🚨 NEED TO UNITE: It’s Time We Stand Up Against MAKAUT’s Broken System 🚨

Hey everyone,

It’s time we talk about the reality of what’s happening at our university. Many of you have likely seen the message circulating (referencing the points in Attached Below), and it perfectly captures the absolute mess we are dealing with. If we silently gulp down these issues, the university will only keep tightening the screws. Even our schools weren't this unnecessarily strict.

We are calling on all affiliated college students and main campus students to unite and stand against these practices. Here is exactly why we need to speak up:

❌ The Continuous Assessment (CA) System is a Joke

  • Zero Transparency: The entire marking process for CAs is a black box. The whole system runs on "word of mouth" rather than actual, verifiable metrics.
  • Hidden Allotments: There is absolutely no way for us to check the marks we were allotted out of 5 from the 30 marks (which consists of 25 CA marks).
  • CA Overload: Why are we forced to take 4 CAs when 2 should be more than enough? In an average semester lasting just 4-5 months, there is zero time to prep. You get a 2-week gap, and suddenly another CA pops up.

📉 Academic & Structural Incompetence

  • Chaotic Timelines: The academic calendar makes no sense. We have some semesters dragging on for 8 months, while others are crammed into a ridiculously short 3 months.
  • Flawed Mark Distribution: There is no proper weightage distribution across subject modules, and marks are not distributed in a healthy or logical manner.
  • Backdated Syllabus & No Placements: We are studying an outdated syllabus that is completely incapable of producing job-ready professionals. What is the point of all this extreme strictness when it doesn't even lead to placements?
  • Departmental Harassment: Why should a CS or IT student be forced to deal with harassment from out-of-touch faculties in the Mechanical department?

🚫 Inhumane Treatment During Exams

  • The incompetence has reached a point where basic human needs are being ignored. Today, we saw inhumane behavior, like invigilators stopping students from taking a simple bio break just to cover for the university's administrative failures.

What exactly are they showing this strictness for when the system itself is failing us?

We cannot let this continue. We need to assemble, voice our grievances collectively, and demand transparency, fair treatment, and a modernized academic structure.

Drop your thoughts, personal experiences, and college names below. Let’s get this thread trending and show the administration that we won't be pushed around anymore. ✊
