I'm overwhelmed by how Thai ladies treat us. I'm pampered. Sometimes to love. I've never been treated this well by escorts before, and like expected. In not more than 2 days, I fell for a woman. I saw her 4 times in 2 days. Then on the 3rd day I had strong feelings for her. Couldn't focus on work. The work I do is critical and affects lives and businesses. So I had to stay strong and mentally neutral.

Took a new girl and trying to get over that emotional connection. It's very hard. A friend told me to post here. I have no idea what mongering is and how it works. But I just happened to research it and found this sub.

Saw her a couple of times and now her face is flashing across my mind 24x7. I am in charge of very critical work even while on the trip, a lot of lives/businesses depend on me. I am a male in my 20s. Went to the pub crawl hoping to find some women as part of a pub crawl group in Khao San. I was drunk. All of a sudden an Indian uncle touches my hand in a rather strange way. I ignore it.

The next day, went to the same pub and went close to the dance floor. One of the guys told me he was gay and asked if I was gay, now this guy (an old uncle) was beside him and standing. There were a bunch of these guys, surrounding me, and I got a bit anxious. I am not sure what their intention was, so I moved away.

I have no hate for LGBT. But, I wonder why do some gays try to hit on us straight guys (this is straight up harassment). I am straight, and I haven't dropped any hints of being gay in terms of dressing nor been to a gay club.

Any activities that are value for money that you recommend as a solo traveller to meet more people (of the opposite sex)?

Like pub crawls, cooking local cuisines, etc.

My trip is roughly of 2 weeks.

On a 2 week visit to Thailand in the last week of June. Planning to stay in Hostels, enjoy local food and maybe rent a car to visit all these cities. Kind of a road trip.

The cities I planned are Bangkok, Pattaya and Koh Phangan (for FMP?).

Is it a bad time to go there?

Anything I'm missing? Any sight seeing/activity recommendations?

It was popular for authentic Chinese. Whatever happened to it.

I have tried Haringhata frozen one. It tastes awful. Even after boiling some odours like gorur moot fills my kitchen. It's totally unpalatable. This one was farm bred.

Based on local recommendation, I bought some from Bobby da in a jhopad patti near the Guruteg school. He probably scammed me and the meat was even worse smelling. It was tasting and smelling like ammonia/urine. This one was desi suar with some hairs still stuck to the skin. He claimed it was freshly cut but he took it out from the freezer too.

After two bad experiences, I don't have enough courage to try anything more based on local recommendations from people. So I wanted Redditor opinion. Where do you buy your kancha suor ?

I love cars, and driving in general. But there are no meetups or car enthusiasts groups in Durgapur. Kolkata has the Long Drive From Kolkata group and many Teambhp meetups happen from time to time. However, nothing as such here. So I am planning to start something from the ground up.

The plan is a drive to somewhere like these places, have lunch or tea/coffee then come back

I''ve stayed in multiple cities like Bokaro, Ranchi, Dhanbad, Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai, Siliguri, Kathmandu (Nepal), etc. Most of these places had some form of attraction like Jharkhand had hill stations, gokarting, adventure stuff like trekking. Places to hang out, meet strangers, and have fun.

Unfortunately, when I finally settled here for sometime due to lack of job opportunities, life turned 360.

I found it boring and polluted. If anything, it felt stagnant since forever.

On top of that, the pollution. I am allergic to dust, and pollutants so my nose is always blocked. Can't even get fresh air. I have lived most of my life here and this problem never went away. I guess it got worse.

The roads too are dilapidated. Not a single road without bad patches.

Well, I would have given it another chance if at least there was good street food. But Food too is so so. Most of the Chinese I tasted except Hong Kong has been bland. Even Hong Kong has raised prices and reduced quality. There's not a single Biriyani outlet that serves authentic Awadhi/Kolkata style biriyani. And the chicken chap is a weird concoction of stomach upset inducting spices. Only good part is it's dirt cheap.

What are you all doing here? Where do you getaway on weekends? Anything worth enjoying here?😂
