How do you store your amigurumi?

My favorite hobby is making amigurumi of characters from shows and video games I love. I have probably 60 amigurumi of different adventure time characters for example, because that was my hyperfixation for a few months. For now I have them on a small shelf in my office but it's already almost completely full and I don't want to stop making more amigurumi anytime soon

Not only is the process extremely fun, I also love making essentially my own merch. But with all the things I still want to make, I think I will need like an entire wall full of shelves at some point and we do not have the space for that. So I'm wondering if anyone has found a good way of storing/displaying them that neither takes up too much space, nor does is it just putting them in a box where they can't be seen and enjoyed.

Also I know the answer might be that it's not possible and I just have to accept that only a select few will be able to be on display at once 😂 but I still want to see what Ideas are out there before I accept the storage boxes :D

I hate this take so much

  1. The Holocaust did not happen to white people. Race is a social construct. The people it happened to were people who were seen as racially inferior and experienced a racialized extermination campaign. US standards of whiteness from 2026 do not change that. This is a completely ahistorical take.

Also as someone who actually lives and grew up in Germany, you can't use American racial constructs as an analytical tool to understand the Holocaust or racial dynamics within Germany or Europe. The standards of whiteness are a lot more rigid here and people who would not experience racism in the US do experience racism here. Nationality is still more relevant in Europe than race is. (And by that I'm not trying to say race isn't relevant or racism isn't bad here. It's extremely bad. I have a few friends here who are African American, so they've experienced both and they've all said Germany is way worse.) The point I'm trying to make is that Germany is so racist it will racially discriminate against the "white" people next door. Greek people, Turkish people, Arabs (who have been considered white in the US for longer than Jews have), everyone from Slavic or Balcan countries, are all not white in germany and are not treated as white. Same with Jews. Yes, to this day.

  1. This take is inherently minimizing, at least in the current Zeitgeist. It positions the Jews under the same banner as the white people who were colonizers, when in reality, the Jews had been experiencing discrimination by those same white people for approx. 1600 years before colonialism happened. Racism and antisemitism (aka racialized Jew hatred) were invented by the same people and at the same time. And during the period of colonialism, jews were treated like the local colonial subjects. You can literally look up texts written by German colonists and how they made direct connections between the Jews back home and the African colonial subject. Same with the methods of oppression used against both the people Europeans were colonizing and the Jews. Like it's giving "who cares they gassed 1 million children, they were white children".

  2. It targets the wrong people. We are not the people who did the colonizing, we are not the people who did the Holocaust, we are not the people deciding how states label their past crimes against humanity. I agree that there needs to be way more examination and reckoning with what these states actually did during the colonial period. I'm not trying to take anything away from anyone, nor am I trying to turn suffering into a contest. So why is the Holocaust constantly treated like fair game to minimize in these conversations. I get that Americans are taught more about the Holocaust than colonial crimes. But the reason for that is not because the Jews paid someone off to focus on the Holocaust, it's because WW2 is the one time the US was on the right side of history and states always have an inherent interest in self-preservation. Spinning a narrative that hides the true history is part of that. Also it conveniently conceals the role the US did play in the Holocaust happening. It conceals how the visa system was invented to keep out Jews. In conceals how many Nazi scientists the US gave asylum to. Etc.

  3. The comments are full of just straight up Holocaust denial, some of which the creator liked, all of which are just up there without pushback from the creator. So like, great job for giving your followers an invitation to just be blatantly antisemitic. Also Israel being a fascist shit hole doesn't actually make the Holocaust less bad. The people who the Nazis killed had never stepped foot into Palestine, so that's also not a justification for downplaying the Holocaust. Also cue the Holodomor denial.

  4. The comments are mentioning the Irish potato famine and how that's not referred to as a genocide, but not as proof that maybe the take is clearly simplistic and wrong but instead as further proof of it's correctness. And the creator is liking those comments. I'm sorry are Irish people less white than Jews now? Lol? Is the Irish participation in British colonial endeavors and the slave trade, which was far greater than the very minimal Jewish involvement irrelevant now?

  5. The numbers game in the comments is... Interesting. Because that's the same rhetoric the Israeli far right uses as a defence against the genocide accusations. Kind of surprising to see it used under a video like that.

Edit to add: 7. It was called the Holocaust because that's the word Jews came up with after it happened. That word didn't exist before. So what exactly is the complaint? That Jews came up with a term for their genocide and that's the word that's used to refer to it?

Are y'all introverted or extroverted?

For some reason I always thought people with ADHD are more extroverted, probably because I have a lot of friends with ADHD (wow surprise, we find each other even before being diagnosed) and most of them are extroverted, but I am very introverted. I don't have a super large social battery, I need at least a few hours a day of alone time and I also have some social anxiety and more difficulties with making new friends than they seem to have.

And then recently I was thinking about this topic and suddenly realized that I still had this implicit belief that people with ADHD tend to be more extroverted even though I have had the diagnosis for a while, I just never really put two and two together 😂😂

So I was wondering, how is your experience? Do you think the ADHD affects your social battery? And do you think it's different for women vs men?

I feel so defeated right now. It's all so unfair.

I guess in the year 2026 in some western European countries, the law still only defines a stranger raping you violently while you scream and yell no as rape and when it happens within a relationship it doesn't matter. Everything I did was wrong. The fact I said no so often, confronted him about it regularly, cried and screamed while being raped doesn't matter and wasn't enough. The fact that I didn't immediately call the police the first time he put his hands on me means I can never get justice. The fact I went to therapy to try and deal with the severe and debilitating PTSD symptoms will also be used against me in court because apparently that means I automatically have false memories, even if the focus was on dealing with the present and not recounting the past. The fact that I dissociated while being raped sometimes and don't remember every single time means I am an unreliable witness. The fact that I told friends and family about it over the years and never changed my story means nothing. The fact I have journal entries from the time where I write about my experiences means nothing. It was wrong of me to be nineteen and not immediately understand what was happening to me and therefore not immediately go to the police. It was wrong of me to not know exactly what the law was and what the standard of evidence was and not take out my phone and film while I was being raped and also wrong of me to not keep screaming no again and again when I had learned that nothing I did mattered anyway.

She told me she thinks it was absolutely rape and that other lawyers and anyone really who knows anything about rape agree but they can't change the law. She told me that the case of rape has the highest standards for the victims and you can say you forgot something if your purse was stolen for example but when something so traumatic was happening to you that it changes you for the rest of your life and you forget parts of it, the law will use that against you. Even though both my case and my reaction when it comes to partner sexual violence is textbook, the law is decades behind on this stuff and will use things that are well established in psychological research as reactions to this kind of trauma as proof it actually didn't happen. It's not like I had high expectations for the justice system anyway but it's actually so much worse than I could have ever thought. I need to have therapy to restructure my brain so I can have sex without literally being retraumatized, even five years later, and he gets to continue living his life completely scot-free and probably traumatize his next partners the same way.

How do Seizures look?

I started 300 maybe two weeks ago and two days ago I just randomly lost consciousness and fell from my chair. I have no memory except suddenly waking up on my office floor with my flatmates around me. Went to the hospital but they didn't find anything (they checked mainly the heart, blood, brain). I do have family member with Epilepsy and I used to get seizures when I was younger (almost a decade ago) but they felt completely different. Maybe I fainted cause my blood sugar was very low or something, idk. But wondering for those who got seizures on Wellbutrin, how did they happen for you?

My mom acts like the steps I've taken to protect myself from her are as bad as what she did to me

I have kept her at arms length ever since she pushed me to the point that I had to force myself to stop thinking of her as my mother and went through the process of grieving someone who was still alive. This was probably 4 years ago.

She calls this rejection, cold heartedness and indifference. She guilt trips me and says she cries so much because of how I treat her. My boundaries are unacceptable. There is no excuse for not reaching out to her as much as she wants me to, to not be up to her standards. I was severely depressed for 3 years. I was not reaching out to anyone, and I repeatedly told her that. I said I'm sorry, it's not personal, I am doing so badly, I'm trying my best to still reach out to you. She made my depression all about her feelings of rejection. She pressured me and stressed me to reach out to the point every notification from her caused me anxiety.

She's acting like my response to her abuse is abuse in and of itself. She says yes, she pushed me away for years but now I'm doing that to her. I don't know how to respond to this. Yes, I am keeping her at arms length. I understand that might be hurtful. But I am doing it as a response to years of abuse and as a way to protect myself from her. She says the only way for our relationship to heal is for me to forgive her. All the responsibility is on me to mend our relationship yet again, despite the fact that I was the one trying everything to fix it for years and she was spitting on my efforts all that time and just destroying everything over and over again. I have forgiven her. I have given her all the chances I had. I am just at my limit. Forgiveness without change is impossible. I am not asking for much when I ask to not be abused and to be accepted for who I am and not constantly pushed to become someone who's more like my mother, whatever that may be at the moment (she went from far right to anti vaxxer to now extremely religious and always wanted me to follow suit, which I have less than zero interest in). Maybe I am taking back the forgiveness I've given because the wounds are never given the chance to actually heal before she rips it all open again.

The only thing that will fix our relationship is for her to show me she can change. I will not accept abusive behavior anymore. I recently had to tell the same thing to my dad, and he apologized and took it to heart. My mother just feels guilty, wants me to forgive her to ease her own consciousness and then repeat the same cycle over and over again. I have wrung myself out of forgiveness. I just can't do it anymore.

How do I go about telling people, if at all

I was sexually abused by my ex partner. This is about 5 or 6 years ago. I suffer from (diagnosed) PTSD daily. Maybe it's because I am currently working on it in therapy but I want to do something. I've already gotten an appointment with a victim counseling organization to talk about maybe filing a complaint. I am scared of the thought but I cannot keep going like this. Leaving this man unpunished.

All of our friends broke off contact with me back then, after the breakup. I also removed myself from the situation because it was triggered by being in his proximity. I think the narrative he told everyone was that we broke up because I cheated, which didn't happen, even if it did I would not have deserved the SA but that's why I believe people stopped reaching out to me. Even someone who was my best friend for years who I had at the time recently reconnected with, stopped reaching out. I am very angry about this. I told one of his friends about it a year ago, that was the first time I ever talked to someone who knows him about it since it happened and he did take it seriously but I don't know what else happened with that. I didn't want to talk to my ex and I felt bad about involving him in the first place. But there is this blanket of silence from everyone in his life towards me.

The reason they probably think I cheated is because his best friend broke off contact after the breakup. But that was not because we cheated on him, because that never happened, it was because I told him my ex was physically, emotionally and sexually abusive and he didn't want to be friends with someone like that.

Maybe I am being very irrational but I have drafted messages to people he knows. I have not sent them and I probably never will. Maybe it's best to wait for the counseling appointment and just let it go otherwise. But I can't help but be angry at the fact that everyone believed my abuser and they, including the women in our lives, turned their back on me, a 19 year old abusive victim at the time. Maybe it's also my fault because I protected him with my silence. I don't want to do that anymore but I also don't know how.

Can anyone share their experiences with coming out about a story like this?

I just went no contact with my mother

Our relationship was always difficult and mainly characterized by her pushing me away and me always running after her like an idiot and hoping anything would change.

We had a fight two weeks ago, I (stupidly) asked her to meet up today which we did, we talked about our fight and she told me she wasn't going to "open her heart to me" if I was angry, then said that my anger shows her that I hate her.

I said she was projecting with that (because I was desperate, not hateful but if she convinces herself I hate her then it's easier for her to justify the way she treats me) and that I don't know what I'm supposed to do if she is convinced I hate her and I'm not allowed to be angry.

Then she said I was gaslighting her and that her telling me she could see the hate in my eyes was her opening her heart and that I was reacting sarcastically to it. Then she said she's leaving.

I was sitting on the bench, so overwhelmed that I couldn't speak or move for a minute or so.

I turned to her and told her that I had given everything I could to this relationship, I had tried everything I could possibly think of, I don't know what more I can give and nothing I do changes anything. I was so desperate for her to understand, to just give me anything. Both my body and my voice were completely shaking. But before I could even properly finish the sentence, she told me "then stop trying to have a relationship with me".

So I said fine and left. She wanted to say something else to me but I already had my headphones in. I blocked her everywhere.

She can't see how much I tried despite the severe emotional abuse she has put me through. I've been rejected by her over and over and over again and it's always me crawling back to her. I met up with her hoping that maybe it would be okay, maybe we could talk about it but she was so cold. Everything I did was wrong. Being honest about my feelings is wrong, hiding how hurt I am by her is wrong, getting angry at her is wrong, reacting to her saying I hate her is also wrong.

It was the last thing I needed to take the plunge. I had been thinking about going no contact for at least 8 months, but didn't because I knew it would hurt her. Because she married some dude she met on the internet and is leaving the continent next month to move in with him. My older brother has been no contact with her (on and off, but still) since he was 14.

I was walking to the bus station and suddenly she honks at me from her car and gestures to the door. I wanted to keep walking but I went up, and she asked me if she should drive me home. I don't know what to make of that or what she wanted, maybe she felt sorry after she said it but that isn't enough anymore. She needs to think about these things before she says them. She's done this so many times, shoving me away from her, throwing me out of my home, the car, the room I was in, and then she feels sorry afterwards. Sometimes. But it's not enough. Being rejected by someone who is supposed to love you cuts so deep. What she said was so cruel. I yelled through the open window no, she told me I should stop trying to have a relationship with her so I'm doing that, that she's blocked everywhere and that she should leave me alone now. And she sped off. Well she had to stop at a red light 30 metres away, but still.

I guess I am writing this because I'm worried I did something wrong and she isn't actually as bad as I think or maybe I want other people who also have shitty moms to commiserate with me. Idk I feel very empty right now and I need to put these feelings somewhere

What do you guys do in the endgame?

I've finished every quest, I've completed the DLC adventures, my Compendium is full, my armor is fully upgraded. I am currently killing all the Talus and Hinox for kilton. Then probably gonna look for some Koroks. I am planning on playing totk after but I'm not quite ready to let go of this version of Hyrule. Is there anything I can do?
