I was at a car boot sale earlier and saw a Pixie Hollow play set! Idk if this was just a random play set or a specific character’s house but I’ve never seen the play sets irl! I almost got it to display my dolls but I have no where to put it :,)
It was already quite a feat for me to dye polyester, especially since it was my first time dying anything, so I’m happy about that, but my items are different materials so they took to the dye differently and I’m curious if dying the lighter one would make it the same color as the darker one? For the first round of dying, my packet came with 1 color intensifier but I wouldn’t be able to use that in this second round. Thoughts? I’m ok with leaving it but I did want them to be the same color :/
Yesterday I posted that a new Disney Fairies project has been green lit titles Tinker Bell and The Glitter City.
It was my first time hearing of it🤷♀️ I woke up to this today and it’s really true! I don’t like the title, but I like the idea of a glitter city so it sounds very pretty already. I’m also very pleased to hear it will be animated, please let me know if you remember this or don’t, but I remember there was serious talks of a live action Tinker Bell movie? Maybe I’m making that up though.
I love the aesthetic of the Disney Fairies so I’m just happy something I like is getting one of these reboots/more content.
However! I am really nervous if our classic gang will be joining us? Or if they will go back to the original source material. Or do all new characters other than Tink…. I also hope the story is well written. I don’t want some rushed, barely cared for slop like Rise of Red or Wicked Wonderland. I just want a good story from Disney.
I haven’t fact checked, but I’m wondering if anyone here knows more? This better be animation like the previous films, just elevated.
I’m happy the Disney fairies are getting a revive, I had a theory this would happen with them giving the franchise more content, Merch, and putting them back in the parks, but this is the first I’m hearing of The Glitter City. I’m not convinced by the title either.
With all the spin offs and sequels Disney is doing right now, I do not want them touching my faves. They’ve already fucked descendsnts, I don’t care for camp wrong but I haven’t heard good things, and I’m just over it😭 as much as I want Tinker Bell to have another life, I feel like our iconic crew is gonna be scrapped and we are gonna have a new one, the lore of the original is gonna be fucked with, and I’m so concerned that the writing for the actual plot and story will be weak asf. Thoughts?
With the film being only HADES, it has me wondering how Elysium will play into this whole era. Will Elysium not be featured at all in the film? It sounds like it. I don’t know how tied to the double album the film is, but the fact that the film is based around 1/2 albums is a bit odd to me, but it’s not a bad thing 🤷♀️
The second I heard that this era is gonna be a double album PLUS a film, I thought, “oh she’s doing two albums, so two tours. she can get 2 tours worth of funds for the film” which is probably still true, but I also saw someone say she’s doing 2 albums to fill her contract with Atlantic, which sounds even more true.
I’m also curious and cautious that the film is not a musical. Since Atlantic pushed for all K-12 songs to be in the previous film, I think it was a precaution to make it a non-musical so that doesn’t happen again. HOWEVER, I really struggle to trust Mel’s writing can support an entire film. This is just my opinion, but I’ve analyzed Mel’s writing, film script and her storybooks, and Mel’s writing isn’t very strong. She has great ideas for themes to talk about, but the execution of said themes is where stuff gets convoluted and distracted. I just hope she has someone helping her write. I also pray to god she gets acting classes…her best acting work is through music and this film won’t have any for her to act to so..like I said I’m cautions. Her scene work in K-12 was a great try but so much fell flat. Again, my opinion, this isn’t hate 🖐️😐🤚
Anyhow, I’m just curious on peoples thoughts on this. I always think ahead for Mel’s projects because her team are awful at planning. Im aware we truly won’t know until it’s released, but I wanna know what people think with what we know right now.

We open with a girl playing with a dollhouse in her attic. She runs off and the dolls come to life. Cry Baby (CB) tells us how her mom is a drunk, dad’s cheating, and her brother smokes weed. But outsiders think they are a perfect family.
I never realized that “Don’t let them see what goes down in the kitchen” is Sippy Cup foreshadowing! I think that was the intention, in the music video she is pretending to cut into a live bunny so it could literally just be for rhyming purposes that happened to line up with SC
The girl comes back up to play and CB tells everyone to assume positions. I’m sure this is just symbolism of people coming over to their house and having to be a perfect family. I never actually thought of the implications of them being dolls in this MV, again I know it’s symbolism, it’s just funny to think abt.
CB taunts the girl and…turns her into a doll? The family walks at her and she is back to being a human girl. Other than the creepy factor, nothing really happened? I think this would have hit harder if the girl was maybe being rough with her toys? Cause it seemed like we were teaching this girl a lesson but why? She’s totally innocent 😭 maybe if we saw her parents telling her “don’t go in the attic!”, and she broke the rules, then it would be a bit more deserved? I know it’s just the peak of the mv so there has to be a climactic part, but this is what I mean by over analyzing
The girl runs off and the dollhouse closes.
The storybook page is pretty much just the first verse of the song with different rhymes, it has a way better rhyming cadence though.
Summary:
Obvious one of the most iconic Mel MV’s to ever exist. Mel has described CB as an album that talks abt kids who go through adult things and childhood trauma. Dollhouse is a perfect representation home-life childhood trauma. There’s songs later on that I think take it too far, but we will get there when we get there. Dollhouse is a great continuation on Cry Baby’s story.
Hihi!! I did 2 projects on here, overanalyzing PORTALS, K-12, and now Cry Baby! I’ve studied storytelling for many years and I find it fun to apply those skills to stuff I like! If that isn’t for you, please don’t misunderstand this as hate. Cry Baby is one of my favorite musical projects EVER. It’s coming from a place of respect and reflection. I’m also aware that nothing is that deep, I just find this fun🤷♀️
I’ll be using the music videos, and storybook that was provided in the CD, I’m not sure if there’s another one with a different edit, but that’s the one I’ll be using. I’ll be abbreviating stuff like Cry Baby➡️CB. Please feel free to leave your thoughts down below and enjoy!
We open with Cry Baby’s mom, she is pregnant and about to give birth. Bunny-headed doctors help her. I’ve always wondered; are these humans with a mask on or actual bunny-human hybrids? It’s not important, but it’s fun to wonder, especially because they are reoccurring.
The second this baby is born, mom wants a cig, and has her kid-son light it for her, incredible non verbal characterization and such a jarring visual.
The nurse has Empath eyes?! This is the first time we see them! We don’t see her use powers tho. I’m sure the black eye thing started out as a stylistic choice. As time went on, for K-12, she made it a power thing.
Mom says, “Oh god, she’s a Cry Baby” which the son mistakes as an official name, and signs the birth certificate with “Cry Baby”
We see how CB is neglected and given the bare minimum from her mother who day drinks and frankly, bullies her baby.
As she starts getting upset, her toys start coming to life. I doubt this early on, Mel intended this as a sign of powers, still interesting tho. A Teddy Bear starts bullying her, possibly hinting at the song? She starts crying and fills her room with tears.
We see a dollhouse with tears pouring out of the window, definitely a hint to the next MV. However, that MV takes place in the attic of another home. The dollhouse in this mv seems to belong to CB. Still foreshadowing tho.
The storybook page for this song is just describing how sad she is. It tries to do a rhyming thing but it doesn’t land. I didn’t realize the HADES book isn’t the first time she has done a rhyming thing, it didn’t rlly land well in HADES either imo, but let’s save that for another analysis.
Summary:
This is a great intro to the universe and the characters. We can tell CB was born into an unstable environment. I don’t LOVE how violent Cry Baby is later on. If anything, it’s just repetitive from a storytelling standpoint. However, looking back on this music video, and thinking of future ones like sippy cup, I can understand why Cry Baby is so violent, plus, it’s a hyper emotional baby, like ofc she’s gonna be violent. It just clashes with characteristics Mel tries putting on her later on.
We can also tell this universe isn’t normal, there’s bunny-headed and black eyed-nurses, toys that come to life, and girls who can cry an insane amount of tears. It’s a great hook to this story.

I wanna know how (particularly Europe) OG fans are feeling in 2026. Those who have been here since the VERY start and seen this all shake out.
I mainly mean with the canceled tour dates, and the announcement that pre production for the film is starting soon. Do we care? Are you shocked? Do you even want the film? For those who have been here a long time, this has happened to us SO many times it’s actually just…ridiculous…
I’m consistently in a weird middle ground with Mel. Im forever frustrated with her and her teams VERY poor and disorganized planning. I also just don’t love the turn her music is taking so ehh, I’m falling off. I also don’t think she’s that skilled of a storyteller from a script/book standpoint. Musically she can pull it off, but once it gets to her books and the K-12 scenes, it just doesn’t land. I took an analytic look at the story of K-12 for a project on here and was genuinely shocked to see how poor the story was. It took my rose colored glasses off big time, and I now really want to see improvement in her storytelling skills. This already seems really rushed. I doubt there’s time for multiple drafts of the script. Especially with Elysium not being finished. What I want from Mel is a normal and smooth album roll out. She hasn’t done that since K-12, and even then, with the film tied to it, that era lost her hella money.
This movie stuff is a passion project. She’s a music artist first. Sure she can do extra stuff, there’s nothing wrong with that, but it has ALWAYS impacted the main point, the music. I get a film needs LOTS of attention, but she constantly keeps trying to have her cake and eat it too, and the fans are left in the dust because of it, AND Mel doesn’t even get to do what she wants 😭

On the list of concert dates on ticket master, London and Manchester are no longer listed. Though on the “Concerts in UK” page, they show up, HOWEVER, when you click them, you can’t see the tickets. I have been checking these tickets daily because I’m on the fence about going, there have been consistently 55-68 tickets left and I thought after today, surely there would be a big drop. I saw there were about 38 tickets left? And now I can’t check anymore…what do we think this means? Canceling London seems kinda crazy…London goes hard for its music artists. I don’t mean to discredit the first round of canceled shows, my heart HURTS for y’all and I know y’all were so excited to go, not to mention people who got extra transport and hotels/places to stay that might have been non refundable. Not to mention people who buy/make outfit for shows 😭
I also don’t wanna fear monger…but why is this happening?
I COULD BE MISSING VITAL INFO! Please educate me if I’m wrong, but Mel has only said the film will NOT be a musical, which means it’s even less likely that it will be about this double album era.
With the recent news that multiple tour dates in Europe have been canceled, due to “challenging factors” (whatever that means) and not having enough time to spend on the film, I’ve seen lots of discussion for what this means for the film.
We know NOTHING about this film, only that it’s not a musical. (She said this in her interview for the TV network she performed for on NY) Her telling fans a main reason for cancelations is the film puts pressure on the film to be worth MULTIPLE canceled shows. I’m also seeing people waking up to how poor K-12’s actual story was, and realizing Mel really needs a hand with her script writing. So pressure is actively building up for this film. And fans don’t even trust that we are gonna get it or that it’s even gonna be good.
Even though it’s vague and still horse shit, I think they should have kept it at “challenging factors” and just kept the film out of it. Once again her and her team have proven they can’t plan for shit. I wasn’t even going to any of the shows that were canceled but I think this is really ridiculous and unfortunate. ELYSIUM isn’t even finished for Christ sakes.
