Is it possible to get honed blade in g2?
I want the skill for charge blade.

These games aren't that hard. Both completing GU g rank and currently doing 4U g rank hasn't been difficult. They are just fucking obnoxious. Right now in 4U I have a crit draw great sword build with 1100 raw. I get off lots of draw charge attacks and try to hit weak points or atleast the back legs. Yet every single quest has taken a minimum 30 minutes. The Seregios quest especially baffled me because I felt like I was doing pretty great the whole time with getting off attacks and it still took 40 minutes. Its to the point where I dont even wanna finish 4U anymore. This is so fucking ass. Honestly baffled by this since people always complained on how Iceborne quests took too long, but those never really reached 30 minutes for me except on very hard monsters, yet these monsters take forever to kill even without the ShitClaw mechanic.
The higher tier monsters (deviljho, gore) do about 3/4 of my healths consistently for most attack. A regular Seltas in the G rank quests took me 18 minutes to kill. Most monster, even when playing very well and getting off many attacks with my Crit Draw Great sword (with 1100 attack) still take like 30 minutes to kill. Expedition monsters usaully leave very fast from my experience. Unless the health isn't that high in expeditions, I dont see how this is ever possible for a solo player. G rank in generally has just been bullshit with the health bars. No matter how well I play, even when It feels like I'm dominating a monster. it always takes minimum half an hour for each monster. I dont see this happening.
Kiranico is nice but it doesn't have enough detailed info sometimes. Like it won't tell me the exact values of skills like attack up, or tell me how to unlock certain quests without a direct prerequisite. I want a more detailed wiki with direct stats mostly (also itd be nice if someone could tell me the attack up skill values).
I unlock the gr 100 exotics, and the jump and difficulty is even more insane than the hr 6 supremacy monsters. Their attacks are faster, wider, and all almost oneshot. I only have Donru armor st this stage with an orb weapon, 1500 defense, 25 my missions done, yet it feels like I'm supposed to be WAY stronger than I am.
I kinda know what skills I want, but there are such an absurd amount of options that I'm scared on wasting my points on armor that is suboptimal or straight up won't work. I used this guide for pre G rank but can't find a continuation of it: https://docs.google.com/document/u/0/d/16ej2fucgASg9vgHLt2rjFbu\_nu0KGlWB3b0\_DyC9NTM/mobilebasic?pli=1
Something like it would be nice.
HR 5 wasnt that bad, but HR6 feels almost impossible. I play gunlance, and this weapon just can't keep up. The monster I'm on right now is Voljang, and he, like all other hr 6 monsters, has insane movement, instant charges, and cross ups that break my block. If I try to focus of evading he'll do an unreactable instant charge, if I try focusing on block he'll cross up my shield. If I try power blocking I'm put in so much ending I can hardly punish him (and he also has some hp drain that that can't be drained by antidote or nullberries???).
These monsters just give me barely any time to actually do anything more than a single poke. The only other hr 6 monster I beat was Toridcless and Unknown, and that was by running like crazy the whole time and going in during the miniscule openings to use Wyverns fire. Repeat until death. I tried doing this strat with Toestra, Voljang and Periapuria, but the first 2 give even less openings and the latter start full on one-shotting me when enraged.
Ive tried so many different strats and even using the Lance but nothing really works. These monster don't even feel like they were meant to be soloed, especially since most items like flashes and traps stopped being effective. What can I do?
Edit: I did it. The normal non supremacy monsters weren't that hard and only took at most 3 tries, but I had to use halk pots and get help for the duo monsters and other supremacies.
How can I increase the number of item pouch spaces (if I can) 2 pages is far too few. I'm in HR 6 right now and need a lot of items to help myself.
And with smoke bombs, how am I even supposed to use them??? I throw them out and stand in them and the monster always perfectly tracks me. What do I do
The Wyvern Fire Storm mode just doesn't feel as good. The shelling is so much damn slower and punishable and I dont feel like I do as much damage as I would if it just did one big Super Wyvern Fife with Earth style (though it's much harder to tell because of lack of dmg numbers in old gen). I do play wide. So maybe I could see Storm being better if I was on Normal shelling, but here it just feel awful.
They say it only requires Hr1 and I'm HR4, yet I dont meet requirements.
I always throw them to make sure they are in line of sight with the monster, yet they only work like 50% time, even with the monster look right at them.
Ive tried the gunlance in 4U and FZ (just earth style since I'm in early game) and it feels so goddammit awful. The main problem is the ungodly ending on all shelling attacks preventing blocking or evading. It leaves me open for so long that I feel like I just did a charge attack with the Greatsword. This combined with the shitty evade distance makes every action feel far, far too committal than what it should be.
I've still managed to have fun with it in 4U because Slam into Full Burst feels nice and almost always stagger the monster, but that's in low rank, and everyone knows how big GL damage falls off later. It all around feels pretty terrible.
Ive spent 5-10 minutes of the first quests just finding th monster so I can paintball them. This is absolutely goddammit miserable, even more than GU since their are no cutscenes to lock monsters in one area and presumably no psychoserums, so I literally just keep running throughout every single area over and over looking for a monster that dies in like 5-10 minutes. HALF of my time is looking for it.
My gunlance says earth style. How do I change it.
I have the game working on Steam Deck now but there are 3 issues:
Another thing is that some assets and textures failed to load one time and the rain textures look off, but that could be just a one-time issue adn how the game just looks, which is fine. I'm also wondering if I would have to download the patches that make the game more feasibly grindable
I followed the steps 1-3 on this guide (https://www.reddit.com/r/MHF/comments/1lvwdc4/guide\_frontier\_setup\_for\_steamdeck\_pewpewdojo/) and still get this error when trying to open the game on Steam Deck (I am using proton 9.0.4 and put in the launch code)
Is it double investigations with good talisman amounts, or one of the event quests that give the good talisman orbs (orange ones)?
Compared to VS Community, the intellisense for VS Code is not only more aggresive and annoying with its suggestions, but consistently more inccorect, far more so than VS Community. And when I say incorrect, I'm not talking about just making a bad guess, I'm talking about it just completely making up variables or even entire enum classes that don't exist, even when I already had a variable created for the situation. The way it just makes up and hallucinates answers makes me think its completely AI powered, but I have no idea how to check or disable that.
I've been trying to do it with Gunlance. I've got his moveset down to where I can confidently not die, but the main problem is damage. I can't even get to the Nercylla phase before the timer is more than half way down (and I'm pretty sure the the clone phase is at 50% hp, so math isn't in my favor). I basically need a weapon the does more damage against Omega than Gunlance while being somewhat safe. Right now the best candidate I've seen is Hunting Horn.
I wanna switch since I've done almost everything (and need to drive off the desire sensor so I can get a Magazine/Attack jewel) so I want to switch weapons. But in Wilds the gunlance is actually good for the first time ever so I'm having a hard time figuring what to swap to.
