Are there any games out there that are similar to Dragon Age but set in a modern era? Ive always thought it would be cool to see the interaction of magic and modern technology.
My medallion got thrips and ended up getting her head cut off. There's new growth (accidentally tore off the one on the right 😭) but I'm worried about how black the tops are. Can these regrow? If so, tips on best way to go about it?
Looking for a recommendation for a tile floor repair. We had a handyman do our floors a few years ago, and ever since the grout cracks and the tiles shift. The guy we used is great and the rest of his work has been great, and he's tried to fix it several times. I want to be sure I go with a good company so that we don't end up in the same position, but I have no idea how to tell who's good. I can't gamble with this again.

My marble queen has been happily climbing the walls for a while now. She's gotten tall enough that I worried about the top leaves getting enough light and added a light that can be angled up at them. Lately the leaves toward the base of the vine have been yellowing. My gut says that they are getting too much light, but I'm not 100% sure. Because this thing is literally rooted to the walls, assessing the roots is going to be extremely difficult.
Also, the leaves towards the top are getting really big with some stunning variegation. Part of me wants to chop the vine on the right and propagate it into a new plant on a pole, but I'm really wary to get overzealous here .I can deal with the dry wall damage from the roots, but I don't want to hurt the mother plant if I can avoid it. I also do not want these lush vines on the wall that have bare stems by the pot.
What do you guys think? Too much on the older parts of the vines? Should I chop? She's already had many other plants propped from her, but I'm eyeing those top leaves with a lot of greed.
Been trying to figure out the best way to light plants on my mantel. Lofted ceilings so that's not an option. I'm trying to minimize the number of lights needed. There's not a ton of space on the floor right around the hearth, so floor lamps would be tricky. There is an outlet near each side. Id like to find something that looks nice. I like the look of a lot of the light fixtures with grow light bulbs, but I worry that it would be hard to cover the mantle with something hanging. We really would like to avoid drilling into the brick.
Just repotted my medallion calathea and found these little guys on there. Thrips? What do I do? I'm surprised because the plant has been thriving and doing really well, but obviously I now have a bunch of plants that have been exposed to whoever this is and need to get on top of it.
What does Florida green actually want? All the photos I see of more mature plants are these long skinny things staked with some sort of support, but they never get full or seem to look like they're meant to vine the way a heartleaf or micans does. What's the best way to let it grow so it can be its best self?

This dendrobium has been doing meh for a bit now. Leaves have been yellowing and dropping, so I assume this growth is a keiki? What do I do with it? Any tips on the mother plant? She's under a grow light and in an orchid bark/perlite mix in a self watering pot (which has worked well for other orchids for me).
Our house was built in 2000. We had the original linoleum replaced with tile a couple of years ago. There are a few places where the grout has cracked repeatedly, despite being repaired. We're now on the fourth or fifth time. Last time, the installer pulled up the tiles and did work underneath and from the basement.
At this point, I'm worried this is a much bigger problem that's going to involve massive work to the subfloor or foundation or something. Apparently a neighbor in our HOA had the same issue, though they never said what ended up happening. We do live within 10 miles of an active quarry, in case that's relevant.
I have no idea what kind of expert I need to call. Another flooring contractor? An inspector? I just have no idea.
About 6 months ago, I fell down the stairs while carrying my three year old. Ankle just twisted halfway down. I think I went head over heels. I dropped my kid. As we were falling, I remember thinking, "I've killed him. He's dead."
Thankfully, we were both fine. Kid had not a bruise or scratch on him, and I was fine other than being sore for a few days.
BUT. Every single time my kid goes down the stairs, I have a full body, visceral panic response. He goes down the stairs on his own at daycare. I know this. He can go down the stairs. I KNOW this. He even sits on his butt most of the time with me, so even less risk. But that moment at the top of the stairs, right before he takes a step or sits down, my entire body goes into complete fight or flight. Even typing this, my toes are going numb.
I am on meds. I know the answer is that I need to go back to therapy (been in and out since I was a teen, just currently in an off period). But I also feel like I know what I need to do. Take deep breaths, mantra, grounding exercises. I also just need to get over it. Eventually he will be far steadier and I wont be as panicky. I just need to get through it in the meantime.
Idk if I'm looking for advice or just to get this out.

I repotted a bunch of my alocasias into self watering pots about a month ago, and all but one of them are very pleased. My single leaf pink dragon finally put out another leaf and has a third starting, my polly has two new leaves, odora variegata has put out two or three. Then there's this thing, whose roots are trying to make a jail break. Do I leave her as is or repot?
I don't remember where I saw someone talk about putting cling wrap over the top to up the humidity, but I figured I'd try it. No idea if it makes a difference, but I'm not fixing what isn't broken.
