also yes the design is based on ‘87 Shredder (the purple-ish color), Ch’rell and 2012 Shredder a bit, mostly for the damaged eye. but red eyes come from Ch’rell.

TMNT got me interested in Japanese martial arts so i visited the Samurai museum, hoping to find out some stuff about real ninjas… and i did…

it was definitely not as shown in pop culture and it’s fictional. real ninjas (shinobi) were nothing like our beloved turtles.

i think you know that already. it was new to me.

i also got to know how katanas and similar swords were made and had to buy miniature katanas… thinking of Leonardo obviously!
