yesterday a friend of mine convinced me to get these 3 older battlefield games in order to understand his talk about Battlefield being a washed GOAT franchise. We started with Battlefield 4 and i was like 'oh, alright. its quite nice but i'd just continue to play BF6'. He told me about levelution and all, and overall i liked it but i couldnt quite understand the GOAT part about it... this was until the BF3 and BF1 downloads got finished and we hopped into a server. After 5 minutes of BF3 i understood the hype and cult around it. the feeling and immersion of this game is out of this world. nailed the aesthetics and graphics. i was NOT expecting a game this beautiful, considering it's from 2011!! however, we stopped playing shortly after because the servers started to empty out..

so we closed BF3 and started BF1 and this is where my mind got completely blown away. NOTHING had me prepared for this interactive movie called Battlefield 1. i didn't care about kills or objectives.. i was in there writing my own movie with explosives and gas bombs going off left and right. the sound design genuinely is peak, no doubt about it. i also have no doubt about Players being willing to return to this game if they'd release some new maps or a DLC. BF6 was my first ever Battlefield and, frankly, after playing BF1 i have to say BF6 doesnt hit the same spot for me already. it is quite possible for me to have lost the appetite for BF6 after playing BF1 for such a short time. There are levels to game design, and BF1 sits at the very top. Mesmerizing game. WHAT WAS I DOING BACK THEN AND HOW COULD I MISS ALL THIS BF1 ACTION

So for context: we were talking about the world while being stoned and of course things like Israel, Judaism or epstein and his network eventually came up... So far so good because we did share the same opinions on most of the things, but when it became a bit more serious, he told me after a misunderstanding (the misunderstanding being a perceived generalization of jews from my side) 'you do know I'm Jewish, right?'.. To which i answered 'yea of course dude, come on. It's obvious'. After this he became visibly irritated and it became evident he wanted the evening to end right there. And i can't describe it properly as to why, but i knew he was irritated because i knew he was Jewish all along, something he never told me though all these years. As you can guess, it's completely irrelevant to me, otherwise we wouldn't have this tight longterm friendship. Now my question is why would he react in this way to my 'reveal of knowledge'? Did he intentionally try to keep this secret? If yes, why? He didn't tell any of our other friends that he's Jewish as well. Since then we did meet up multiple times, but i noticed he started with lowkey jabs towards me in group settings and started with a kind of offensive humor he didn't have use before. How can it be that my knowledge of him being Jewish hit him in such a way that he became subtly toxic??? I tried to talk about him in person about this but he just kept reflecting while keeping this subtle toxicity. I just don't understand why.

i've just recently found Daleka Obala on YouTube after checking out Dino Dvornik and i don't know why but some Daleka Obala songs filled me with a pure feeling of nostalgia even though i have 0 connections. especially with Kurve and Noc je prekrasna. but also, when it doesnt create this weird nostlagic vibes, it tends to seem quite funny with their laid back videos and the singer's smirk. the smirk also makes me wonder if the singer is some kind of chad cult figure... he has something in the way he moves and looks, like he is known for being completely laid back while everything eventually falls for him.

i have 2 completely different friend groups, one of them being filled with the typical 'alpha males' who do combat sports or are active in elite music academies... the other is made up of old friends who don't participate in competitions and game a lot. the humor in the first group really feels like what people tell about balkan humor. a very open way of joking, may be it with stereotypes or with things you know the other is a bit uncomfortable with...a type of humor that hardens you a bit (something that has grown to me because it comes with a sense of accountability without being bullying or nasty). the other group is so much more on the political correctness type of humor policing where they try to berate you because you may hurt the feelings of others while not knowing what the person they try to defend actually feels.

Warum wird Nationalismus mit der Einstellung, dass man anderen überlegen sei und sie auch abwertet, gleichgestellt? Wäre das nicht eher der Chauvinismus oder Jingoismus? Und warum sind Pan-Nationalismen/Panbewegungen plötzlich nicht mehr von Natur aus negativ? Als sich die deutschen Staaten im 19. Jahrhundert zusammengetan haben, war das aufgrund einer Art des Nationalismus, aber nicht der Nationalismus von heute. Es war die Anerkennung starker Gemeinsamkeiten, ohne die Einstellung man sei eine überlegende Kultur oder Nation. Das gleiche war auch bei Jugoslawien der Fall. Eine neutrale Anerkennung einer geteilten Identität. Der Nationalismus der Schweizer hatte ebenso nichts mit einer abwertenden Ideologie zu tun. Warum also wird Nationalismus automatisch mit einer negativen Haltung gegenüber anderen gleichgestellt? Damit man überhaupt den modernen Nationalismus ausleben kann, braucht man doch an erster Stelle eine neutrale Form des Nationalismus als Basis, um von dort aus die Gefühle weiterzuentwickeln. Ich kann verstehen, falls diese Neudefinierung als Reaktion zum Nationalsozialismus formuliert wurde, aber diese Neudefinierung wirkt jedoch wie pure Propaganda, um die Basis für darauffolgende Angriffe auf die generelle Idee einer nationalen Identität zu kreieren. Angesichts heutiger Entwicklungen vielleicht auch gar nicht so unwahrscheinlich. Den meisten europäischen Nationen wurden mittlerweile jahrelang ihre Identität und Geschichte aberkannt, relativiert und dämonisiert. Es wird auch gleichzeitig immer weniger über Franzosen, Briten oder Deutsche geredet und immer mehr über 'Europäer' oder 'der weiße Mensch' oder 'der Westen'. Es wird immer mehr kollektiviert, während diesem Kollektiv konstant mehr Schuld zugesprochen wird, welche dann gleichzeitig auf alle Europäer oder 'Weiße' übertragen wird und plötzlich trägt der Schwede die Schuld der Belgier im Kongo. Oder gibt's was massiv Offensichtliches, das ich einfach komplett übersehen habe in dem ganzen hier?

RIOT RANT ALERT: idk how it looks for you but my Arena experience is borderline unplayable. Everytime i queue up for arena i am well aware that i'll be able to play only one game per hour since the majority of the hour goes to getting held hostage by the client, playing back to back with AFKs, getting held hostage again and then proceeding to be in low prio queue because the client held me hostage again. if i FF a game because we had an AFK in the team, the client tends to do something funny: it throws me 10min later back into the very same lobby we have FF'd in. it has become a complete nightmare as it is right now. match accepted sound effect still playing when in game tends to happen quite often as well. it's an eternal loop of bugs, afks and client hostage situation. Yes, i know a normal Arena game goes for just under 30 minutes, so you wont be able to play over 2 games per hour but 1 game per hour while the other 30-40min just get wasted by complete bs is an insane experience. i've not been this rattled since my CSGO days. absolutely disgusting. i hope it's not possible to lose the Honor 5 mark due to 'bad behavior' because it's just straight up the Client's fault.
