as the title says, what is your favorite and least favorite lightstick?

I’ll go first! I love Seventeen’s 10th anniversary lightstick, it has beautiful colors.

my least favorite lightstick is enhypen’s lightstick. its is simple and there isn’t much variety to it, and as much as I do like simple, I like meaning behind lightsticks too, which I feel like enhypen’s lightstick lacks

I love both groups but I just expected a little more from enhypen!

hi, I’m a new WeFlip. stanned during eye-poppin’. when I first heard kickflip, I thought they would be similar to stray kids (not in a bad way, but as in kickflip having a lot of English lyrics like skz does now). Im pretty new to kpop, and have just started stanning this year, but whenever I listen to the popular 5th gen groups (ex, cortis, ILLIT, le sserafim, etc..) the majority I hear is autotune, English, and catchy hooks meant for YT shorts page (no hate to them, I stream their songs but my main point here is how most 5th gen groups really don’t sound like traditional kpop). KickFlip just opened the door for me to listen to older groups like SHINee, Girls Generation, and even soloists like IU. as I continue to listen to KickFlip, i just hope they stay with the current youthful, bright, and meaningful lyrics they have <3

I MEAN NO HATE ON THE GROUPS I MENTIONED. I’m just referring to kpop as of right now, transitioning to a more american, regular pop style For the international audienc.

so.. I’ve had this thought ever since Saucin became so popular and nexz started getting hate for ’copying’ Cortis for the ‘upgrade’ teaser and the whole Twitter hate trains over Nexz for no reason.. and JYP Has a history of having smaller groups at first then they become big (ex, twice, stray kids, et…), but since I realized nexz’s fanbase is somewhat young with a portion of it being a minority. nex2y has always been a positive and supportive fanbase of nexz but I cannot imagine nex2y being labeled as a toxic fanbase.. (ex, Stays, bunnies, and obv more groups that gets this stereotype) nexz is such a bright an positive group with amazing talent, and I hope nex2y can always be there for nexz and continue to support them

any thoughts on Nex2y?

hello fellow kpop stans! my mom recently asked me if i wanted to go to a BOYNEXTDOOR concert in LA, and I have mild interest in boynextdoor. Now I am quite new to stanning kpop, got into it this year, and BOYNEXTDOOR has always caught my interest, but I have never became a full Stan. onedoors, have any advice for purchasing tickets, like last minute deals? What’s their stage presence like? is it worth going to a BND concert? and for the biggest question of all, is it worth spending your money on BND?

Hi.. I am a younger army and more on the shy side, and I am going to the BTS concert in LA day 2. I really like trading photocards with people and I have no experience trading pcs. I have a few jimin pcs and ot7 pc and I want suga photocards since he’s my bias. Do I need to bring my binder in a Clear bag? any tips please on concert procedures would help so much, thanks in advance!

I’m a BTS fan, but I’m not even someone who considers myself ARMY, and I genuinely think some of the discourse surrounding BTS right now has gotten ridiculous.

First of all, I want to make something VERY clear: I do not think BTS are perfect. I’m disappointed in them too. I don’t particularly like the decision to attend Chris Brown’s concert, and I completely understand why people are uncomfortable with it. You are absolutely allowed to criticize BTS for that. You are allowed to say, “I think that was a bad decision,” “I’m disappointed,” or even “I don't want to support them anymore.” That is completely valid and better thing to do than just spam the group with hate.

What I don't understand is why some people immediately jump from criticism to “BTS DISBANDMENT PARTY 🥳🥳🥳” and then proceed to spam it everywhere.

Like... can we be serious for five seconds?

If you genuinely dislike BTS, that's fine. You don't have to listen to them. You don't have to support them. You don't have to call yourself a fan. But why are you spending so much time posting about a group you supposedly can't stand? At some point, just move on.

And there is also a difference between criticizing something that actually happened and spreading fake information to make the situation look worse. If BTS attended a Chris Brown concert, criticize THAT. Don't start making up fake collaborations, fake statements, fake celebrity reactions, or whatever else people are inventing for engagement. If your argument is strong enough, you shouldn't need to make things worse.

I also think people need to understand that liking someone's music does not automatically mean approving of everything they've ever done. Someone can enjoy an artist's music while disliking their actions. Someone can be a BTS fan while being disappointed in BTS. Someone can love an artist and still say, “I think they messed up here.”

That's called having nuance.

And this is where I think the “BTS disbandment party” thing gets especially annoying. BTS aren't some random group that appeared out of nowhere. You don't have to believe “BTS paved the way” in the most extreme, fandom-war way possible to acknowledge that BTS are extremely important to the history and global growth of K-pop.

A lot of idols have talked about BTS as an inspiration or influence. BTS's success helped create opportunities, visibility, and inspiration for artists who came after them.

That doesn't mean those groups owe BTS anything. It doesn't mean BTS created K-pop. It doesn't mean other legendary groups weren't influential. And it definitely doesn't mean BTS never makes mistakes and are always perfect.

That's what I mean when I say “BTS paved the way.” I'm not trying to say, “BTS invented K-pop and every other group should bow down to them as if they created the whole genre.” I'm saying their success helped create opportunities, visibility, and inspiration for artists who came after them.

And realistically, if BTS had never existed, we have no way of knowing exactly how the current K-pop industry would look. Maybe some of the same idols would've debuted anyway. Maybe they would've been inspired by someone else. Maybe certain groups would've sounded completely different. We can't know.

But what we DO know is that BTS inspired real people who went on to become idols themselves.

So when someone says “BTS should disband!”, I have the exact same thought every single damn time. “why are we celebrating the potential end of something that has meant so much to millions of people and influenced so many artists?”

You don't have to like BTS, You don't have to forgive them, You don't have to defend every decision they make, you don't even have to call yourself a fan or an ARMY

But you can criticize them without making that damn hashtag appear.

And this applies to the older controversies too. If you're talking about past incidents involving BTS and racism, I think it's completely fair to acknowledge that those incidents happened and that people were hurt by them. But BTS have also apologized for past mistakes. An apology doesn't magically erase what happened, and people don't HAVE to forgive them, but constantly dragging up something from years ago as if no apology or growth ever happened isn't exactly productive either.

Nobody perfect. Artists make mistakes, everyone does. but some fans always have to hold a grudge saying “____ DID THIS AND THAT SO THEY SHOULD DISBAND NOW”

And honestly, this is why I understand when people say they don't like K-pop fandom culture.

They don't necessarily hate the music. They hate the fandom, and this is exactly why.

Imagine discovering K-pop because you heard Gangnam Style, Dynamite, Butter, a BLACKPINK song, or some other song etc… and then getting interested in the genre... only to discover that people are fighting over which group is “better,” making hate comments over opinions, dragging unrelated groups into every rant, and telling entire groups to disband. (Aka fan wars)

Most people just want to listen to music and enjoy it like regular people.

I want to listen to BTS without opening an app and seeing “BTS DISBANDMENT PARTY” for the 500th time.

And before someone says I'm blindly defending them: I'm literally not. I already said I'm disappointed in BTS too, its definitely not worth babying and protecting BTS over just because they’re worldwide idols. I just don't think disappointment automatically means they should disband.

You can hold someone accountable for their actions without wanting their entire career destroyed.

You can dislike an artist without spending every day making this dumb hashtag.

You can criticize BTS while acknowledging their impact.

And if you're genuinely so tired of BTS that you want them to disappear**, just grow up.**

You don't have to make a trend out of it just for views.

Hi, for context, i’m getting a new binder to store more photocards. since I live in the US, albums typically cost $20-$25 per album. but I’ve also noticed that 2-3 photocards is a very common number in the albums and it’s going to take a very long time for me to fill up a binder that can store more than a hundred photocards, so im wondering which albums for boy groups are worth the best for buying that have amazing inclusions?
