Brilliant exhibition on at the New Art Exchange at the moment! I love the cultural events and free cinema this not-for-profit venue offers too. Who’s been to some of the events here?

Jams in Notts 🎸🥁🎤

Anyone know of upcoming music jams? I used to go to JT Soar but haven’t been for a while.
Not looking for open mics, just the opportunity to jump in with some musicians and freestyle!

Who else went to the Monet or Van Gogh “immersive” experience? 👀👎

Went today as a birthday gift from a friend…have to say I was very underwhelmed! Aside from two rooms which played videos on loops (one 8 min and another 36 min), and a photo opportunity room, there bead really nothing else to it (and few seating opportunities)🤷🏼‍♀️😕 At the end there was a poorly lit space with an array of blunt pencils for people to sketch or fill in a lined drawing, followed by a corridor of merchandise. Was a bit disappointed with the experience. What we’re your thoughts?

Just spent 5 days in QMC emergency department…

Firstly, massive shout out to all the staff -
Putting in intense hours under extreme conditions, and having to deal with the disgusting abuse and racism that they face. During the time I was in there, there was countless people kicking off and being aggressive to the staff.
Corridor care is a crazy thing! I was lucky to be in a private space for the most part, but there were 22 people - mostly old people, packed along the corridor where I was for days on end, with no privacy, darkness, and little hope of being moved onto a ward.
The wait time to get onto a ward was between 3 and 7 days!!
What have your experiences been of A&E??

Edit: Special shout out to RAF Mark who helped calm me, and also told me me about the extra care he puts into his role! Respect.
