URX Core75 BT doesn't work anymore

[SOLVED] I had to hold the fn+q/w/e key combo instead of pressing once to put it in pairing mode, as the URX team's comment suggests.

I have been using this keeb since 13th July, mostly on wired. I did check BT and 2.4G back then and it seems to work fine.

Today I needed to connect it to my phone so I switched it to BT.

Note that I have updated firmware between these two timelines but didnt test BT after that.

It doesn't show up in available bluetooth devices on any device right now. Only 2.4g and wired seem to work right now, bt does not.

I have tried:

  1. Resetting with fn+space multiple times

  2. Flashing firmware again. Earlier it was flashed with VIA, this time I tried VIAL. All from URX wiki.

  3. Searching for the BT name on multiple devices

  4. All 3 BT options, fn+q, fn+w, fn+e

None seem to fix it.

Can anyone suggest what I should do? Should I file a RMA to URX?

Grok decided I need a Corgi image. What a blatant waste of resources.

They sent a notification, i clicked it, and it auto-sent this prompt and started generating the image. They could have atleast given us the control to click the send button. But nah they need their Daily User Metrics with dark patterns.

URX CORE75 - Firmware Flashing in Linux

There is not a proper guide how to flash firmware on linux in the core75 wiki so i am dropping the tutorial here:

Step1: Plug in the usb-c cable while holding ESC to put the keeb in Bootloader mode.

Step 2: Run lsusb and see if there is any device similar to this: Bus 001 Device 013: ID 03eb:2045 Atmel Corp. LUFA Mass Storage Demo Application

Step 3: Download the .bin file from here. (choose VIA if you plan to use URX HUB in future)

Step 4: Mount the 106.0KB LUFA USB MASS storage device.

Step 5: Run df -h and note the directory where it has been mounted.

Step 6: Run cp ~/Downloads/urx_core75_default.bin /run/media/$USER/****-****/FLASH.BIN
(replace ****-**** with the name of your mounted device; eg: BA55-6B1D)
(also replace /run/media/$USER/****-****/ with the actual mounted location shown by df -h)

Step 7: Run sync

Congrats. Your keeb is flashed and the RGBs will come back after a few seconds and the LUFA MASS storage device will unmount automatically.

Google is purposely sabotaging degooglers

Since we already know about this reCAPCHA thing (link) and how it is going to affect everyone with a degoogled phone along with concerns like scammers impersonating reCAPCHA with they own QR, I request every website owner here to try to shift to an alternative like Cloudflare Turnstile or ALTCHA rather than using reCAPCHA by Google. This will let us evade Google's tactics for now atleast.

Does anyone here have a idea what will happen to the people who don't use a smartphone? How will they even scan the QR?
