I know cutlass is rough BUT it runs fantastically and from what ive seen theres not much frame rust. Ive tinkered with it for years now, me and my grandfather used it as the "tester" for the paint he used to restore an old C10 years ago. I hope to get it running by the time im out of college. Im a mech e student as of Thursday so by the time i come back i should have a bit more mechanical knowledge than i had working on it in high school

I'm not saying all of it because engines are infinitely more efficient now than they were back then. I'm specifically referring to the general body styles. I hate saying cars have "soul" because I think it's too undefined, but this era of cars is a lot more visually appealing compared to modern cars.

Car trucks, utility coupes, whatever you wish to call them. Now, just from the American POV, this genre of car died in the '80s. The Ranchero (pictured above) was kind of replaced by the Ranger. This was fine because the early Rangers were about the same size as the Rancheros. As time went on, the Ranger kind of ballooned in size, as did the other trucks in its class (Tacoma and the S10, which kind of got replaced with the Colorado). So, car manufacturers started making SUV truck hybrid things, which were kind of the same principle but in the modern day, and they sell really well (Maverick, Ridgeline, Santa Cruz). However, they're still SUVs, so they're still bloated. This is all what the States have been through. Now, in the land down under, utes were still being made...until 2017 when GM shut down Holden.

Some extra hate in this post: Fucking WHY is Ford's new Maverick EV going to be called the Ranchero? It's not a Ute at all; it's just another SUV unibody truck instead of being the size of a long sedan.

I'm very new and getting started with off-roading, but the truck pictured above currently has a low-gear transmission. Because of the amount of time it would take to change it (either re-gear or a new transmission), I figured I'd rather ask, as it's the first thing I really need to do.

By the way, it runs, the frame is fine, the suspension is fine—everything is fine, but obviously, I'll need to sink some TLC into it.

A Ford Ranger Raptor for doing things that need more ground clearance and suspension give (off-roading). The Mach-E GT (no, I'm not calling it a Mustang; as much as I like EVs, it is not a Mustang) for daily driving and for the occasional joyride. An F-150, specifically my grandfather's, it would be as a workhorse to haul and tow things, just like it's used for now.

The majority of the characters are really really really bland especially optimus. Knockout and Smokescreen are really good but they're the ones with the most characterisation. It's fine but its not the best show like half the fandom says.

Optimus is by far the worst character in the show (outside of miko). He is a bland platitude vending machine that shows next to zero emotions.

They took soundwave and made him this silent but deadly tentacle monster of a character thats just boring.

The humans are either boring in Jack and Ralph's case or a semi racist stereotype with Miko. Her parents are the stereotypical overbearing Asian parents and she's a fucking sociopath that in one episode takes Bulkhead on a joyride when he's barely lucid because she wanted to have fun.

They take the Predecons which are a combiner team in G1 and most depictions and made them a horde of dragon monsters. Predaking is cool but he's only relevant for a handful of episodes then he fucks off to who knows where.

They took bumblebee and turned him in the worst thing imaginable and made him this sad uwu puppy dog for half the show.

And for all the acclaim Prime Megatron gets he's just got a scary voice thats it he's boring outside of the growl Welker gave him.

Arcee has this weird thing with Jack that ranges from mother figure to a nigh pedophilic relationship with him. And the pedophilic stuff is even more obvious with Airachnid especially in secondary media like the old Prime game.

They make Nemesis Prime a fucking Bizzaro rip-off and he's only relevant in one episode.

And they don't have the balls to even call whats clealy Galvatron Galvatron
