Why Random?

I've always wondered why the unicorn chose Random, who up until that point seemed like the "sidekick" of the family. I JUST realized (maybe I'm dumb) that Random is the ONLY one of the Prince's that was married. Vialle changed him, even Corwin mentions it. Does anyone else think that part of the choice was because he'd gotten married?

Uncle?

Leonidas says he would have liked to go fishing with his SON in the opening. Does that mean the Eagle Bearer has an uncle?

Edit - it's also mentioned in the fight against the heavy big guy. "My son is more of a warrior than you!"

Hello me build Kbob Kaboom

The artificer who's answer to everything is "boom".

As the SIDEKICK to the bb we're facing is throwing 8th rank spells against our 10th level selves, I feel my especially squishy wizard will be gone soon. So I'd like to have a replacement on deck without my previous month building time. I've got a name and a theme, and I turn to the big brains on reddit to help me build him the best possible.

Only note, I prefer to play human if at all possible. Just my quirk.

Ideas please?

Free infinite salvage glitch

OK maybe not infinite, but thousands of shares.

I accidentally skipped past the salvage selection to the final report, then went back to the damage screen and had over 2500 shares of salvage I could grab.

Is this YAML, or Purchase Salvage - Branched, or something else?

What was Rocky doing all that time?

Spoilers ahead...

I've heard that Rocky was just hanging out there for 46 years. Yeah, he was over by the line when Grace showed up. And the two of them had the whole situation fixed in a few months. Wtf was rocky doing for 46 years????

Odd ejection.

So it's a random destruction mission, and a newly graduated Leon is piloting the CAR because he got ac/5 traits in school. Mission is over and we're walking towards evac...

Then out of nowhere, Freeman announces critical damage and ejected.

Mission report...Freeman gets the gold for LEAST damage taken on Mission. 42 points. Shit, he wasn't even internal anywhere it was all light yellow!

Is he a coward now or what?

TIFU by not deleting the "picky fucking bitch" note before printing a receipt (suggested repost)

I work in a hotel, night audit. It's the 4th of July and it's been...aggravating to day the least. That's an excuse. I know I fucked up HARD. Like, this is one of those fuck ups where, I know it's a fuck up, I fucked up, there's no way to fix the fuck up, and I'm going to be embarrassed about this for years to come.

The guest was challenging, but dealing with people treating you like trash is part of the job. I'm "just a fucking desk clerk" and while it gets old being looked down upon, it's a fairly cake job and I can smoke as much as I want.

But she found "a peice of grass or hay" in the first room.

She found "a hair" in the second room

She found "biological matter" (no, I don't know what she found and I'm not going up there to check either) in the 3rd room.

I "suggested" that perhaps they might be happier somewhere else and canceled their room. They left. I called her a picky fucking bitch in the "guest comments" and went on with my work.

They came back. He wanted "whatever it was she signed" (the registration card). I printed out a new copy as I can't photocopy and he didn't want to take a picture of the original on his phone. I did NOT KNOW that guest comments were printed on the registration card. I honestly thought those were private to the hotel staff.

Yeah "PICKY FUCKING BITCH" right there under comments.

I tried to play it off as the housekeeping had checked the system from home and saw 3 new dirty rooms and a departed guest, but it wasn't flying well. They eventually actually left.

TL;DR pay attention before printing receipts to save yourself from soul crushing levels of embarrassment and shame

(A guy from TIFU said y'all would enjoy this too!)

Is everyone aware...?

I just saw ANOTHER post hating on the way sysDef treats you when joining the quest to hunt down the crimson fleet. People talking about them being assholes and "kidnapping" you...

Are you people NOT aware that you do not have to be a fucking criminal to join that quest?????

I did it "as a criminal" the first time and yeah, I got a bit salty when my murder-hobo got thrown in jail (not quite kidnapping, btw) and TREATED like a fucking criminal by sysdef.

Then I did it AGAIN, but by being Vanguard.

SO MUCH BETTER!!!!!! If you're not a fucking criminal, the (organized crime division) sysdef DO NOT TREAT YOU LIKE ONE!!!!!

Holy shit, who could have guessed???
