There are a few bees but two are most obvious.
Just received email that Cincinnati Watch Co. will be at City Flea this Saturday. They are going to show off a GMT complication which they have never done before, and they are also showing off a new lady's watch.
I recently posted here looking for feedback on Beaucroft. The Element had caught my eye, but knowing very little about the brand, I wanted to hear from people with firsthand experience.
To my surprise, u/dlngr reached out and offered me his Midnight Blue Signature—not to sell, but simply so I could experience the joy of owning a Beaucroft. It was an incredible act of generosity from a fellow watch enthusiast who simply wanted to pass the watch along for someone else to enjoy and discover the brand.
I think this says something special about this hobby. It's a gesture that reflects the very best of this community.
So many conversations revolve around movements, specifications, finishing, and resale value. Those things certainly matter, but moments like this remind us that watch collecting is just as much about the people as it is about the watches. Someone saw a simple post expressing curiosity about a brand and decided the best introduction wasn't a review or a recommendation—it was putting the watch on someone else's wrist.
Every time I wear this Beaucroft, I'll be reminded not only of the watch itself, but of the generosity behind it. That's something far more valuable than any specification sheet.
To everyone who takes the time to answer questions, share advice, encourage newcomers, or extend an unexpected act of kindness—thank you. You're what makes this hobby so special. Have a blessed weekend!
swapped out the Navy black leather strap with this custom Ostrich leather strap.
I have been looking for another microbrand to support now that CW has gone in a different direction plus I already own 5 CW. Traska and Lorier were on my radar, but Traska's recent fumble with the Venturer turned me off. Lorier's poor responsiveness to contact, not sure if it was due to their recent acquisition, left me on the fence about them. I came upon Beaucroft and like the Element alot. Just wanted to hear if anyone have any experience with the brand and/or the watch, in terms of quality, wearability, and their customer service. I like the clean dial and that it doesn't have the silly word "automatic" on it. The colorways are also different than most. I am thinking of choosing between the Obsidian Black and the Ocean Blue. Any feedback, inputs are appreciated. Thank you.
Just received this Consort bracelet in very good condition. Love my Sealander with the OEM hybrid rubber strap but have always wanted to pair it with a bracelet. Thank you to u/CobblerMission3613 for the prompt delivery and sale of this bracelet. This is going to be on my wrist tomorrow.
Meaning to say "clothes" but can't edit the title.
Took a trip to Harry’s for some delicious and fresh fried seafoods.
In an effort to trim and cultivate my collection, I sold my AACHEN GRÜN LE. What a beautiful piece. Tough to get rid of any piece, let alone a Laco.
I have been looking to downsize my collection. But never really taken it seriously. So far this year, I sold 8 watches, but found myself buying 8. Decided to take this more seriously to help me downsize and to afford a grail watch for the wife. Need some help from Balls fans to see which one you would keep and which ones you would sell if you have these 5 Balls. I had 6 at the start of the year. Recently sold a Magneto S. Remaining are:
Trying to decide if I should keep 2 or 3. A pair of Balls sounds better than 3 Balls, but that would make my decision more difficult as I do like all 5 of these pieces. Which 3 would you sell? and which 2 would you keep? Thank you.
Are there any discount codes for Farer watches? Looking to purchase my first Farer watch. Just wondering if there are any discount codes available. Thank you.
Hi there, not sure if this post is allowed. Need some advice. I recently acquired a watch with a SW200 movement. I have the watch for almost two weeks. It seems to be running well. I got a timegrapher for Christmas this past year, so I figure I put it on there to check the health while I may still be able to return it. I tested it in 4 position: Dial up, 12 down, 6 down, and 9 down. I then take the average of the 4 readings. The rate seems great, approximately +4.5 sec/day. The beat error also seems acceptable at 0.15 ms. But the amp seems a bit low at approximately 213. The amp readings are: 224, 204, 220, 205 respectively. I have other watches with this movement, and they are all between 270~300. Prior to testing, I have had the watch for a week, wore in a three out of the 5 days, then I wound it fully, let it sit for about an hour before I started the test.
Question I have is, should I be concerned about the low amplitude? It is keeping good time, should I still be concerned about such low amplitude? Is this a sign of any issue with the movement? Thanks in advance for your feedback.

I happened upon the brand Serica about 2 months ago. I had kept a little spreadsheet on watches that I am on the fence about. The spreadsheet includes costs, specs, etc... Since the beginning of April, the Ref. 6190 Denali had gone from $1177 to $1185, to today's pricing of $1294. When it came from 1177 to 1185, it was reasonable, but when it increased by over $100 for the exact same watch, this is where the decision became easy for me. Looks like they raised the price of their entire line of watches. This price gouging helps make my decision easy. Will not be buying this watch or any Serica. Au revoir montres Serica.
Can you guess the watches from their lumes?
