My friend said installing Windows 10 on a 15 year old PC is silly. Well i disabled every single unneeded feature, service, added classic windows 2000 icons where i could, renamed some apps on the desk and honestly it isn't just fast, but an absolute joy and beauty to look at, if you appreciate Retro.

Well i disabled every single unneeded feature, service, added classic windows 2000 icons where i could, renamed some apps on the desk and honestly it isn't just fast, but an absolute joy and beauty to look at, if you appreciate Retro.

The PC has a motherboard from 2007, a Core 2 Quad Q9550 2.83 GHz CPU, 8GB Ram, 4GB GTX 960, Intel SSD. It does everything i need, lightning fast, runs Far Cry 3, and Alan Wake maxed out easily in 1680x1050. If you ask why that resolution, i'm sticking to my 22" dell LCD screen, that gives me 0 eye problems even after hours of use. Why a GTX 960? Because i have an offline Windows XP for older games, and the 960 was the last card to support that OS. Just shows, you don't need to spend thousands to have a PC that meets your everyday needs. I saved up for my new rig ages ago, but just never felt the need to upgrade.

I have an item that is getting picked up by royal mail today for returns. How can the status already show it as recieved? Has anyone had this before?

Released in 1990, The Shadows did their version of Crockett's Theme with their unmistakeable signature sound. Shame on me, as a MV fan, only discovering this just recently.

As an undercover detective you spent you whole saturday night working on your latest assignment in a night club. Come sunday morning, you decide to have a walk down Ocean Drive, while it's still queit to clear your head. POV80s.

Another 80s POV - Remember the opening of No Exit from S1? The benches where Zito-Tubbs were sitting, the block on the left, where the team was doing surveillance from. Hell even the Pepsi vending machine is there

Loz Netto - We Touch - The Afternoon Plane - How the song got on to the show

I'm sure many of you are familiar with the song We Touch from Loz Netto, featured in the episode "The Afternoon Plane"

If you watch the video for the song, you'll see the images, the clothing is 100 percent MV influenced, even Loz is dressed like Sonny pretty much.

Obviously personal taste but i consider this song to be among the best on the MV soundtrack list. For me it perfectly captures the 80s and the mood the show was so liked and loved for. I could easily see this used for a scene where Crockett is walking in the street, and debating the aspects of his personal life.
While the song was only released in 1986 hence why it only made it to the show for season 3, had it been released earlier, this could have easily been a Season 1 song.

A few years ago, back in 2022 i came across Loz's number and messaged him. At first he was a bit surprised, but at the same time apprecaited my message saying thank you for this great song. I've screenshotted the bit of the conversation, where he shortly reflects on how his song got to the show, and his thoughts briefly. As it contains no private information, i thought i'd share it, and others might find it interesting. As it doesn't happen every day, we get to talk to someone who's song was featured in the show.

Hey Tommy. Remember the boat that got stolen last month? I think we found it. Another early 80s image from the "real" Vice City, giving you back the vibe of how it was back then.

The Real Vice City

I found this great photo of Ocean Drive from the early 80s. For me it's a picture, i put full screen, and just admire it for minutes. Shows an era of the place of what it was, and what you will never see again. Barely anyone on the street, hardly any people around. Captures a certain atmosphere brilliantly. Some might wonder, but no, it's no AI. This is real life Vice City. Enjoy.

Sikerült visszaszerezni a pénzt?

What age could this bottle be?

Morning Guys

I just got this vintage bottle of old spice. It was meant to be NOS, and it smells strong, delightful, just how i remember it from years and years ago. Very happy with it. The box has no signs of procter and gamble mentioned, just Shulton, and Made in England. Just approximately what age do you reckon it could be. I don't need it down to the year, just roughly.

I appreciate your help :)

This is what the Nokia 6150 should have looked like - very subtle re-design

Ever since i first saw the 6150 back in 1998, i had mixed feelings about it. Just felt like it is a personality looking to find itself. Regarding its design it seemed a little step back, as the 6110 had its curvy lines, buttons, while myself personally loved the up/down and menu keys on the 6150 for their retro aesthetics and resemblance to the 8110. But those horizontal lined 6 dots acting as speaker grills just always looked out of place too badly. They should have always been 2 lines of 3. Just as you can see in the image, and this grey should have been the default color for the phone. What do you think? If Nokia released this today, i'd be buying one straight away.

In 2003 Vice City entered my life, and 2004 Xmas i was gifted the last great Siemens phone, the SX1. Never mind its features, its colors, its design, it all just shouted Vice City :) And yes, my SMS tone, was the Mission Completed mp3 from Vice City. Have you had any VC wallpapers, tones on yours?

Nokia 6150 - 27 years of ownership, still looking and working like new. Fitted with a Polarcell 1800mAh battery, standby time seems never ending :)

What else could i add really? :)

I have been living in Vice City for 23 years now, and counting

You might think, this could be someone who just overdid gaming, or has some issues :D Let me explain. When the game came out, myself i got to play it in 2003 first. Needles to say, how much we loved the game. Propably many of you got to the point as well, when you explored the folders with the sound files, that has the police radio, the music played, when you enter the mall, the beach, etc. One afternoon i thought. I'm going for a nap, i'm gonna put the file "city" on the speakers on loop and fall asleep. So it's gonna feel exactly like being in the ocean view hotel. And it kinda did. But it also led to a great discovery. I'm very sensitive to noise when asleep, anything can wake me up. But don't mind the sound of the hair dryer, or the white noise malarky. And this wonderful sound file, blocks everything out. Any noise, people speaking, so no matter what goes on in the house, i can sleep. Fast forward to today, it's been my sleeping aid for 23 years now, and boy, i'm never moving out :)

Can you guess how these two bottles connect?

As tempereatures have reached 27 degrees now, i had to come to the conclusion, that while i still love old spice, i will have to wait, till the colder months do come back. I still enjoy the scent, but i find it slightly sickening in hot weather. On the other had, the postman just delivered my sauvage yesterday? Is it a sauvage though? Yes and no. Maybe it's something you thought about too. Old spice is a splash bottle. I want to spray it. Where do i find a good atomizer? They are not the best, can be pricey for what they are, and quite small. I want something with a good sprayer, and a better look. So i just got a brand new condition refillable sauvage bottle. It's been fully washed, cleanned, dried out. Ready to host its new friend. And get ready for september. If you have a crafty side, you can even wrap the bottle white, then decorate with stickers. And finally you got a great sprayer, for your beloved scent. Problem solved :)
