Baltany S4046AH 1921
Baltany nails it again. The dial and case are beautiful and the hand wound ST1700 is pretty smooth.

This is probably a long shot but the seller doesn’t have any reviews or followers and the watch case doesn’t have any reviews. It’s not super cheap so idk if I should take the plunge or not. Anybody ever bought this one?
I’m assuming the L6040m lite birch is the same as the L6037 but with a miyota movement? They also call it the L6040m V3 on Aliexpress instead of “lite birch” so I guess those are the same as well? Idk why they have to make it so complicated lol. I’m just trying to make sure I get the V3 with Miyota on their website.
I really love the purple dial and case of the skyline but it doesn’t have an OTF clasp. I know the birch is pretty popular but I’m not sure how I feel about the birch dial. What are your thoughts?
I really like some of their designs but the prices are but higher than I’m used to. I’m really looking for something that’s higher quality than Cronos, Sugess, Baltany, IXDAO, or San Martin if possible. How do they stack up?
There’s a company I came across that rarely comes up in here and they’re not on the recommended list. They’re a little higher end but not over $1k and they were all original designs. I can’t remember the name of the brand for the life of me. Any ideas?
I was looking around and there are some really cheap ones and really expensive ones. I found one on Etsy called kings ransom that looked pretty good and the high dollar Artem straps. What’s your go too?
Are these any good?
I know the 1921 is kind of a dressy piece but it’s a drivers watch at the end of the day. I was thinking a racing strap might suit it well and dress it down a bit.
I’ve tried a few different kinds and haven’t found a real winner yet. I might try that titanium thorn but it is pretty expensive. What’s your go to?
Is it a reliable and keep good time?
I got the S6047 yesterday and I love it. The dial is beautiful, the lume is better than I expected and lasted all night, and the case is flawlessly polished and I don’t have to worry about scratches because it’s gardener steel. The leather strap is nice but the clasp is a little crunchy but I had planned on replaying the strap with a pilot strap anyway. A slam dunk overall.
How would you compare the Seagull ST1701 to Miyota 9s? I’ve been hesitant to get a Baltany without a Miyota 9 but that limits my choices quite a bit.
What are the differences between the V2 and V3 and is the V3 worth the extra $50?
I keep going back and forth on which one to get. I like the practicality of quartz but I love the charm and beauty of the mechanical movement. Which would be better overall?
I’m pretty oblivious to chronograph movements and there are so many differing opinions. I’ve heard the Seiko VK movements become permanently misaligned and the VS71 has the 24 hour subdial. The only other movement I’ve seen is the Miyota 6S20 but idk much about it yet. What is your favorite Quartz chronograph movements?
I’ve been back and forth on getting a chronograph and I need to fill that slot. I usually don’t go for quartz but I like the idea of a Seiko mechaquartz movement. The Milifortic looks to be about the cheapest option that I like the look of. Have any thoughts or other options for around $100?
Do you think the Tisell is worth getting over the Seestern? The Tisell comes with a Miyota 9015 which is nice but the Seestern is a tiny bit thinner.
I know it’s not exactly the same but I love it. I was big into bracelets but straps are so much more comfortable.
