I've accidentally listed one adult instead of two... does anyone know if this is a big deal?

Can anyone shed some light on the supposed AMEX surcharge ban?
As I’m sure we’re all aware, starting Oct 1 2026, all VISA and MC transactions can no longer be surcharged. - AMEX excluded
This has been posted recently on the AMEX merchant website:
AMERICAN EXPRESS RESPONSE TO RBA PAYMENTS REFORM
Amex supports the Reserve Bank of Australia's recommendation to remove surcharging. We will update our Terms and Conditions for Amex Card Acceptance where required and we will implement these changes by 1 October 2026. We will work closely with our Merchants and partners over the coming months to support a smooth transition.

Does this essentially mean Amex surcharges will be removed and no longer exist? Similar to the VISA / MC surcharge removal?
I’m considering jumping shift to a MC, just looking in at all info before I make a change.

I’m hoping you can please provide me with some guidance. Any assistance is appreciated.
I’m 19 years old, I currently have a no annual fee AMEX points earning card with a A$4,800 limit. I always keep the utilisation below 25% and pay the entire balance in full. This was my first ever dealing with credit and I have had the card for one year and like it so far.
This has done me well, and although I know not comparable to Equifax etc, has given me a decent score on the ClearScore app of 877.
Only downside with the AMEX is the acceptance. I would like to open a Mastercard no annual fee that I use in the times where the Amex is not accepted. I’m looking at Bendigo Bank Ready Credit Card due to the no annual fee and the complimentary travel insurance.
I am only hesitant in opening this, as I am afraid it will tank my credit score. I also worry if it is bad to have two credit cards linked to my credit score.
My score currently looks like this
- July 2025 - Amex application & approval
- Oct 2025 - Amex CLI. (To $4800)
I am VERY responsible with my spending so not worried in the department of overspending - I’m not getting this new card to access more credit.
What I’d essentially like to know is what I’m doing unideal, and how much roughly will it drop my score by and will it fully recover after 12ish months?

If I need to cancel this how does this work?
I know it’s like a 5000pt fee to cancel
But how does this work into the points (125k) I’ve paid as well as the taxes ($1200 AUD) are these both refunded back to me entirely?

Just received this notification today ! No idea what it’s about
However before I had 45K miles, taking me above the 40k to qualify for Elite (I have elite status currently)
However now with this reduction I now have 38K miles - therefore below the 40K to be elite.
I’ve checked my app and everything still shows elite status, however does this mean my elite status will be removed or no longer work?
My main concern is I am traveling with Singapore airlines soon in economy and want to use my star alliance gold status that I have with TK elite!
Has anyone else seen this before?

I just have one last question regarding linking FF’s
I noticed that you can have two frequent flyer memberships linked, more specifically
One in the FQTV column: where the mileage is credited to
The other in the FQTS column: the account that enables status
I am star alliance gold with Turkish Airlines - I entered my membership number at the time of booking but I am thinking this counts as the FQTV column.
I want to have the FQTS column as my TK membership, and the FQTV as my KrisFlyer
The website notes that this can be changed by live chat, which I requested and she noted that they can’t put another carriers membership number in the FQTS column. I was conveniently told this after she already changed this, causing it to be FQTS: KrisFlyer (I have no status) and FQTV as TK, although I requested it to be the other way around.
I asked her to remove the KrisFlyer for my peace of mind, and leave my TK number but I worry that this will mean they don’t recognise my gold status?
Does anyone know if I can call them instead to request what I want in each column?
Or if my benefits will still be recognised? My app shows my frequent flyer linked to the booking is my Turkish airlines (which I want)

I flew TK in Business Class return SIN-FCO
I’m an Elite miles and smiles member
I arrived on the final leg back in Singapore with my suitcase wheel being ripped off as well as a large hole in the suitcase.
I’ve filed a report at the airport and also filed a claim with TK online, this was just under a month ago- I’ve heard nothing. Only on the tracking of the claim that it has ‘been forwarded to the compensation unit’
I’ve called them 3 times seeking and update and they say they will call me in 24h or I they have escalated this to a higher authority and I will receive a response in 24-48h
Still nothing
I always fly TK and have such a positive experience but this has really put me off
Has anyone had any other experience with this?

My status with Turkish Airlines (star alliance member) provides me with Star Alliance GOLD. I have added my Turkish Airlines membership number at the time of booking.
I have a few queries regarding this so hoping you guys can help!

As I’ll be traveling with my 2 parents too, will they also be allowed to check in at the business class check in counter along with me (we’re on the same booking) if I’m the only star alliance gold member? Same question with priority boarding - will they be able to board with me too
Extra Luggage
As 25KG is included with my fare, I believe I’m entitled to an extra 20KG (45KG total) - when I check my app it still only shows that I still only have 25KG.
Lounge Access
Accessing the lounges I know I’m only allowed myself and one extra guest. This is probably a silly question but would it be likely they would let myself plus both of my parents through?
GOLD status
Is it normal on the app/on my booking that it doesn’t mention my gold status anywhere? When I get to the airport will I need to show them my status to be able to access all of these privileges or will it be already linked to my booking as well as auto be listed on my boarding pass.

Looking at purchasing a second hand Oura ring in near new condition.
I’ve heard (unfortunately) many stories of people’s rings breaking within 1 year or so
I wanted to know, for whatever reason if the second hand ring I purchase fails, will oura likely replace it with warranty being a second hand purchase without the receipt
If I had the receipt of the original purchaser would this change anything?
