My Level 9 Salamence from Pokémon Moon is 100% legitimate
I wanted to share one of my favorite Pokémon: a legitimate Level 9 Salamence that I caught myself in Pokémon Sun/Moon using the SOS encounter method.
For those who don’t know, on Route 3 in Sun/Moon, you can chain SOS calls from Bagon, and there is a very small chance that a wild Salamence will appear instead. Since the Bagon on that route are around level 9–12, the Salamence that appears can also be caught at those low levels.
The encounter rate is extremely low (around 1%), making it a very rare and sought-after legitimate Pokémon. The odds are often compared to finding a shiny Pokémon due to how uncommon it is.
I caught this Salamence myself, and it has remained completely untouched and legal ever since. It’s definitely one of the coolest legitimate Pokémon I’ve ever obtained.
Does anyone else here own a legitimate low-level Salamence from the SOS method?
