pls tell me about career after iiser

Hii I passed 12th this year and I always wanted to study physics in college but i found out about IISER exam quite late and now I'm stuck between going to a private engineering college or taking a drop to prepare for IISER Exam next year

I'm ready to take drop but I dont have much idea about the future opportunities after a bs ms in physics.

Is it possible to get phd abroad from IISER and do you get a well paying job after that?

I'm not completely sure if I wanna go into research also so is it possible to learn other skills like coding along with the degree and get a job in tech field? do we get time after studies to learn other skills and do ppl from iiser find jobs in other non research fields if they have the capabilities for the job?

Please let me know guys, it might sound like I'm not into research but its just that I'm new to all this and wanna know what my options are before I commit myself to this journey

Need partial drop guidance

I passed class 12th this year and never really prepared much for jee. I want to prepare for JEE and IAT 2027 will it possible to crack these exams with partial drop for me? I'm really not sure in myself to take full drop please guide me. I have sc category so dont need that many marks but still give me an idea if it's a good idea to take partial drop if I'm willing to work really hard

Need advice for taking drop/partial drop for IAT 2027

I want to go into IAT but I havent prepared anything till 12th ;-;. I passed 12th this year and gave Iat but didn't really get a good score to qualify

I need like 130-150 next year and I'm leaning towards taking partial drop because of family pressure and it will be hard to study at home with full drop. I also dont know if i can definitely clear it next year so I'm thinking about joining btech and preparing everyday 5-6 hrs for Iat daily with more time on weekends

Do you guys think this would be possible or i should take full drop? Please give me advice on how to prepare also. like should i take a sciastra batch ive been seeing them everywhere but saw mixed reviews

Partial Drop For IAT 2027

Hi I know most people advise against taking a partial drop but I feel like I could maybe give it a shot as I dont have many options left.

I don't actually have any prior prep for any entrance tests because I was lazy. Then I passed 12th and suddenly the realisation hit me that I need to get in a college and think about my future lol😭 I never had any big motivation for doing Btech but I started to learn more about IISERS and it seemed like a better option for me. I have wanted to learn physics before but I kind of gave up on the dream early and never really had any other passion after that. I realised IISER might be good option for me but it was too late to prepare and I gave IAT this year and got like 4 or 5 correct in maths and physics.

Now, I could take drop but as I'm not that familiar with careers in research or physics it is quite risky for me and I dont even know if I'll be able to get in next year I have no prior experience with iat prep. Also it'll be hard to answer to parents and family because they dont know much about iisers either and i dont know how to explain what i wanna do. I just want to study physics or maybe explore other fields at iiser and I'll feel really bad if I never gave it a shot. This is the only thing I feel motivated to do right now

So anyways I m most likely going to a tier 2/3 college for btech and need some advice on whether I can crack iat 2027. I have a category so that gives me a little more hope to get an iiser at around 100-150 marks with partial drop. But i dont know how likely it is to score that much in one year with this path as i dont have earlier experience with studying for iat.

I can do my best to study around 5-6 hrs(or more if possible) everyday after my college. and more on weekends

Can you guys please give me some sort of idea if its an achievable goal? Also how should I prepare as currently I'm thinking about joining the sciastra dropper batch but any other suggestions are welcome.

Masters in Physics after studying CS

Hi, I'm from India and starting college this year. I want to study physics but I'm not getting any good institutes where I can learn physics and honestly I'm not completely sure if I want to do physics as a career in future.

Is it possible to get admission for a master's in physics after studying CS if i learn physics alongside my degree? How tough is it to do both?

I searched online about this query but most results were mixed on different eligibility criterias of unis so I'm confused if its a rare chance or something genuinely doable. I'm open to doing master's in India aswell as abroad so if anyone has good knowledge on this topic please guide me

Poland study and part time work

Hi! Would you guys recommend coming to Poland for graduation? Is it possible to cover just living expenses (excluding tuition) in Poland with part time work and knowing decent polish? And can you manage part time work while studying a degree such as Physics or engineering?

Please help me with some queries about private studienkolleg

So I passed my 12th grade in India and looking to join studienkolleg in winter intake 2026 or in feb/march 2027 intake for T-course. I havent learnt German yet but saw some programs where I can apply with A2 level german and learn the rest there along with FSP preparation.

So my questions:

  1. Is it realistically possible to learn good C1/C2 level German in one year with alot of practice? Anyone here did the same and were you properly able to understand German taught courses in uni with this much practice?

2)If i join Stk during feb/march intake am i eligible to apply for winter intake of unis after my stk as i heard intake has more programs?

3)Can you live by part time work in Germany if you dont spend excessively and is it manageable to work part time during uni ?(i plan to study physics or computer science)

  1. Please recommend some good private stks who starts from A2/B1 and FSP is nationwide accepted.

I have been talking to a consultancy and they have been telling me to go to germany through them but they are telling me to join english taught stk and their FSP is only accepted in partner unis should i go with this? they havent disclosed properly which unis are available and say I need to enroll first
