I can finally make the jump from emerald to diamond.

Thoughts on Kalista in a 5stack?

Hey yall! My friends and I are playing in an amateur league and were currently trying out different team comps. Im by far our highest ranked being emerald 4, with our jgl being the second heighest at gold 2, so we usually win through bot.

Now, I really like Kalista and are confident in my micro on her, though I literally never play her in soloq.Right now my pool consists of Xayah, Yunara and Tristana.

Do you think theres a point in investing time in her, or is she still too gutted by Riot even when youre playing as a 5stack?

Small healer appreciation post from a sprout healer main

Tldr: I like the idea that healers are less of a medic and more like a lifeline, mostly relying on ogcd heals, though a simple damage rotation would definetly make the role more engaging.

Hey there! As I was looking up some guides to improve my knowledge of AST I stumbled upon a lot of videos complaining about the games healer design and how it has become unengaging/boring/braindead. Ill be honest this suprised me alot, because a lot of the aspects people seem to dislike about the role are the ones that made me love playing healer in the first place.

Right now Im at the start of Stormblood so yes, I didnt play most content just yet so take this with a grain of salt. I didnt do any synced extreme, or savage content either, apart of one df Ramuh clear.

Personally, I like the idea of a healer being more of a reliable lifeline than a true 'medic' and aslong as my party and I manage to clear whatever content we queue up for I know that I did my job. I dont mind the fact that most of the time I dont have to use gcd heals if my mates play well, so I can focus on dealing as much damage as possible, but if something goes wrong and I manage to safe the run I knew that I infact did fullfill my task as our partys healer.

I actually started out as a WAR and BLM player, but switched to healer as I didnt like the long queue times from BLM and first timing dungeons my mates have probably played a billion times already as a tank just feels akward.

Honestly the only thing I dislike about the job is that there is no damage rotation. Even if its just a simple 3step one it would make clearing dungeons more engaging, especially since most healers can get the job done by using ogcd heals.

Well, thanks for reading through this! Id love to hear your opinions ln this, do you agree, or am I wrong about the current state of healers? I also appreciate any general advice you may have for someone as new to the game (and healing) as I am.

Hey there! So Ive been playing through the game almost exclusively as a healer (sch, whm,) and so far never had any trouble keeping my party alive.

Well, until today. For context I wrapped up Heavensward last week and I wanted to get the scholar anima before starting Stormblood (did the same for both healer zodiacs before starting HW). Part of that quest line is beating the containment bay trials, which I never did before. The first two went well, but Z1T9 (Zurvan) gave me a lot of trouble. I played SCH and expected a somewhat chill run, but we wiped 3 TIMES, mostly because I didnt manage to keep the party alive during the bosses burst attacks.

For the first time ever I actually panicked (apologized a lot) and one of our dps called me out for my performance aswell. Everyone else defended me which was super wholesome, but still... They werent wrong, I did fuck up big time and that was on normal difficulty. This stings a lot, especially since I always wanted to get into hardcore raids sometime in the future.

I know I shouldnt get this worked up over a single trial, but Im really not sure anymore if healer is the right role for me, because A) apparently Im not even good enough to clear basic non arr trials and B) If I cant manage scholar confidently at lvl60 I imagine it (and probably every job) will be way worse at lvl100.

Thats why Id love to hear your guys opinion on this. Is there any general advice you could give a healer, who struggles this hard at 'normal duties'? Also, will scholar get more difficult with every new expansion? I do play a lot of whm too, but sch has been my main throughout all of HW now.

Finally, I cant praise my party (apart from the dude we kicked) enough. Everyone was super supportive and wholesome, so in the end I did have some fun. Also, this trial was the final step of the relic questline so at least I have a super shiny book now. :)
