How would Kashimos sure hit lightning interact if you were teleported via boogie woogie?

Genuine dumb question because I dont know the physics behinds lightning. Liked that panel where Hakari sees the lighting coming after him, what if Todo swapped him with a rock? Does it travel to the rock, switch courses towards Hakari, or just fizzle out?

Genuine question cause I’m not too well versed in MBA, does MBA Kash pass the Maho test?

He does have the same type of isolation of strength themes as the other two who passed

Curious if anyone who has read “drawing on the right side of the brain” can send their first exercises :’D

Did the self portrait, the human subject, and your own hand.

I know the book says this is going to look bad because we don’t know construction yet, I’m trying hard to fight my low self esteem and really learn proper techniques and practice to learn art now instead of not practicing fundamentals, but these drawings look so awful to me.

I’m just curious if anyone else can send their beginner works from this section or even better before and afters, for motivation :) 🥹

Gege and Yutas beautiful subversion of the Copy Cat archetype

Making this mainly for myself to link lol because of a separate post I saw taking about Copy Power characters being boring, and someone bringing Yuta up saying he is too.

Preface this showing my bias, but I LOVE copy characters (especially those who have more thought behind it, like Gege did with Yuta) I’d go as far to say it’s my favorite type of power in any series, which I know might be boring but it’s not just because it’s “every possible power” but for specifically HOW copy powers interact and change the user of said power (in this case Yuta)

Every author who brings in a copy character also brings in additional writing hurdles and struggles to juggle, how to balance it within their subset of world building and the power system, and how to make sure less relevant characters don’t get fridged off and useless. I have a character as the deuteragonist of a story I’ve been wanting to do for a while who has a copy power, and I’ve put days into making it work with my blood based power system and to make it not take away from other characters as well, involving blood mixing via alchemy and soul manipulation. I think I’ve worked on something good, but I do really believe it’s hard to balance these types of powers in a story.

That’s where Gege and Yuta really freaking impress me from a writing standpoint.

First off, a smaller but still awesome point, just Yutas power being able to copy, while he himself is so full of love and admiration for those around him yet too little interest in himself, is awesome from a Cursed Technique standpoint representing a “curse” along with him having to permanently harm others to utilize it compared to his deeply compassionate nature (for the people who say “Copy doesn’t make sense thematically for him!”)

But the main point is what I LOVE about Yuta, Jujutsu Kaisen, and Gege. How Yuta uses copy to its fullest strength. He is not the selfish monster that Sukuna is, who would FREAKING ADORE copy and just butcher and eat everyone who comes his way. That doesn’t fit with Yutas character. He can’t use copy to its fullest ability due to his nature.

So he makes his own path, and transforms Copy into the ultimate art of Jujutsu Sorcery; a con act. He doesn’t need the strength of eating and decimating others to power himself up more. He uses his wits, and his smarts. He doesn’t throw aside the people he copies (Geges lack of character interaction arcs aside lmao), he uses them and the bonds he makes for even more strength.

He cons Sukuna into not worrying about techniques he has already used, only to bring them back with the original users when they’re fully off of Sukunas mind now.

Even if he doesn’t finish you off himself, now you’re in a false sense of security thinking “He has X, Y, and Z” only for the original X Y Z to show up and get you again. He is the ultimate con, the infinite wildcard to a fight. You’re worrying about his already overwhelming technique, on top of who else could be an ally of his that can pop out too.

When I was reading Shinjuku weekly, and Sukuna chopped off his arm against Higuruma, I was certain that Yuta was going to eat it and copy shrine. Then when the cliffhanger week of him actually using it came out, I thought the same until he mentions the next chapter “you couldn’t find your final finger could you”

I don’t know who else was reading weekly, but along with Sukuna I do remember a LOT of the community was tricked as well, literally some meta crap lmao. The reveal of YUJI missing two fingers WAS CRAZY, Yuta conned Sukuna to the very damn end of the fight (also a great writing device of Gege to really show why Yuta was once a main character, even out of commission for the fight he was STILL instrumental in the final few blows to Sukuna, along with the new main trio of Yuji Megumi [shadow puddle] and Nobara)

I’ve kind of lost the plot with this post now I’m sorry lmao, but guys I just could gush about this for hours I think. Gege handled Copy Cat powers in such a good manner, yeah it sucks we didn’t see Inumaki and Hana more, but that’s more of a symptom of Geges lack of “inbetween” arcs and interactions rather than copy itself. If we actually still got to see Inumaki and Hana more inbetween fights, I truly believe more people would come to realize how awesome Yutas power set really is.

He isn’t a copy cat, he’s a true con artist and sorcerer to the core. A walking one man army who stands besides the ally’s who make him strong

Request for the Yutaliban research team to look into Jacob’s Ladder, and the false “10% output 15F Sukuna” downscale

Resident /r/Hanarchy hyper and Yuta lover cooking some dumb stuff rn in the kitchen (literally, I’m also in the kitchen at work rn, excuse my bad formatting and spelling)

After just catching up on a Yuta and Kenny debate in discord, I saw the comment of “Kenjaku is walking right through Jacob’s Ladder, it’s only fear is hurting a 10% output/reinforced 15 finger Sukuna” so I wanted to make a post fighting against that belief, because there is a growing number of people who genuinely believe JL is just a beam of tickling.

The first two slides are about Sukunas output, which he only realizing is fluctuating AFTER Hana’s Jacob’s Ladder. Further more in slide two, it’s specifically Fluctuating whilst Sukuna is attacking Megumis friends, by his own words. Along with this, he knows and has fought Angels forces before (mentioned by Yozuro and again in his flashback against Kashimo; forgot those panels oops) so I feel like he would think, due to his prior knowledge, something along the lines of “if I had my full output, that would have been no problem to tank!”

I will say on slide 3, Angel mentions “a stronger hold” but I believe this is referring to: the risk of saving Megumis life (as we know it’s very likely to die stripping a cursed object away with JL, without weakening the connection first, as stated in Shinjuku) or even how Angel notices that Sukuna for some reason hasn’t fully incarnated yet (since again, she knows him and his monstrosity of a body)

Second point: (slide 3-7) The final Jacob’s Ladder was even lower output than people realize

I know, call me Hana Couldsuru for branching into slight theory territory, but I feel this is more than headcanon and lines up perfectly with what we know about Jujutsu.

In slide 3, we see Hana/Angel chanting to increase the output on their jujutsu, along with slides 4-6, she is specifically double gripping the trumpet 🎺. We know jujutsu and the power behind it is tied to subtraction, to shorten your technique and make it quicker (like gojo states in hidden inventory) and then you presumably can cause more pressure, by switching up quick jujutsu with powerfully more chanted attacks.

In slide 7, Sukuna mentions how the Jacob’s Ladder is weaker due to Hana’s missing arm, along with knowing that losing a limb is a drastic loss in output as well (said somewhere in the Yuki vs Kenjaku fight? IRRC, if not maybe Sendai) but what is along with the limb loss, even more output is loss, because the conditions for the full hand sign (gripping the trumpet) aren’t being met.

This isn’t just like a “bit of lost output” it seems to be a very substantial loss in output, both losing a major limb on top of an incomplete handsign.

And Yuta almost certainly does have higher efficiency and output than Angel/Hana, so apply this to him as well. I may be really stretching it, but when activating his sure hit, he raised one hand instead of both lol. The versatility of being able to grab a Cursed Katana is great, instead of being more of a sitting duck using two hands for the hand sign, but I’d say there is a possibility Yutas JL could have been even more strong.

I know this is all basic info probably, but I have seen a growing number of people just act like Jacob’s Ladder adds nothing to Yutas kit after its performance in Shinjuku, so I wanted to make a post about it and how using the two Jacob’s Ladders in Shinjuku is not completely fair. Blame Gege for not showing it more tbh (and to glaze Hana and Yuta some more) I’m not an actual powerscaler, please don’t kill me, I love yall and feel safe here, trust the process 🙏 fun fact for the final slide, I totally believe JL scales higher if you’re evil, so Yuta is even more of a menace. Use this bad boy on Naoya and he’s gonna freaking explode.

Btw this is mainly also a note of things for me to remember for my Fanfic of Hana, Yuji, and Yuta hunting down culling games players after the EOS, with Yuta using a ritual and binding vow to permanently burn Body Swap, in exchange for engraving Technique Extinguishment into his brain to use without copy (at the cost as well of it not appearing in his domain as the swords, as it’s now its own fully fleshed into his brain technique and not apart of Copy at all) so hate all you want im full of whimsy and don’t care

I don’t see much discussion on this so I assume it’s the general consensus, it’s agreed that Sukuna was pretty locked in here, at least in terms of actually finally ending the fight.

Preface by besides a bit of fun discussions and messing with peeps, I’m not actually much of a powerscaler. I’m much more into the story itself, and authors intent and such. So excuse my bad points.

But in terms of Sukunas “interest scaling” that came about after we saw him lock in vs Maki, Sukuna vs Yujo I imagine is pretty close too? Is that the general consensus? Just based on Sukuna seemingly ready to try and break unlimited void within three minutes and then “Kill them all”

When to “lose detail” in comic art perspective/foreshortening

For someone wanting to learn the Manga/Comic medium format, I see how artists tend to do less detail for further away shots and characters compared to close up’s (I know this sounds like basic knowledge ahaha I’m sorry)

But is there a scale or trick to learn when? Like “X amount of length away from the camera, lose Y amount of detail?”

Is it more so an art style thing?

End of Shibuya Yuji is with Maki, Panda, and Toge when Geto attacks jujutsu high to recover Rika and kill Okkotsu. How much more quickly does Geto get defeated?

A friends drawing compared they did via my reference second slide. What should I do to not look as “amateur”?

Actually starting a project so I can learn art during all my free time, instead of just watching YouTube videos or questioning so many courses.

Feeling happy but like I’m stuck on “step one” of everything, but someone did a redraw of mine and it truly looks professional! Tryna learn :)

Any ideas for a fun headcanon, of how Yutas understanding of cursed energy deepened after his JJK 0 black flash.?

(In the anime movie at least)

I like to imagine it strengthened his understanding of the bond between him and Rika, leading to after the fight the beginning of him learning to imprint the husk of her will she left, as the mainline Rika shikigami/whatever she is
