Linda should run from Absolute Abra Kadabra

Dude has kidnapped Linda during their wedding, made everyone forget she existed. And also gave her some very serious depression. Abra Kadabra is pretty much Flash's biggest opp after Reverse Flash and Zoom in levels of shit they do to Flash's loved ones

Mister Bones, Director of the DEO

A character who many saw coming given how many connections his mainline version has to stuff that already was in the Absolute Universe.
Mister Bones debuted as a villain of Infinity Inc. (they were like the Teen Titans for Golden Age legacy character), during the series, he would reform and join the team and stay until they disbanded at the end of their series.
Now, what is Bones? He was experimented on his mother's womb, giving him the powers of invisible skin and a toxic sweat that kills everything he touches, also called his "Cyanide Touch". So no, Bones isn't a skeleton, he is a black man (yes, he has been confirmed to be black on more than one ocasion) with invisible skin. He also used to rhyme.
His most notable feat was being forced to touch Skyman (Star-Spangled Kid) by Grundy, which would lead to Stargirl being created.
Then he would become Director Bones and lead the DEO. Showing up whenever the plot involved the goverment had to deal with metahuman issues, most of the time sending Chase Cameron to deal with it because the X Files were popular at the time. But just as characters like Waller and Maxwell Lord became less morally dubious and just outright evil, so did Bones.
During Batwoman, he had convinced himself that Jacob Kane, Batwoman's dad, was also his father. So he made a convoluted scheme involving Batman, Batwoman and Alice to get his revenge.
After that he went back to his usual stick, until Infinite Frontier where he got the idea to sacrifice the Justice Society to Darkseid so he would leave the prime universe alone, during the time Darkseid was starting to amass power to create the Absolute Universe

Absolute Writers Recommendations

Criterias used were ease of acess to new readers (in stories based on pre-existing characters), if their vibes are somewhat to the Absolute Titles, and some DC title bias

Scott Snyder: American Vampire, 34 issues. Could have gone with his Batman run, but that be a boring answer. American Vampire was a DC Vertigo title, telling the story of vampires throughout the decades

Kelly Thompson: Captain Marvel, 50 issues. Kelly was probably the hardest to choose, she only has good books and her only other DC book was Birds of Prey, a good book, but not very Absolute Wonder Woman like. So I settled on her Captain Marvel run, which is said to have saved the character from her terrible reputation post Civil War II, kinda like some say Absolute Wonder Woman saved Wonder Woman's mainstream reputation

Jason Aaron: Scalped, 60 issues. Another DC Vertigo title, a western comic that follows the inhabitants of a native reserve dealing with crime, poverty and such

Jeff Lemire: Animal Man, 30 issues. Kinda breaks my rules a bit. Since it's a New 52 title, you doesn't need to read Grant Morrion's Animal Man to understand it. Though I would highly recommed reading it as well. Lemire expended a lot on the characters lore and both runs are well regarded. New 52 Animal Man being considered "One of the few New 52 titles worth reading" by New 52 haters

Al Ewing: Immortal Hulk, 50 issues. The Ewing story to most Ewing. Cosmic horror, deep pulls, philosophical questioning and such. At it's height, it outsold Batman. I high Hulk comics seek to this day

Deniz Camp: Ultimates, 24 issues. Some may be familiar with the Ultimate Universe as "Marvel's Absolute Universe gone too soon" with the gimmick of "a month in between each issue" which made some of the books lose steam by the end, though Ultimates wasn't one of them. I totally broke the rules on this one, since you really need to read Ultimate Invasion and Ultimate Universe to understand the plot. But if you love Absolute Martian Manhunter suddle anti-establishment themes... This one isn't at all, their goal is clearly to end the establishment

Pornsak Pichetshote: Sandman Universe: Dead Boy Detectives, 6 issues. A mini series following two ghost boys from the Sandman Universe. Certainly the most unknown title here. Most people that have heard about them probably know from the Doom Patrol episode they show up in, or the Netfix series. This one, they deal with Thai ghosts, given Pornsak's Thai-American experiences. While it does take some information from previous Dead Boy Detectives series, there's nothing really important to the plot. Though I would recommend reading Sandman #25 to get their origins

Tried getting one for Che Grayson, but most of her work has been as a guest writter or in anthologies. Only think I got is Dark Spaces: Good Deeds, though I haven't read it

Trans Spidey is hitting the trans community like crack was hitting minorities in the 80s

Not complaning as long as it leads to people remembering Ultimate Jessica Drew existed

Dawnstar, DC's first recurring native hero (Legion of Super-Heroes)

Dawnstar is a Super-Hero from the 31st Century that lives on the planet Starhaven, her people were native americans who were abducted by aliens and gained wings, travel and track through space. She's by far one of the strongest designs in the Legion of Superheroes, being very recognizable and barely changing over the years (biggest being how much cleavage she's showing). Though if she ever were to appear again in more modern comics, they should try incorporating more native elements to her, modernize it a little
